Damn, Gnome really is the only DE with actual UI and UX designers. I wish KDE can step up their game - they look like a cheap copy of Windows 11 with high contrast even tho Microsoft was the copycat.
@@ouro2164 i love gnome and used it since years, in fact it was Pop OS which convinced me. But it was plenty modified, gnome vanilla didnt appeal to me. And System 76 showed a problem with gnome, that is their developpers dont listen to users or other developpers. System 76 has professional users and decided after a long struggle to develop their own DE (a mistake in my opinion). So they may have a point.
Yes, nothing better than apps with barely any functionality. The entirety of Gnome's apps are basically useless, because they offer literally no functions. Loupe? Can't do something as basic as crop a picture. Gnome's approach to UX/UI is basically "remove all functions that we arbitrarily deem useless", so they don't have to actually design anything. Nautilus is kind of slow, despite only offering half the functionality of Dolphin.
@@ouro2164 "Tell me you never used KDE without telling me you never used KDE." KDE is way ahead of GNOME (pronounced Guh-NOME) in every single way. GNOME is the worse DE in comparison and is worse in customization too, having to install another app to change basic settings like getting back the minimize and maximize buttons and needing an extension for blur in the DE is so clunky, the only thing GNOME has going for is familiarity and that too will slowly be fading away as KDE gets updated to have even more features.
@@randomcloudinskyThe only problem with DaVinci Resolve on Linux is lack of H264 input/output in the free version, because Linux OS doesn't contain any free codec that Resolve could use. So it can't do it. But it exists in the paid version of Resolve.
Great Video 😍, and quality is excellent. Can you suggest video editor and images manipulation software that suit well with gtk4 and utilizes nvidia / intel integrated gpu. Also I am happy to know how you are handling image, video and audio... Are you using linux for production ?
Yes I use Nector for creating thumbnails. I developed the app myself... I'll try to launch it when it's ready enough. GIMP is great btw. For editing, I use DaVinci Resolve.
@@ArcTechnologies Nice to see that. I hope the English-speaking community will have the opportunity to get the English script next time. Thanks in advance)
That's a very deep overview. Thanks a lot. I can't wait for it due to the Wayland VR support and early HDR support!
Thanks for watching!
Early HDR support is useless.
That was the most in-depth preview of GNOME 47, I was really looking forward to it already but this video made me even more excited for it!
Thank you so much!!

Oh I love Gnome too!

Nice Editing 😯 What software do you use for video editing ? Gnome is so gorgeous btw.
I use DaVinci Resolve. Thanks for watching!

Been using Davinci for years on Linux, but of late Davinci Studio has become very buggy windows or Linux so use kdenlive or Sony Vegas.
You didn't talk about fractional scaling improvements, is the blurry xwayland window actually fixed?
@@chiragverma8827 Yes, it’s fixed. I stopped using font scaling.
The devs made a very nice choice with the custom accent colors, it’s one of my favorite out-of-the-box Ubuntu features.
pitty they didn't extend the color picker to the folder color in Files. it looks weird with the blue folders... maybe next time.
where is the link for this gnome 47 to download and test?
You can drag and drop folders to nautilus sidebar.

Sorry mate, got caught up with something else for few minutes. I always try to reply to everyone. 🫂❤️
Wow ! Your own app 👏. Thanks..
Hoping for more development related content as well. Please continue and extend your amazing work.
Nice thumbnails
Thank you so much!
Thanks for review! Recently I'm following only your youtube channel on linux new stuff ;)
Welcome aboard!
Is out Gnome 47?
Wednesday 18 september.
how to uninstall evolve 1.4 beta tx
Use the uninstall.sh script provided with the latest release.
I can't see any major new features. Since Gnome 38 all new releases are more on tiny improvements over UI.
Real new features? None
04:00 Still no split panes. Files is a woft.
Nice video
Thanks!
No HDR support, no thanks.
Last good GNOME was v2.32.
You know hyprland is better….
Even Vaxry disagrees lol
Hyprland is not competing with Gnome, have some common sense

Nope. It's an alien language. I'm from Mars.

Sure sure. I'm working on that.
I had no problems understanding this and I only speak English. Get your ears checked out.
If you spoke English, we might be able to understand you.
His English is perfectly fine. It's not his fault you struggle to understand your own language.
What about his accent do you not understand??
He is actually pretty good at articulating words, 1000x better than the native speaker from The Linux Experiment
He’s racist, just ignore him. Your English is perfectly fine and I understand everything.
