the reasons for that are: 1) Dooku is getting older and Skywalker is in the middle of his prime, and 2) Dooku builds up the hatred in Skywalker (which as we see is what gives him power
Jeathor Dooku is actually older than Sidous weirdly, but Yoda yeah ok sure. I guess Dooku and Palpatine are both human, but Palps is much stronger as a sith and is younger. By return of the jedi, Palpatine is about the same age as Dooku here and you can see he is far weaker, at least physically. So I guess it does play into it slightly.
“Darth Vader is only interested in Luke’s friends as bait. Maybe we can create a situation where they become friends, with Han and Leia and Vader all sitting down to dinner together-the evil Count having dinner with his enemies. In one scene, the gambler invites them to dinner and they come into the room and there is Vader. " -- George Lucas, The Empire Strikes Back story conference, 1977
I just love everything about this scene. Palpatine subtly building Anakin's distrust with the Jedi, Anakin just shrugging off a hit from an electrostaff as if it were a mere annoyance, Palpatine's little smirk when Anakin basically says he's going to murder Dooku. It's all just so perfect!
I noticed all these things too. I could tell that Palpatine wanted to see Anakin kill Dooku to move him farther down the path of the Dark Side. As for Palpatine subtly building Anakin's distrust of the Jedi, it was partly their own fault and they made Palpatine's job much easier with their idiocy and not bringing Anakin up to speed with their more secretive plans.
Matthew Cioffi as you can see in the clone wars the jedi lied to anakin about obi wan's death not letting him be part of the plan. Next we have the jedi using his personal relationship with palpatine to spy on him. The great thing about palpatine's plan everything he said there is truth to it the jedi made anakin distrust them Sidious only said what was happening in front of him
Another thing not talked about much is how often Palpatine tries to involve padme in his conversations usually which is ultimately another key part to becoming vader
Upon seeing Palpaine's face as Anakin fought Dooku, anger driving him, I realized that every fight between Anakin and Dooku was to build up Anakin's anger, a path towards the Dark Side, as he made his way to becoming Darth Vader. Then I reaized that the entire Clone Wars was Anakin's training to becoming a Sith, hence why he turned so quickly in Episode III, because throughout the war he was getting a small taste of the Dark Side trough the chaos and suffering he experienced and anger that built up inside him for the one who seemingly masterminded it, Dooku. Thank goodnes for The Clone Wars, it really ties things together.
+Samuel Bedsole What's just as great is that this series showed us the true Anakin: proud, but noble, brave, and determined. But with all the things he experiences, up to and including his relationships with Obi-Wan and Padme gradually straining, and Ashoka leaving, it's no wonder he's so emotionally broken by Episode III. Being the most powerful person in the entire Galaxy is not enough sometimes.
The Magnaguards wouldn’t recognize him as the leader of the Seppies. He only ever had his hood on when he was dealing with them, and Dooku is ultimately their undisputed master.
That would be a risk of exposing himself on the field, not to mention if anyone captured and looked at the droid's programming. Instead he could probably use disable droid to make sure it "malfunctions" at a convenient time.
Like father like son. I'm sure Form V Djem So was in part inspired by Luke's fighting style from Episode VI, even though in perspective this is before that. It's a clever reference and kinda like George Lucas says "Star Wars is like poetry, it rhymes".... Seems poetic that Anakin and Luke would develop similar styles.
+Max Acree Also Luke got a great deal of his skill from observing Vader during their duel on Bespin, adding what he learned of Djem so from him, and adding it to the Soresu he learned from Kenobi, and the Ataru he learned from Yoda.
Jdude Gaming Inc. Same with Kylo Ren in the force awakens when he was dueling Ray. You remember the behind twirl move that Anakin signatured in revenge of the Sith.
Filoni said that this was Palpatine first REAL attempt to turn Anakin to the dark side. This arc was all about Anakin. It didn't work, but oh well, he will try again.
I mean In Other Arcs Anakin Would Show Up To Palpatines Office for advice and what not and as soon as anakin would leave he would do that evil smile he does >:)
Great parallel to when Anakin's turn starts in the 3rd movie too. Fake plot to kidnap the Chancellor, trapped by Count Dooku and magna guards, Anakin defeats Dooku and the turn starts. If Dooky hadn't barely escaped with his life it would've begun right then and there.
