We should always raise an "Ebenezer" to what God has done for us, Joshua did when Israel entered the Promised Land, so did David and many others. We should do likewise, so we can see what God has done and keep encouraging ourselves in God.

Ok, so I may or may not have internet stalked your church a bit so I could see it, and 1. Awesome job! 2. You explained what an ebenezer was before singing it which is awesome! I often use that as an example of "know what you are singing" when I teach worship leading, so 2 gold stars my friend, 2 gold stars.

Come Thou Fount has had many revisions, if you’d like to learn more this has great info: www.hymnologyarchive.com/come-thou-fount . I cannot find much info on when or why wondrous was added, so I have no reason to think it was anymore a theological change than a musical or contextual one. If you have more info on the change I love to see it.
