GameLeap I think including clips of these mistakes would be incredibly better than only showing people pop off. Demonstrating the mistakes ingame would make the tutorials so much better!
Instead of having to watch multiple videos of how to play genji, just read this and play, a lot. You’ll figure out your play style - learn what tanks you absolutely can *not* 1v1 (you shouldn’t really be focusing tanks unless it Dva and you’re trying to farm ugly) - mercy is extremely difficult to kill when there are *any* teammates around - when blading like he said track other ultimates that can counter you (sigma, lucio, zenyatta etc) - save a dash when fighting any squishy with movement abilities so you can chase them down - you don’t need to be too up close and personal when blading. If you’re too close it’s harder to hit them. - when engaging an Ana or Mcree depending on the rank and level you’ll want to learn *when* to deflect. - in my experience every mcree has a “stun style”. Some may throw it to the side, below you, above you, or even better straight at you. For example if they throw it above you, you’ll want to jump then deflect - do not go straight into the fight - save a dash so you can escape, but don’t be too passive - don’t *try* to make things happen. If you see an opportunity you’ll know and don’t hesitate - same thing especially with blades. Wait for your team to start pushing and engaging before blading so you’re not focused That’s all I can think of off the top of my head. Hope that’s helpful
I just did the no hesitation thing yesterday and killed 4 with blade, it wasn’t all but for me who doesn’t play genji it made me nut and buy his Kendoka skin
How to jebate grav as gengi: dash up into the air, melee and use the "Ryugekin" voiceline, if you have it deflect the grav. Have done this 3 times in game. Its funny every time.
Tbh I think most Genji’s in low ranks try to go for the achievement for the Genji spray so they don’t focus on just getting a few kills to win the fight
Quickly form I wouldn’t say he’s the worst but that he has a lot of counter and his kit can be incredibly situational and 1v1s and such can be really hard because of that
Dude I said it before but y’all are going off with the helpful videos! I’ll be taking a lil technology detox during the winter holidays, but you’ll catch me subscribing to GameLeap when I get back
0:49 then how can they learn and practice to get some value out of their blades if they have to stop playing him because they don't get any value out of it?
As a 4200 Genji player, I 100% believe he's not worth it in this meta, maybe keep him as a side character for certain maps, like gib or any dive/highground maps, but its just better to learn tracer, hanzo or mei rn. Also, my clip at 3:17 :D
Your tips are even good for a new genji like me. You helped out so much especially because my friend wouldn't let me play genji but I practice these tips and now I'm gold genji In just 6 days
I’m watching to know when to Nano my Genji because most Genji’s expect me to Nano first, which is understandable, but as someone who hasn’t never touched Genji aside from mystery hero’s, I have no idea when a Genji needs to blade, when he should, and the cool downs. My rank doesn’t have communication, so this is helpful.
Another tip is to not give up. I’m 300 hours in on genji and I hardly get 2 kills per blade, let it build over time. Genji is hard to play now so just keep doing ur best and hopefully the tards at blizzard will eventually buff him.
@@kroo6613 wtf he is still the worst hero ingame, the shuriken buff was literally nothing, it doesnt increases his dps, his consistancy or his kill potential. he is just too weak, or more precise everything else is too strong
Here’s a question for you…is there a playstyle of genji that is more like a bodyguard of the healers but can still pop off like crazy if and when needed because my play group absolutely hates splitting up unless absolutely necessary and I’m trying to be a better genji for them so they don’t have to be worrying about having to return to point from spawn like every 5 seconds.
Thanks for showing me these tips as a new overreach and Genji player hopefully this will give me a jumpstart lol i stream 3 days a week and trying to start a TH-cam channel great video once again
There was a team fight me and a team lost and it was just me and Ana left but I realized their tanks were pretty low and we killed the mercy and everyone else was pretty low and recently used there abilities so I asked for nano and got a 4K dragon blade
Thats pretty good in itself, think about it this way, if you kill three enemies and your team has 5-6 players still alive, the teamfight becomes a 6 v 3 which is really easy for your team to win, long story short no, 3 man blades are good
Well idk if u know how to play genji but he isn't only his ult. He can we very good at making space and kill the healers. His ult is just a faster way to get kills.
I havn't learned a lot from this video (cause of experience hehe) and I sadly don't have the age to buy a gameleap guide, but this video is definitly the best dragonblade guide on TH-cam :)
Honestly what always gets me is I go too fast and dont wait for the slash animation for damage. I always assume the damage has been done but it’s so slow
Please make a Reaper guide for the new patch because they reverted the armor changes 3 to 5 and I can’t kill Orisa very quickly and the tanks are really good now without shields. And Roadhog now can counter Reaper very easily because he con hook, move forward, primary fire and melee. So please make a Reaper guide for the new patch. Thanks.
Another tip: don’t feel embarrassed that you are watching this vid. I’ve been training for 5 months and still learn new things, yes even from this vid. Genji in particular is hard to learn. Patience is the most important tool to become a godlike genji! 🙏👍
Me i use my Dragon blade sombra all the way on the other side of the map She uses her teleport right infront of me Me: oh sh*t I wasted my Dragon blade
First thing, his ult is not very powerful. If u can master his normal abilities like weeb weapon, dashes and deflect, u can do more damage and more impact that dragon blade it self. Edit: there is a lot to say actually but Genji’s ult is not necessarily just to get that 6 man kill or POTG. In my opinion, it can be used to get rid of those healers(at least that’s what I’ve been doing) and that alone can turn the tide of the battle. Stop focusing to blade and get potg, focus to win the team fight. And try not to get FUCKING FLASHED BY MCREE OR STUNNED BY SOME BITCH WHEN BLADING FUCK SAKE IVE BEEN SHUT DOWN SO MANY TIMES
Since this video basically said use your eyes and don't suck, allow me to provide an actual tip for the one person who reads this comment. DON'T BLADE ALONE! Genji gets countered by every hero now so your main goal should just be applying pressure, baiting cooldowns/ults, and helping your team win the fight by forcing the enemies attention away from them
"hard for the enemy to heal through..." i dont think we play the same character sir. its so unbelievably easy to heal through blade especially in this new meta (also next time use pro genji players that are demonstrating a good way to use blade... not like random plats that dont do blades proper combos and entries)
Actually I think I know my problem. Every guid I watch tells me stuff I already know. But my problem isn't applying the knowledge or my mechanical skill because I can prove that I have both. My problem is I get nervous and self conscious.
And i can prove it too because I always seem to mess up when I play with friends. but when i play with people i'll probably never play with again i fell less tense and worried about what my team will thing
Fuck the counters. A true shinobi does not care about such. One does not bother keeping track of all those beneath you. Dragon blade the moment you get your ultimate.