Thats what i like about clone wars it just gives the characters so much more depth without clone wars i can totally understand that from SW 2 to SW 3 the plot seems pretty rushed and kinda stupid how fast Anakin turns.
@@N4t0r which isn’t helped by the fact that we barely know Anakin in the films. He’s a child in TPM, a teenager in AOtC and a war veteran in ROtS. That’s way too many time jumps to get to know a character. If he had been a teenager in TPM, we might’ve gotten a bit more characterisation beyond “He’s a child genius.”
He's like "That's cute. I have been electrocuted so many times already, you're gonna have to do better than that. Now, PERISH." The bitchface he gives those droids is absolutely priceless.
@@magiv4205 Lol especially since most people get laid out by electrostaff hits. There is a comic between ANH and ESB where Luke loses to an old magnsguard in a duel. That goes to show how good the Jedi really were in the Prequels
+Leviathan believe or not, there are people who only knew of Star Wars through this show when it aired on Cartoon Network. Not everyone saw the movies before this was made.
@@CaptainRex96 I am probably a bit too late (and by that I mean 5 years) , they already showed it without the glove. It was in attack of the clones , when he held padme’s hands
He almost didn't have to wait that long, Anakin almost broke his neck in this fight. I love it he went. "You are a worthy adversary Kenobi I cannot say the same about your apprentice..." someone is mad that he had a hard time taking down the "unworthy" apprentice.
AdeptKing he was using psychological warfare, it’s how he would always get in anakins head and best him throughout the clone wars until he got too powerful in Ep. 3
Oh my LMAO that means Order 66 will start quik obi wan will not be there while Cody tryna kill him And other Jedi will be in corasaunt defending the temple from 1000s of clones and their battalions would've been epic clone battle in all of star wars if that happen
Anakin is a freaking TANK of a man! look at all the stuff he just brushes off! shocked with magna sticks, getting hit with giant chairs, catching a FRICKING DROID FIST, and getting back up from force lighting when it would have put most others in comas or least knocked out.
Jedi in general are tougher than ordinary beings, as they are able to survive multiple blasts of Force Lightning while non-Force users get killed rather quickly (such as in Yoda's dream where Captain Rex and his squad get shocked to death by Count Dooku). But Anakin, he's even tougher than the other Jedi.
That's what I love about the struggle of the dark side consuming Anakin inside during all this leading up to Ep III...His hate and anger really does fuel him under the title as a "Jedi" but clearly he's using Sith traits to become stronger and over power his enemies on the battle field.
That moment you realise Dooku was doing everything he could to keep Anakin back - force pushing, telekinetically throwing objects at him, force lightning - and all Anakin did was use his lightsaber and bare hands. And remember, Dooku is one of the best lightsaber duellists alive at this point, yet he can barely repel Skywalker here. And people still think Rey could take on Anakin in a duel.
That's one thing that I really appreciate about this version of Anakin whenever he loses you can tell that he trains like a mad man to overcome whatever weakness he had hell same with a lot of these Guys even Dooku does.
@Shayan I feel like he was just always willing to gamble on whoever out did the other would be the superior one and therefore take the place by his side..but yea after Dooku was defeated he put all his eggs in one basket basically tho lol
I was confused by Dooku's actions with the force pushes and objects thrown..Why wasn't he just more violently aggressive with maneuvers that could fatally wound him or stop Anakin? It's like he was just delaying it..Also buying Obi Wan time even to aid Anakin haha
@Shayan ah that’s interesting , and yea Palps def tried dropping persuasions on Anakin more than once over time which makes sense too why he seemed to favor him..Dooku being a temporary replacement makes the most sense to me..in terms of Palp’s “arrangement”..a means to an end. I actually just finished this ep a little bit ago and love that line Dooku says to Obi Wan as Anakin was standing there having just fought him literally. Basically egging on his anger and fueling the conflict with the dark side in him.
