  • Continue with our walking journey (tour) of Old San Juan, Puerto Rico. We did San Juan on the cheap. We created a self-guided excursion from the Cruise Ship Port Terminal. There is so much to do without breaking the bank and doing a full day of FUN activities for the family off the boat.
Part 2: See a tomb and a mummy (Cathedral de San Juan Bautista) , get MOBBED by Pigeons, Drink a PINA COLADA where pina coladas were created, DO a Famous Umbrella Street Selfie and do a tour at the Castillo San Cristobal (oldest Fort in the USA).
Part 1: We will Walk to the Fuente Raíces (Raices Fountain), see the San Juan Gate and visit Castillo San Felipe del Morro (1500’s Fortress).

Loved part 2. Thank you for outlining everything and providing the cost. I am leaving the pigeons off the list. Fear of birds so I had to fast forward lol.

Enjoyed📽 don't fall for that "birth place" of the piña🍍 colada...it's just a commercial machine pineapple flavored icee 😂
The best ones are homemade with 🥥flavor.

@@AM-dr9qd This is what I have read and leaned in PR. Ponce de León sailed to Havana, Cuba where Ponce de León got shot by an arrow in Florida, soon died of his wounds in Cuba (1521). He then was buried in Puerto Rico, in the crypt of San José Church from 1559 to 1836, when his remains were exhumed and transferred to the Cathedral of San Juan Bautista. Ponce de León tomb lies in the Cathedral. If that differs, please educate me on what you know?

I used a map off of google maps and Images. We did a plan using that map. I have not created a walking map, but maybe I should for Facebook.

@@oscargonza2748 yes but they lost it to the US. It doesn't belong to Spain anymore. Everybody knows the Spaniards built it so it's not necessary to change the name. Is old San Juan forever.
