Yes but is easier anyway, he is less agressive and takes more damage in this fight, that is only in the campaign tho, in the blood palace you can fight him as nero and he will be the same you have with dante
The fact that many people have so many different opinions of what the hardest boss was makes me very happy for this game. So many people play differently, unlock different movesets, etc. that many of the bosses can feel super easy, or super difficult. Like, how Demon King Urizen is RUSTY's most challenging boss... Mine was Malphas, because of that attack where the bird just kind of has a tantrum and jumps up and down.
James Spencer i played on the first difficulty and i don’t know if is easy or normal but feels like kid mode, never been killed or wasted half a life bar.
@@guidorussoheck2100 The first difficulty is supposed to be easy mode. It's mainly there for people who aren't really that great at video games. Devil Hunter mode is the true "normal" mode. Any fight with V goes from easiest to the hardest when in DMD mode. His familiars become stalemated in like 1-2 hits, and it doesn't help that V's mobility is drastically reduced and most of the best moves require charging
V also never grows as a fighter, so he suffers later due to never gaining extra skills. He's like the drake sword you get in Dark Souls after cutting off the bridge drake's tail. Really good for the early game, but poor later on.
I basically used for the first time and learned Royal Guard repeating the Vergil fight like 20 times. I also never used it in DMC 4... or DMC 3. Fuck that.
There's 3 ways to fight Vergil, the pussy way by spamming trickster dodges, the regular/good way which is royal guarding and the Sasaki way, chase the fuck out of Vergil and making dante look like the real threat
Fighting nightmare, griffon and shadow, is messed up when you realize that their power and abilities are based off of what you buy as V...so you can technically make it an easy fight
I would say that ''Demon King Urizen'' is actually easier than some fights... like... 90% of his attacks are ground based. It is Literally ... ''Floor is Lava''. Trickster up on him, Aerial smack him few times, Trickster away, ... repeat.
Mystokai it’s funny you say that cause that’s exactly what I did every time I saw him try to swing at me o teleported with trickster to him and away from him and I never really used tricker or royal guard before so after learning how to use them and see how useful they were for that fight it felt really good :)
Honestly for me, it depends on the character I’m playing, demon king final form was actually pretty easy to beat him as Dante, but nighoog as Vergil was difficult for me.
Vergil on SoS difficulty remains to this day the most frustrated I’ve ever gotten at a game. You get him down to 33% health and then he decides he’s tired of fighting fair and enables cheap cunt mode as any window you might have had to attack him is now completely gone
They actually give you a ton of free Devil Trigger meter for this fight the first time you encounter it. I don't know if I've seen anybody lose the 2nd fight with Vergil on their first playthough. Its almost an auto-win. Replaying on higher difficulties and its MUCH harder. They don't give you a ton of free devil meter and Vergil pulls out his full bag of tricks as soon as you take off the first 1/4 of his HP bar. Not as hard as dante's fight with Vergil but still tougher than a lot of the bosses in this list.
I think going in with Nero right after fighting Vergil with Dante helps too. You just learned Vergil's moves so you know what to do. That free meter helps, but I think I only DT'd twice because I didn't know it was automatically filling up until late in the fight.
I thought it was just me. That happened too the first play through unlimited DT and never died once. After that on Son of Sparta and higher up Vergil whipped my ass lol

U can find an opening to defeat king cerberus using melee attack or u can use sin devil trigger to attack him or if u have double kalina ann u can shoot him with gunslinger or normal shooting
Well, the idea of Dante mentioning V's familiars know they don't stand a chance is supposed to be an emotional one, if you pay attention to the cutscene at the beginning and after the battle. Those 3 wants to die because they are basically Vergil's despair, trauma and nightmare. If they stay, they'll get absorbed back to Vergil sooner or later. So getting Dante to kill them is the only way to liberate Vergil from his trauma.
Despite the ultimate attack that I've never actually seen; Artemis is a contender for my favorite boss in the game. The boss theme is one of my favorites, the arena is dope, the fight lets you tackle it however you want instead of forcing you into one playstyle, Artemis herself is based on the gun from DMC3 and her laser attacks are reminiscent of that gun, you get to see Lady naked after you win.... Even after being in the third phase, the tactic of staying in the air and keeping close to him still works unless he punches up. Building up Royal guard for this fight is also easy and helps a lot to whittle them down to nothing.
Although i will contend your final choice. That and King Cerberus Revolver jump cancelling completely wrecks any boss that doesn't have a 360° move that you can't air trick around.