@Shayan Crisis on Naboo yea, Im watching Massacre right now(the grievous/dooku battle on Darothir(?) against the witch bitches basically the following ep..I almost feel that line to Obi Wan was empty kinda tho lol Obi Wan was barely there and just showed up at the ver end. He just used him to anger Anaking even easier and potentially build that wedge between them with other aspects that make it worst for them as it goes on. Oh yea dude btw..Theres a scene in the ep when Savage is born/created...Dooku literally says to him "With my help you can become powerful enough and you and I can defeat Palpatine and rule together.." or something along that but yea that was def said.
Hmm Chancellor Palpatine seems like he has something to hide, likes to see people try to kill each other in anger-fueled ways, and does seem to have a similar voice and chin as Darth Sidious... One can only wonder.
2:37 I love How Dooku looked at Palpatine for a short moment like He is expecting him to do something, Dooku believed that He was too important to be killed so He thought Palpatine would help him to ensure his survival But Palpatine did NOTHING
I'm sorry but you are completely stupid, Dooku did not wait for Palpatine's help but looked at him with the meaning that Skywalker was close to the dark side, Palpatine should not have revealed himself to arrange order 66 and both Dooku and Palpatine knew this
@@plsdontbeahero Palpatine had his eyes on the Chosen One since the very beginning. He knew that if he managed to turn Anakin to the dark side he would surpass any Sith Lord ever- even himself- Maul, Dooku, the War, everything was part of his game to win the ultimate apprentice, to take the Chosen One- the hero of the Republic- and corrupt him into the most terrifying Sith Lord in history.
What I like best about this fight is you can clearly see the transition of power since they first fought in Episode II. Anakin lost to Dooku, then kept losing to him throughout the Clone Wars, but you notice him getting better every time while Dooku kept underestimating him, and that's where he eventually slipped up. 2:33 really foreshadows it.
+TheMSupreme Actually he never really lost to Dooku in the Clone Wars, when it comes to traps yes because Anakin was ordered to. However, if you look at the battle between them in the Clone Wars movie, you see Anakin give him more trouble then he did in Attack of the Clones. Actually Anakin gave Dooku a little trouble in that movie before Dooku caught his footing again. Frankly this is the third time alone from what I remember, someone correct me if I wrong, that Anakin fought him 1v1. The last time was on Naboo, but Dooku got magnaguards to help him. The fight from the movie, that I stated above, Anakin left to rescue Ashoke, who was protecting Jabba's son, so in both those instances, Anakin was handicapped. This episode really showed that Anakin was surpassing him and has been since the battle in Attack of the Clones.
+Zero_OR 5 they do a lot of hints in other sources that dooku is training skywalker as part of his masters plan so he is allways drawing or slightly beating him letting skywalker think if only i was a bit stronger rather then showing his full power and killing him or discouraging him
That's the problem. Every time Anakin loses, he gleams some new knowledge on how to defeat Count Dooku. It's like how the generals who lost to Napoleon learned more about his tactics by losing to him, so when a later war erupted against the self-proclaimed Emperor, he lost because the enemy generals were well-educated about his tactics.
0:45 I love how Anakin just tanks the magna-guard's hit like it was nothing. The clone wars really show how physically intimidating he is, which is something we eventually see as one of the greatest traits of Darth Vader.
@@trissplayground5013 It's relatively easy and it is a guaranteer of fear from the affected person. Nothing quite like invisible hands that you can't stop clenching your wind pipes to get someone terrified and tearing at their own throat, huh? :D
I love how Palpatine is enjoying the duel, just like he enjoyed watching Luke and Vader's duel in ROTJ. He knows that even if his current apprentice dies, it's still a win for him because it means he'll be able to readily replace him. It worked brilliantly with Anakin; unfortunately for him, it failed with Luke.
Palatine got too greedy with luke , he should've realized that Luke would be way harder to convert since he wasn't groomed for a decade contrary to anakin .
@@stormbringer2840 He also didn't realize that Luke's connection to his loved ones was what kept him from the dark side, not the other way around like Anakin.
