Well Ive listened to arguably every Tarantino interview accessible online and this is easily one of the best. You could really hear him get more excited as the interview went on and he was thinking "Wow. These boys know their shit." SO nice to hear questions that dive in and go beyond the mundane. Wish it were several hours longer!
Great interview. You guys áre knowledgeable and your enthusiasm tells of your love for movies. Keep it up. I'm a diehard Tarantino fan too. Greetings from Sonora, México.
Great interview. Quentin is a fascinating guy and IMHO in the top 10 list of the best film makers of all time, for sure. Some would say the top 5. I happen to love Sergio Leone's Once Upon A Time movies- both are classics. These are probably two of the best westerns (In The West) and gangster (In America) films made. Sergio is one of Quentin's favorite directors so he named a third Once Upon A Time In Hollywood. Its a great film and vintage Quentin all the way. My fav Quentin Tarantino movies are 1. Pulp Fiction 2.Kill Bill 1 & 2 3. Reservoir Dogs 4Jackie Brown 5.Inglorious Bastards with Django Unchained very close behind. the some others are sort of tied. I think Quentin's most under-rated film has to be The Hateful Eight. First off, this a beautifully shot film shot in 70 mm. As many know, Quentin does not film or work with digital, only celluloid and very minimal CGI of any kind. For different scene types or scenarios he will use 8mm, 16mm, 35 mm, 70mm. He is one of the very few that only shoot using those mag reels. Oh yeah, the intro to Resevoir Dogs is still my fav scene in the whole film. I met Michael Madsen once at the Toronto Film Festivall (TIFF) and I could do Lawrence Tierney's voice calling him Mr. Blonde, he thought it was hilarious, funny guy.
Interview was great. Absolutely loved it. And you revealed, you got Quentin to reveal how he filmed the Van Nuys Drive in sequence. I grew up down the street from the drive-in and it was the theater I went to in the 1960s and the 1970s. I love that theater and I'm watching the sequence and I'm thinking over and over again how could here film that they tore it down more than 25 years ago. And I thought about it forever and ever and could not figure it out. And you got him to reveal that he build a set of miniature that was fantastic.
At first I came out of the theatre still trying to figure out what I had seen. When I gave it more thought, I came up with a couple theories. I think the movie is about redemption, it reflects humanity's imperfections, we create our own stories, that no matter what happens, everything is going to be OK.. The redemption comes from Brad's character and his past mistake, it is through him saving life even though he took one in his past.. Still thinking about the film. I think it deserves more than one watch to really gauge all it's meaning. The film was also beautifully shot, a great visual homage to LA. I think I really like this one.
Great interview nerds!!! Gonna see Once... today in UK. I met Quentin when he was showing Reservoir in the UK. He answered questions (I asked him what he learned from making RD. He said it was making time for the actors). I lost my signed poster over the years.

If Tarantino is gonna do only one more film, Star Trek is an idea I dislike very much. I'm much more excited in him doing completely new stuff from his brain. I'd love to see him working on genres he's never worked before, like doing an ancient period piece, or horro film, working with great actors he's never worked with. Also I think Tarantino should keep making films, I think he might age well in his craft, like Scorsese has.
Simply not as polished as the movie trailer which was a fantastic, beautifully orchestrated mix of cinematography & song, but still overall an absolutely awesome movie ! I would love to see the 4 hour version with extended musical scenes !!
I’d like to point one thing: every interviewer was too condescending and veneratine to Tarantino. I m sure he’s a director that can handle insidious questions
@@Betoven81 it's better than Deathproof and slightly better than Jackie Brown. Again, just an opinion. Others might think it's his best. DiCaprio's performance was something else though...wow

Sean O'Connell whats the dimension standard of the avengers ones you have in the back? please help me out i’m horrible with math lol. those are the classic ‘outside the theater’ size in my opinion! thanks for the great content
from time to time, i will get sicking tired of tarantino movies, even the ones i love, and then i hear the guy speak and, damnt it if i dont wanna watch them all over again!
It’s so unfortunate we are in a time where even Quentin terantino is afraid to offend anyone. He doesn’t lack as an artist, his hands were completely tied!
He must of felt like the hot girl in school taking to a flock of drooling geeks. I wonder what time they shut down the freeway for an hour at. Also why so short how are you guys running out of time and not him its your podcast, you can go as long as you want.
Captain Charisma bro it’s a fucking movie, if you want a history lesson go watch some documentaries. I feel it’d be worse to recreate these victims deaths with special effects. Not like people got annoyed because Inglorious Basterds wasn’t historically accurate.
You’re wrong. It’s a work of fiction and it was a great catharsis to see a story where those evil people get their comeuppance. A fairytale of wishful thinking,

So glad you guys asked which of his movies he'd cast Rick in!!
As soon as he said Quinn Martin, my eyes lit up & The Streets Of San Francisco's super funky theme music started to play in my mind.
You guys should interview him more often ! Great interview love when people share a passion for movies

FANTASTIC Interview, gentlemen. Thank you!
this interview is insane! thank you!!
Every time Quentin explains what he did everyone's reaction reminds me the Adam Sandler skit "Respect"
Big love, Quentin

Good questions did get good answers, not too long but a little too short.
So good!
Amazing interview!
Great interview!
Great Questions!!
I would accualy watch lancer with Timothy. Justified was great
Just subbed! Excellent interview!
I'm convinced this is Norm Macdonald.
He's a good man.
Great movie , this and pulp fiction
i love this fanboys tune in your voices, I'd talk to him like that too nice work guys keep it up
Yea was Great and wow would love to see some Rick movies! Thanks
Interesting interview!

Saw it last night...good movie but it doesn't outdo Pulp Fiction, the hateful 8, django or Inglorious basterds imo. However, it's fun nonetheless.
What about Jackie Brown???? or Death Proof??????

Sean O'Connell whats the dimension standard of the avengers ones you have in the back? please help me out i’m horrible with math lol. those are the classic ‘outside the theater’ size in my opinion! thanks for the great content
Sean O'Connell thank you so much for the info man helped out alot!
I would probably give up watching movies for the rest of my life in exchange for 20 minutes of 1 on 1 conversation with Tarantino.
For those that count Kill Bill as two movies... Once Upon a Time In Hollywood WAS Tarantino's 10th movie
1 piece each with screen 666 a piece "n.r.f." C.J.S. "smoke"
Interviewers should let Tarantino finish a sentence
Maybe Tarantino can still make the Vega Brothers movie with de aging technology
No,he shoots on film
I think it would be a waste of Quentin's talent if his last film is a Star Trek film... Shame there will be not Kill Bill Part 3.
Actually, him and Uma Thurman talked about it recently
from time to time, i will get sicking tired of tarantino movies, even the ones i love, and then i hear the guy speak and, damnt it if i dont wanna watch them all over again!
Once upon a time in hollywood is a masterpiece
If he were to count Kill Bill as two movies, wouldn't that bring his movie count to ten already?
Quintin: "Yeah, Bruce Lee is in this one, I totally f'd him up, I'm a major dick!"
@Cinemablend: cool show guys. Where did you get those neat frames for the posters behind you?

No video for this???
This movie and pulp fiction ain’t the same after you know about his foot fetish
Haha...such a bunch of fanboys....but you can't knock it. Great interview.
