- I still can't believe my eyes, this trailer really showed off just how magical this experience is going to be. 2025 cannot come fast enough. Hoping we get more details on this game soon in the form of trailers, interviews, or simple updates.

I usually don't preorder games but I'd be willing to for this game if it meant showing Falcom how serious we are in wanting these xD
I mean for myself I always preorder these games anyway since they are being released by NISA and those are typically in lower quantities
The remake looks amazing! I am glad I went and finished the sky games when I did. I am sure playing the remake with that extra context would be a special experience.

@@erihitsuki lmao Olivier for sure gonna be gold imo he is the best in sky trilogy almost never serious always messing around etc (like some expensive wine scenes)
The game I took a whim on cause I was bored and wanted to play a very lengthy story/character interaction heavy game on my PSP way back in 2011 is getting a remake and playing that will be magical for sure. Just like you Cyrus, I really hope it gets an English Dub too and gets a lot more promotion than it originally had. I mean, it's already at a good start by being on an English Nintendo Direct even if it was very short. Who knows, maybe it'll be on another English Nintendo Direct but much longer. That would be cool.
I can't wait to see the story scenes, characters, places, and just everything all over again with a shiny new coat of paint and updated too. I mean if what Estelle did was just the basic fire art then I can only imagine what the stronger ones will look like or even the S-Crafts too! Can't wait to relive in the Jenis part, Tournament part, and even ending all over again in these graphics. It's gonna be awesome.
Hearing all of that in English Dub will be peak too! Bryce voicing a more serious Gilbert? Count me in. That sounds like a good time to me lol
I can go on for hours talking about how excited I am! In particular, I'm looking forward to the updated soundtrack: somewhere along the way they must have outsourced a kick ass French horn section for a majority of titles, and that instrument is thoroughly missing in Daybreak.

really hope we get more louwe backstory and maybe even playable for some sections of the game to see behind the scenes of the society

I finished playing FC around March this year, so I am quite a new Trails fan, currently on Sky 3 (I take my time with my playthroughs xd), but even I am really hyped for this remake. I really hope that the release is not only on switch, since I don't have that console 😅

I wonder if there will be more cameos and references to the later games.
they did say they had stuff planned as far as references to future games go, as to the severity of them? Who knows xD could just be locations and people that didn't have proper names or titles got updated, or future characters get referenced or even shown. We'll have to wait and see.
@@Cyrus_Bright It will be interesting to see how they handle Weissmann in the remake. Just slightly changing the angle of his character portrait made him evil. xD
Yeah from the gameplay it looks like it's just turn based but you can move around the battlefield like in daybreak and it kind of feels like it's the sky orbment system (makes sense) because of the amount of arts but it's hard to tell from the tears in my eyes
It is a great time to be a Trails fan. I never thought a remake like this would happen, that Trails would get more than ports for new platforms but would be treated with the same hype and respect FF7 gets with a full remake. Is our series still an indie gem or can we start calling it a mainstream JRPG giant?
we'll have to see how impactful the Sky remake ends up being, but the series is still pretty niche all things considered

I've heard that the characters are going to be recast, which gives me mixed feelings.
At the very least, I hope that we get a proper English dub with the returning cast members (as of the most recent release).
I've only heard that some of the characters will be recast, for example Nial's VA passed away. I think Kevin's OG VA retired too, but that wouldn't be an issue for this game.
I thought 2023, with Azure and Reverie releasing in the same year, was going to be the best year of trails. Then, I thought 2024 with Daybreak releasing and my trip to Anime Expo where I met Kondo, was going to be the best year. Now, 2025 with Sky remake and Daybreak 2 looks awesome. We're going from peak to peak. I think Daybreak 2 will release in March of 2025, same general time that Azure released in 2023. I wonder if 2025 is going to the first year Falcom has two releases in a year: Sky remake and the heavily rumored new Tokyo Xandu game also coming out. I'd expect Sky remake to be a late 2025 release, probably September/October timeframe. There should be plenty of time between the release of Daybreak two and Sky remake.
Also I've been listening to many people's thoughts on this game's visuals and seeing the comments here as well. I think many of you guys underestimate the power of The Switch 😅
oh I know the Switch can run some pretty beefy games, I just remember how Xenoblade Chronicles 2 looked even when docked xD the Switch when utilized correctly can pull off some crazy magic

What will happen with the music:
1 They will remaster all of them.
2 They will add both EVO, and ORiginal as DLC to change.
That's the way I'm sure of it.
Nah I feel like the option to choose would be free in the game. Like it was for the ys games
I feel like it'll just be a base feature, dlc would be kinda weird. I guess they did add dlc music for Kuro 2 but that's a different system entirely.

The Remake does look beautiful and I love it already. It is just sadly missing the OG portrait sprites. Remember smug Estelle? Or annoyed Estelle? The OG games need to be preserved for that alone. I will buy the Remake though. It still looks amazing. I just think the OG portraits are too good to pass up.
Definitely running on switch, look at the shadows they are blurry and not sharp
It's a little ironic how FC was my least favorite game in the series thanks to the pacing, but the remake of it has me even more hyped than Kai. Daybreak 2 was a massive letdown for me, so maybe that plays a part in it, though.

jokes aside, it's technically a grey area that if the copyright holder wishes, they can still pursue for damages but the chances of it happening are so infinitesimally small the likelihood of it happening is pretty close to zero. But it's still a risk, the "it can't be longer than a few seconds" rule is strictly for TH-cam's automated detection system :p

as of right now other systems are TBD, it's not impossible that it's an exclusive but I have my doubts