Like bro their lightsabers didn’t collide this whole episode how can you say he is a worthy adversary 😂 and Anakin had the upper hand this whole fight, you are literally fleeing in an airship because of him
I think there's another meaning to this, as in Dooku saying that Anakin's fighting style shows the dark side in him and his inability to control his emotions I could be wrong
Palpatine certainly wouldn't have minded. But of corse Dooku cheats with manga guards and saves himself with the force lightning and runs, the three things Dooku is best at
@@StarWarsOpinion I don’t think so. Cuz remember, Dooku was completely unaware that Anakin was going to replace him. So if Palpatine would have told him to antagonize him, I feel like Dooku would have gotten SUPER suspicious and eventually figured things out.
When the forks went into Anakin's robot arm and he pulls them out, it reminds him of when Dooku cut it off, which elevates his anger even more. The attention to detail in this fight is brilliant!
3:20 I wonder if Palpatine made Dooku say this, making him another adversary that compliments Obi Wan and disrespects Anakin, pushing him to become better and win at all costs.
1:13 I thought they could fight without their heads. 1:20 Badass. It actually is a valid strength feat since he was using his shoulders and chest. 1:24 Reference to Anakin's moves from the ROTS video game. 2:04 His fingers are dangerously close to the emitter. 2:35 lol 2:29 How you like the arm you gave me bitch? 2:50 Gets right back up. 3:29 Epic way to leave a fight.
AtticWarrior1994 Stopping a punch from a Magnaguard doesn't require the user to be a D'jem So practitioner. Obi-Wan Kenobi actually stopped a dragon snake from closing its jaws on him when he's a Soresu specialist. So no, it doesn't require a D'jem So user to be strong. Anakin is pretty strong. First of all theres the bedroom scene in ROTS. Second of all, he constantly overpowers opponents. I would recommend reading a respect thread for him. D'jem So also requires the user to be strong. It was the reason why Darth Zannah was given advice on not using the Form.
Junior Binda In the ROTS novelization Kenobi catches Grievous's arm and bends it. While catching a punch is different, it doesn't change the fact that he was strong enough to push back. It's from the elbow down. Its like if you did a push up. It doesn't matter if your forearm was cybernetic or not.
Well... My master likes to fight with one hand... I told him that if he would fight with 2 we would destroy everyone he said that... Nah i like to look badass single handly beating someone
If one pays attention to their fight in Episode 2 and here, you'll notice that roles have reversed. In their first duel, Anakin had to rely on his Force Abilities to match Dooku's speed and precision whereas here its Dooku relying on HIS Force Abilities in order to match Anakin's strength and relentlessness. He was becoming more and more skilled and powerful as time went on.
In Clone Wars he gets electrocuted many times, so gets used to it by now. In last season he literally isn;t bothered by electrocuts from Threnh he kills him while
I've been really obsessed with this duel lately. The environment is beautiful, the choreography is great, and the parallels to their duel in RotS and Vader and Luke's duel in RotJ is amazing. I really enjoyed the dark side on Anakin in this fight, seeing Dooku really struggle with him and Palpatine just enjoying the show. Dooku, more than we ever really see, has to rely on his Force abilities in this fight to keep Anakin off him. This leads to some really cool and tense moments. It's also interesting that this was a first attempt at Anakin replacing Dooku and rescuing the Chancellor. Now, yeah, it's not as good as other duels like Darth Maul vs Pre Vizsla, Darth Maul and Savage Opress vs Darth Sidious, and Ahsoka Tano vs Darth Maul, but it's really close to those levels of badassery. This fight also gave us a brief moment of Anakin struggling against a Magna Guard, which I thought was cool.
@@grievous8475 I don't think so. Maul is a great character, but in all of his fights in The Clone Wars he shows a clear disadvantage (except with Vizsla). And hey, we're talking about Anakin Skywalker's apprentice.
Anakin actually is an easy opponent for him. The second time he dueled him and Obi-Wan, he tore them apart! Dooku should have massacred Anakin in Episode 3, but Sidious wants him alive.
