It's not so much as just high wattages but the rated amps supplied to the card as per requirements. The 6600XT is a very good card in both performance and value.
Well said. Yes the sufficient amp is also needed to ve drawn. Fortunately the 500 watt amp rating is just enough to power the 6600xt . I was thinking to switch 3060ti or 3070 but seeing the 6600xt performance I'm sticking with it for some time .
I dropped a rx 6650 xt in with a 400 PSU, uses less wattage than the previous rx580 I had in there. Saw a massive increase with quality and cooling. Mind you I only use this mini for emulators and WoW
@AmericaTerrapin yeah it still has good resources to keep up with latest titles. I dropped an amd 6700 xt as a final upgrade with 500 psu. And working flawlessly .
The final upgrade i made is the rx 6700xt ! I got the sapphire 6700xt ( which is within the last safe limit for the psu I have) and almost reached from back to front of the case but somehow I got lucky and been a year no problem and no heating issue. Stable as a rock. Now about the 4 pin connector , if you can locate the psu I have here ( the description has the model number ) you would be lucky to find all cables require for the 12v rail connector and even two pcie e 8 pin connectors. All of them has Grove so you won't have to risk connecting the wrong end of the cable ! Good luck . Ps : if you have this machine I would suggest go with rtx 4060ti which would consume less power and better dlls
I believe as long as it has the necessary pins to plug in the motherboard it should work. The little white pins that connect with the mobo is crucial here. The psu I'm using is not listed as supported with the baker motherboard I have ( on hp support list ) but it fits perfectly . And it's been months i haven't have any issue