Everyone: Lmao this game is so easy, but Vergil is gonna grind your ass into dust and make a necklace out of your gold orbs. Me: Why the hell are almost all these bosses kicking my ass, except for Vergil? Also, I did not use Nero’s D.T. in the second fight because he was THAT easy. I missed out on the amazing “fuck you” and it makes me extremely anti-happy.
The vergil fight with nero isn't the same as dante, vergil is less agressive and takes more damage, it is meant to illustrate that vergil is already fatigued from fighting dante ( which is clearly visible on the cutscenes) just face him as nero in the blood palace and he will be much harder, he will be scaled to dante must die, but even in this difficulty he is quite easier in the campaign, and i am quite sure there are some changes in the move set, slight ones tho
The Nero Vs Vergil fight was easier yet tense for me as I had been out of many blood orbs and Gold Orbs from fighting him as Dante so I had to sweat to beat him
Glad to know I wasn't the only one who loved the Cavalier Angelo fight. Oh my god, The entire thing made me feel like such a badass. Edit: Yes, I felt even more like a badass when I fought him as Vergil. I had just learned to time judgment cuts at that time and had earned a crap ton of orbs in the bloody palace. Going back to fight him as a maxed-out Vergil felt so awesome.
I actually had a really hard time with Goliath on the first playthrough, but didn't have that much trouble with Elder Geryon or Urizen's final form. Guess it's different for everybody
Urizen was the boss that finally made me learn royal guard. I played this guy almost perfectly but he'd always wipe my ass at the end and I could not figure it out. I must've spent an hour on this guy
To be fair it was pretty annoying that on one hand Capcom give you the chance with Play cool evil characters like nightmare, shadow and griffin in the early levels of the game, but then they take it away from you in the later part once you start playing as Dante again!
I found demon king Urizen to be quite easy, just use a combination of trickster + swordmaster to avoid his shit and chip away on his HP until you can DT, repeat a few times and you´re done
I don't get why so many people say Vergil fight is difficult. Basically you can use the same strategy as in DMC 3. Let him attack and attack him after he finishes his attack. If he turns into DT mode, just keep dodging. Be patient and keep cool (which is my credo when playing DMC), you can defeat him without any problem.
For me urizin was actually super easy and I think it’s because I mastered how to switch between styles super fast, and I basically went between trickster and swordmaster a whole bunch, occasionally gunslinger as well. But Vergil kicked my ass very bad.
IDK about DMD difficulty, but the first time I tried the game in Demon Hunter difficulty, I beat Demon King Urizen in a single try. With Vergil however, I had to revive a few times with one yellow orb and some red orbs
Remember the chicken monster was a immature version of we get a dmc6 with a new Nero storyline adventure and we see her sister or older version of her kind and we see what it could actually do and actually make you be like o damn now wonder the other one was that easy type of boss fight lol
I don't know if my difficulty bar is bullshit , given fromsoft games are (other than league or cs) one of my 1dt introductions to gaming , but the only boss that gave me any trouble was vergil. It was so fun , but he did nearly kill me. Maybe it's because this is my 1st hack and slash and I picked my 1st playthrough to be human , maybe it's just the easy mode , but it really wasn't difficult. Fun , but definitely not hard.
Try Vergil on son of sparda. He will be a pain in your ass worse than uber hemorrhoids. Teleporting around like a fucking anime villain, judgment cut of doom, fucking ball of slashes, devil trigger dive bombs, I'm surprised I beat it without having a damn aneurysm.
I like your the style of your script here. For an experienced DMC player, it's appropriately dismissive and degrading to these bosses. Who do these fools think they are, huh? Your flavor of comedy works pretty well too, surprisingly. I'm not sure how to describe it, but a good example is referring to Yamato as Urizen's "rock candy totem." Most attempts I've seen at these kinds of jokes just fall flat and it's really cringy, but somehow you pull it off. So good on ya for that. ^^
The Nero VS Vergil fight really wasn't that hard, got my ass handed to me the first time because i tried to figure out Neros Devil Trigger a bit too much, the second try i stomped Vergil into the ground
Honestly, you can litterally kill Calvilere, with ONLY Royalgaurd, it was satisfying, but also kind of eh, hell its an achivement to remove all your weapons and guns for the entire level

I'd say give it a few days or so. Vids like these don't tend to pick up traction immediately.
And if not, then RIP me. Lol
Mission 8 urizen is so hard to beat in 2nd phase. God that fight is insane
You got #1 wrong. It's Donguri but it's understandable as only the worthy can face him.
A better video than Demodcracy's boss list.