He doesn't, he's just teasing him. If you actually watch his facial expressions during the fight, you can see he's actually worried about being beaten, just look at his face at 2:17 he's literally like "phew, he nearly killed me"
Imagine if around 2:35 ish or so, this happened. Anakin knocks Dooku's lightsaber away before slashing off the counts arm. Dooku gasps in pain and stumbles back. The two Magnagaurds try to attack Skywalker but the Jedi quickly finishes them off. Palpatine: Good, Anakin, good! Now, kill him. Dooku looks at Palpatine in shock. Palpatine: Kill him now! Anakin hesitates and shakes his head. Anakin: I can't. He shouldn't be executed. Palpatine: Nonsense, Anakin, he is dangerous! We can't take him alive! He needs to be killed here and now! Dooku: Skywalker, don't listen to him. He's manipulating you! Palpatine: Anakin, I am telling you. Kill him. Anakin grabs the Count by the collar and throws him down the stairs. Dooku tries to get up as Anakin raises the blade, still uncertain. Obi Wan rushes in and sees what is about to happen. Obi Wan: Anakin, stop! Anakin lowers his blade and looks at his Master. Palpatine scowls. Palpatine: What are you doing? I said finish him. He is a war criminal! Obi Wan: We need him alive! He knows Sith secrets. Anakin: I won't kill him. I am a Jedi, and I always will be. Palpatine: Your sympathizing with the enemy! Obi Wan: Chancellor, we have him captured. There is no need to kill him. Palpatine: You will execute him, now! Obi Wan: Not yet. Anakin stands by his master and Dooku rises to his feet when he sees Palpatine scowl menacingly. The Chancellor pulls out two objects. Palpatine: Its treason then. Darth Sidious ignites his lightsabers and charges at his enemies, who are stunned and horrified. Fight commences between Palpatine, the Jedi and the former Sith Lord.
Palpatine would have given up after "I won't kill him. I am a Jedi, and I always will be." Then again, I think Anakin would have reluctantly agreed to kill him just like in RotS.
"Fighting off the *entire* Jedi security force would have been difficult," I love how he doesn't say he couldn't do it, it would just take a lot more effort than he wants to expend. Best duelist of the age, everyone👏👏👏
This is what I loved about Anakin he didn't just use the force and his lightsaber he used whatever he could get to his advantage even choking Dooku you really see the Sith side in him.
Emotions can drive Anakin to the dark and as he and Dooku continued to fight, for instance after Dooku resisted the chair, Anakin striked first after the Count recovered his stance from the attack
Man, you can really tell Anakin was starting to surpass Dooku. Next time they would have fought, Anakin would have killed Dooku for sure. Oooohhh, wait... Edit: A one on one duel anyway. Forgot about the one in season 6. Also at 2:17 I love how Dooku was having to catch his breath. I think even he realizes by now Anakin is no longer easy pickings for him.
Dooku is a master of the force but he's still becoming an old man whereas Anakin is a young man in like his twenties and the Chosen One. You can really tell Dooku was getting tired but Anakin just kept going after him even more pissed off than before. The fight they had on Naboo in one of the past seasons you literally see Dooku is very exhausted after capturing Anakin since he refused to stay down. Only inconsistency is in season 6 where Anakin and Obi Wan were fighting him and Dooku was pushing them back. Like they were ignoring that Anakin alone could push Dooku.
@@AdeptKing ok so the only time anakin is strong enough to beat dooku is when he gives in to his rage. in the novels its very explicitly stated that anakin's combat abilities were always hindered by his fear of letting himself getting washed away in his feelings. in ROTS when palpatine tells him "dont be afraid of your anger, use it" he absolutely demolishes dooku to the point where he couldnt even defend properly, let alone counter.
@@AdeptKing Anakin and Obi Wan seem to hinder each other when fighting together. This is shown multiple times throughout the series, including in season 1.
0:54 I love that snide smirk Palpatine has. He knows Anakin wants to kill Dooku even though he shouldn't. He knows Anakin is one step closer to Vader. And the dark side. 2:17 I like how Dooku has to catch his breath. Defeating Anakin is not as easy as he thought.
Anakin and Palpatine: Enter the room Dooku (stands at the head of the table): "Welcome!" Anakin (thinking): Touche. I'm gonna steal that move in a couple decades
“I cannot say the same about your young apprentice” Buddy, Anakin nearly stabbed you through a chair and you were on the floor struggling while he was about to choke you to death you have no right to talk
Larry-three They had many ideas including the Battle of Utapau and the giant kyber crystal (spelling correct?) mini arc in which it was used to power the future Death Star, and more. The show only had a little more to go, as it reached the episode 3 era. It was a shame to cancel it when it was so close to the end.
