Part of this Spanish Castles was destroyed after Spain lost Puerto Rico in the Spanish War against United States to build new buldings, new homes and new stress and is sad because when they destroyed part of this Spanish Castles fortress they also destroy part of the Puerto Rican history but this Spanish Castles fortress still the biggest and the oldest structures in the new world the new continent of America. P.s. Irish Soldiers also constructed some buldings in el morro were the soldiers sleep at night and that happens after this Irish soldiers escaped from the English rules so they help Spanish soldiers in their wars against England and others Spanish wars against pirates French and Holland attacks, most of this Irish soldiers make their new residence in Puerto Rico when they married with puerto Rican beautiful womas at first some Puerto Ricans people wanted them out of the island but others wanted them to stay and that's why some Puerto Rican people in this present days have Irish last names some of them are famous one's. 🇪🇸 🇵🇷 🇺🇸
