Dam & Blast. I admire your way of thinking through your Mr Fox troubles. We all need to eat. My understand B, both Fox parents feed their young. Remove Mr Fox one less food provider. Ekk. As B writing, Pine Martin. Jeepers. Rock & Hard Plate. Strange, after 2year all this Trouble. ❤
The hay was cut very late this year, I think they built confidence stalking here as they could hide so well. Now it's been cut we haven't had any issues. I'm also in the process of beefing up the pens though
@deervalleyhomestead Ah, Neat. Grand solutions B forthcoming. Happy your neighbours steeped up & cut sorounding grass. Interesting something as 'relatively simple' as apposed to vast amounts money, B of such factor to helping. Also, thank you for replying. Shall B following with Intetest. 🐔
So sad what is happening to your flocks. Do you think if you cut the grass on both sides of the fence it would help? That way the critters would not have a place to hide and travel. I would also get the gun out. If that fox is a female the litter will start to follow her to your place. We have problems with deer eating my garden. My husband is putting a,12 ft. high fence up. I hope that stops them. It is a lot of work going to waste if it does not work.
Thank you for your thoughts. I would love to cut the grass but I have so many neighbours on that side of the property it is just too complicated. Normally the farmer would have cut for hay around a month ago. 12ft fence should do the trick, I have an 8ft and have had no deer in the garden since.