TheFruityKing The time it takes to hyperspace to a new world, dig in, fight to the next object, load up and ready for the next objective means they would cutting it really really really really really close. I would be open to another season if it was established that some battles were taking place simultaneously during other battles and characters did not get any sleep. That would be a clever way to sneak in a little extra time. Remember that the show does not even show the first few months of the war. In fact, when the show begins, Anakin had already reached the level of Jedi Knight; and some seasons had multi-episode arch, too.
Larry-three I really don't know what you're implying here. Multiple battles were already taking place simultaneously. Don't know what you mean by that. Are you saying that you want every single battle included in the Clone Wars? Do you even know what the show is about?
Love how Anakin and Palpy are chillin together talking about how the Jedi suck, only for Dooku to appear and pull a Vader on them both. The amount of references and foreshadowing in this scene is outrageous
This entire scene is fucking awesome, but for some reason, I'm absolutely in LOVE with the move at 1:13. There's so much physical strength behind it, yet it's so incredibly fluent and effortless, and the way he stands so straight and lets his arms fall lazily to the side afterwards and then kicks the magnaguard over like the mild annoyance it is is just *chef's kiss*. God, the fighting animations in this series are absolutely spectacular.
2:35 I see where Luke gets it from. 😏 Also, I love the emphasis on Anakin’s metal prosthetic in this fight. Signifying Anakin’s rage and one of his many reasons for hating Dooku.
The funniest part about this scene for me was when Darth Sidious goes like "unhand me! " to the magma guard , he could have literally killed everyone in that room by just using the force lol, Sun Tzu lesson 1.1 -> when you're weak appear strong and when you're strong appear weak , truly the best villain in all cinematic history..
Remember how Episode II tried to hint that Dooku was only trying to betray Sidius eventually? And how that didn't go nowhere by episode III? They didn't go that route here either right?
+phenompy For the apprentice to betray the master is typical Sith behavior. Dooku had Asajj Ventress as his apprentice, but Sidious discovered her powers growing stronger so he ordered her execution. So, Count Dooku secretly recruited Savage Oppress who he'd obviously train to help defeat Sidious by his side. Unfortunately for the count, that didn't go so well.
Vader integrated so much of Dooku’s persona into his identity as a Sith. The one-handed fighting style, the duelistic pose, the sarcastic exaggeration of formality, the preference to bait his opponent into launching the first strike.
2:16 - 2:19 is what this entire 3-minute scene is about. Anakin looks up and he's determined, focused, ready for more. Dooku is winded, uncertain, and tired. It's closer than it should be. Anakin isn't quite powerful enough to surpass Dooku in this moment, but just from one exchanged glance we can tell that Dooku is at his limit and Anakin is just getting started.
Has anyone noticed that as the series progressed, each time Anakin and Dooku fought, Anakin grew closer to killing him?
Sean 7567 Dooku was a piece of shit here "defeating you alone will be an easy task" and almost looses.
the reasons for that are: 1) Dooku is getting older and Skywalker is in the middle of his prime, and 2) Dooku builds up the hatred in Skywalker (which as we see is what gives him power

Ben Do I'm not sure about that. He certainly is powerful though.
But he must've known about Obi Wan's plan in order to carry out his own, which he couldn't possibly, because only Mace and Yoda know about it
Thats what i like about clone wars it just gives the characters so much more depth without clone wars i can totally understand that from SW 2 to SW 3 the plot seems pretty rushed and kinda stupid how fast Anakin turns.
@@N4t0r which isn’t helped by the fact that we barely know Anakin in the films. He’s a child in TPM, a teenager in AOtC and a war veteran in ROtS.
@@ReonMagnum This dude got shocked more times than anyone else no wonder why it didnt affect him anymore

Count Dooku was so desperate that he tried to stall him with silverware and plates

@@zippyparakeet1074 and Obi Wan screwed that up
What I like best about this fight is you can clearly see the transition of power since they first fought in Episode II.

