I had this belt clip and it sat in a draw for 2+ years because it was useless to me. After this modification I never leave home without it. GREAT MOD. Thanks
They can be found on eBay on occasion and some of the knife web sights as well. Just do a search for Victorinox Key Holder and you should find one with no problems. Cheers!
Hey great video. I just ordered 1 of these and have not yet recieved it but I was wondering if you thought it were possible to use this to clip onto your pants without using a belt. Just buy opening the clip sliding it over the top part of your pants by your pocket and then closing it. Would that work? Also, if taken care of well how long do you think the clip would last without malfunctioning? A lifetime? Have your keys ever come out unintentionally or are they in the really good?
hey , thx for making this video specially for me , it helped me allot with understanding how u did it , just fantastic !! great thx and happy newyear !!
@Ram2253spd Heya Ram!! Happy New Year Buddy! That knife came in third place in a survival test. Second was the Gerber Suspension and First place went to the SOG PowerLock. I've got the Swiss Champion and Gerber Suspension. Paid less than $60.00 for both where the SOG runs $110.00 retail. Doesn't bother me to have #2 and 3 at all...lol. Cheers my Friend!!
@GunWebsites They are no longer in production, so jumping on one now is your best bet. I love mine...It sure beats the "S" Biner or Carbiner on the belt loop! I've caught the clip one time in the year or so I've owned it and that was on the gate to my back yard...It stopped me in my tracks and did no damage to the clip at all. If that would have been a cheapo china made hunk of metal, I would have been picking up pieces and keys.
No problem on the long comment. All are welcome. I have never accidentally opened the belt clip and misplaced my keys. I would imagine the clip would be nearly as secure on the waist band of your pants as it is on a belt. The only thing I foresee being a problem would be that the clip wouldn't be able to move out of the way with a glancing blow and may open. But, if you tuck your keys into the top of your pocket while on the clip, I think you would be all set. Continued...
Sorry about the long comment. But, also do you worry about your keys ever accidentally falling off this thing? Lets say you were in a situation where you were going to sit down and your keys were pushed up by an arm rest or something like that, do you think they would unhook? Surprisingly I couldn't find any other videos on this clip that were as informative as yours. Thanks.
@firearms1894 You bet.......if you happen to have one of these with out the Mod, you know how big a pain it is to get your keys on and off. Thanks for the comment!!
To give you a real time update, I still use this very same key ring belt clip and it's been flawless other than loosing its applied emblem just recently. I still have a second one that I purchased in the event that I wore this one out...but after 9 years of ownership, I will probably be old and gray by the time that it finally does wear out. Cheers Greg! Zip~
Continuation....As for durability, it doesn't get any tougher. I'm very confident it will last a lifetime and no special care is needed. As with any Victorinox product, it's built for keeps. Hope this helps!
@mbyr31 Hmm....I've got the Champ...HUGE knife with like 33 functions...the one in the vid. I can't say as I've heard of the multi tool!! I'd love to see a vid of it....oh, and if I didn't already send my congrats.....Congrats on making Partnership!!

Sir, your information presented was very helpful to me.
Thank you Sir, for your time in producing this video.
Oscar
I posted this video many years ago Oscar and am still using the same Key holder without a single key lost. Cheers! Zip~
Hey, thanks man, i was really angry to be forced to use an extra keyring. I just did this and it works really good.
I'd be lost without my hey holder. I've got a spare in case I ever (God Forbid) loose my primary one. The best key keeper in my opinion!
Good video. That knife looks like it comes with everything but a kitchen sink.
I have never used one of those.. now I'm thinking about it
thanks for posting the vid
Very fine craftsmanship, Swiss typical!

@mbyr31 Thanks Matt...With it being a Victorinox, it was a no brainer buy, but we all like to tweak our stuff to make it ours!! lol