Comedy VS accuracy
Everyone: Lmao this game is so easy, but Vergil is gonna grind your ass into dust and make a necklace out of your gold orbs.
Me: Why the hell are almost all these bosses kicking my ass, except for Vergil?
Also, I did not use Nero’s D.T. in the second fight because he was THAT easy. I missed out on the amazing “fuck you” and it makes me extremely anti-happy.
Lol anti-happy
Lol, Vergil 1st phase is the easiest once you master Royal guard and swordmaster
@@Basedbrawler say what again? The fight becomes easy once you master absolutely everything about it?
Who would've thought.
Basedbrawler Every boss in this game is the easiest if you master the characters and dodging.
The Nero Vs Vergil fight was easier yet tense for me as I had been out of many blood orbs and Gold Orbs from fighting him as Dante so I had to sweat to beat him
i like how straight to the point you describe these monsters😀😀😀
Did this guy make a Shaolin Showdown reference at 9:21? Holy shit, I love you even more now!
Yes Shadow, Nightmare and Griffin was hard because I had no clue what I was supposed to do.
Urizen was the boss that finally made me learn royal guard. I played this guy almost perfectly but he'd always wipe my ass at the end and I could not figure it out. I must've spent an hour on this guy
Ah yes, vergils iconic attack: Budgement cut
Came across this watching videos about how it’s not just me that is getting destroyed in sekiro and it had me cracking up, def subbing.
To be fair it was pretty annoying that on one hand Capcom give you the chance with Play cool evil characters like nightmare, shadow and griffin in the early levels of the game, but then they take it away from you in the later part once you start playing as Dante again!
Cerberus was my first real boss in gaming, ever.
When you fight Vergil In New Game + Nero's Devil Trigger doesn't recharge.
I found demon king Urizen to be quite easy, just use a combination of trickster + swordmaster to avoid his shit and chip away on his HP until you can DT, repeat a few times and you´re done
Rusty's DMC5 bosses ranking Special Edition when?
Dude that sholin showdown refrance made my morning.
Idk how you're the odd man out when everyone in every TH-cam comment section I've seen said that the second vergil fight was pretty much a free win
Here's a question: Have you seen what Nidhogg does on Dante Must Die difficulty?
Geryon os even bitcher, starting to think the problam is with V...
@@רותםטמסות Idk, I've never had any problems as V.
@@infiniteshay8660 seem legit, maybe your problam nidhogg, I just can't seem to understand V more proggresive gamplay, he is a mystery for me
I don't get why so many people say Vergil fight is difficult. Basically you can use the same strategy as in DMC 3. Let him attack and attack him after he finishes his attack. If he turns into DT mode, just keep dodging. Be patient and keep cool (which is my credo when playing DMC), you can defeat him without any problem.
I thought final form Urizen was one of the easiest fights in the whole game. His middle form was a lot tougher.
For me urizin was actually super easy and I think it’s because I mastered how to switch between styles super fast, and I basically went between trickster and swordmaster a whole bunch, occasionally gunslinger as well. But Vergil kicked my ass very bad.
I havent laughed this hard in a while, and that xiao lin showdown reference got the sub for sure.
8:40
The reason why none of these bosses gave me trouble... -- shows clip of him having about 5% health - sure thing Rusty, keep on talking
L.p. l.p. loop
Good to know I wasn't the only one who hated the soccer kick attack of Urizen, that and the time stop sphere.
15:38 WHAT IS HAPPENING TO SHADOW'S NECK?!?! Is that normal?
Yes you can do that with V by pressing melee, melee pause melee
Try Vergil on son of sparda. He will be a pain in your ass worse than uber hemorrhoids. Teleporting around like a fucking anime villain, judgment cut of doom, fucking ball of slashes, devil trigger dive bombs, I'm surprised I beat it without having a damn aneurysm.
Vergil 1st fight is by far the hardest I died to him and artemis with aretemis I came back and beat het easy, but Vergil took the only revive I used.
15:03 boss fight. The only hard part about it was Shadow. Once you take him out, it becomes way easier.
8:38 almost dead and he say "Yeah he did'nt get me that much in trouble"
13:00 maybe I'm the odd man out here, but I found this boss incredibly easy, and I consistently finish it without taking damage.
same but go ahead and try it on DMD xD u will know the meaning of real damage anything below DMD and he will be easy
Dover Dove He’s still easy on DMD.
Honestly, you can litterally kill Calvilere, with ONLY Royalgaurd, it was satisfying, but also kind of eh, hell its an achivement to remove all your weapons and guns for the entire level
I'm SO addicted to this game It's gonna be my first platinum