+TheNuisanceBird Anakin's style empathized physical strength, I can't imagine him not being stronger than average people by a large degree.
+TheNuisanceBird He has a cybernetic arm iirc, so stopping that punch wasn't that big of a deal.
+TheNuisanceBird One thing I'd like to add.

In their first duel, Anakin had to rely on his Force Abilities to match Dooku's speed and precision whereas here its Dooku relying on HIS Force Abilities in order to match Anakin's strength and relentlessness.
Imo I didn’t like Maul vs Ahsoka cuz Maul should have mopped her in a fight despite holding back. I prefer this one
@@grievous8475 I don't think so. Maul is a great character, but in all of his fights in The Clone Wars he shows a clear disadvantage (except with Vizsla). And hey, we're talking about Anakin Skywalker's apprentice.

I love how palpatine was smiling when Anakin was choking Dooku. It shows he was really waiting for Anakin's dark side
1:21 That droid's like, "Wait, WUT?"
I like how the Magnaguard is just watching in disbelief as his boss is on the verge of being murdered not even 3 feet away
"Defeating you alone will be an easy task."
Sure... cut to 2:33
0:47 Anakin fuckin took that hit and looked at the magna guard like it just royally fucked up.
Anakin and Palpatine: Enter the room
Dooku (stands at the head of the table): "Welcome!"
Anakin (thinking): Touche. I'm gonna steal that move in a couple decades
“I cannot say the same about your young apprentice”
Buddy, Anakin nearly stabbed you through a chair and you were on the floor struggling while he was about to choke you to death you have no right to talk
Dooku should've said, " We would be honoured if you would join us".
That would've been perfect, learning the lines of what a lord would say when meeting at a dinning room
The Clone Wars should have never been cancelled. Just saying.
TrueNorth Productions The Clone Wars only lasted three years. How many more battles and campaigns could honestly happen in 36 months?
TrueNorth Productions #CloneWarsSaved
Love how Anakin and Palpy are chillin together talking about how the Jedi suck, only for Dooku to appear and pull a Vader on them both. The amount of references and foreshadowing in this scene is outrageous
The sound effect at 1:45 omg
Love how Dooku glances over to his master as Anakin has him on his back like he's wondering when Sidious will step in to save him
This entire scene is fucking awesome, but for some reason, I'm absolutely in LOVE with the move at 1:13.
I love how Sidious shows that little smirk because he knows he's winning either way
2:35 I see where Luke gets it from. 😏
Also, I love the emphasis on Anakin’s metal prosthetic in this fight. Signifying Anakin’s rage and one of his many reasons for hating Dooku.
2:38 Dooku’s subtle look at Palpatine bc Anakin’s making him look bad in front of his boss
When Anakin could finally beat Dooku one on one thats when he was ready to become the next Sith apprentice. He wouldnt be ready until ROTS.
He pretty much had him here, Dooku just spams lightning.
This must be the time when Sidious realize that Anakin is the most ideal apprentice he is been looking for his entire life
2:15 - Count Dooku catching his breath. Man ain't young anymore and can feel it unlike the mad and rejuvenated Anakin
I love how dooku gets embarrassed when Anakin starts beating him so he looks at sidious then quickly goes full power mode on anakin 2:37
2:35 gotta love the signature skywalker beat down technique
Gotta love Palpatine just standing back and enjoying the sight of Anakin cutting loose on Dooku
i just love the clone wars series
dave did a wonderful job in potraying anakin , obi wan dooku and stuff ....
so much depth !!!!
1:20 the voice from the magna guard and the way it looks at it's fist and then back at anakin, it's confused as hell at what's happening.
LOOOL at 1:22 it sounded like the Magnaguard said "What the heck?" when Anakin caught his hand. Goes to show how savage the clone wars made Anakin
I like how dooku just trolls anakin when he says obi wan is a worthy advisery, when obi wan didnt do anything, no wonder anakin cut his head off
The funniest part about this scene for me was when Darth Sidious goes like "unhand me!
Vader tried to kill Sidious too
Vader integrated so much of Dooku’s persona into his identity as a Sith.