Underrated comment

You sir are a God amongst men. Thank you.
I mean yeah I agree with this comment its just about how to use genji's blade though since its one of the most difficult ultimate in the game.
Beautiful. Thank you.
perfect length for a dps queue with genji
Lmao
Baumfall how’d you know I have been queuing forever and watching this video?
The video should be 11 minutes longer to be realistic
Lol fac
I know dat feel bro

Such a smart play, if only i had enough fingers to do all this

Do you have a clip? Because im still confused
I think they mean ryu-ichimonji strikes..? Idk
I like how this is essentially just coach mills' channel now

how do you play so good as genji ;-;

30% movement buff when blading, that is bull shit, then explain why a rein is faster when holding his shield up than genji using blade
cause you need to move and wasd/zqsd

wait what. Do you guys duo queue? Congrats btw
What is that bastion doing???? 10:33

This helped sooo much thanks!
How to get a Good blade? Get an Ana to nano you, sadly in the ones in my rank high gold, low plat they nano the rein

If you depend on your ana to get kills with your blade you should probably not play genji

People say he's op but they don't even play him 😂 he gets countered by everybody. And he's not that useful without a boost.
He just got a buff though?
@@kroo6613 that's not even a buff they just added a few more shurikens

Nice video, Thanks for this video!
Thank you so much for the tips a couple games after I got a 4 man thank you so much
I just started playing and I watched this vid and got a triple kill with the blade and play of the game this man is so helpful
"top tricks to get insane dragon blades" shows gold dragonblades
True the blades werent that great, not kills wise, mechanically wise
Do you upload the content you have on TH-cam also to GameLeap.com or is it recommended to check out both as some Vids are TH-cam exclusive?
I've watched many videos, yet to this day this always happens

thx for the tips. i got 4 kills with dragon blade without nano boost and i was super happy : )
Really helpful video, you addressed some good points😁
