Here's a short video of my weekend in The Cairngorms on my Winter Skills Course. It was quite hard putting a video together mainly due to the fact I was learning quite a lot so was hands on most of the time so struggled to film. Also the weather on the first day was awful so I didn't get the camera out at all. I booked the course with Hayley Webb Mountain Adventures and I can't recommend her enough. She's just awesome. She knows so much and is great fun to be around. Looked a great experience Rob with some interesting characters. Nice to see you doing your own stunts again! The Cairngorms certainly looks no place for the unprepared. I have to pop on my insulated jacket when I stope for any length of time. I get very mardy when I’m cold!
Hi Anthony, thanks for watching. It was really great fun and I’m already planning another trip next winter for an advanced winter skills course. I’d love to get back up to Scotland this winter and have another play but not sure I have the time so may just have to pray for lots of snow in the lakes instead. Thanks again 👍😊

Hi Rob, A brilliant film mate, I’m surprised you got any footage at all in those conditions. Some great pictures of the icicles on the fences etc, when the cloud cleared the view was spectacular. Sounds like you had some good craic with the rest of the team, did you all stay in a hostel? Yes it’s tough going in the Cairngorms when the weather is bad, it sounds like you enjoyed the experience. Did you learn any survival techniques on the course? I really enjoyed the film, thanks for making it, I can only imagine how hard it must have been to make the film in those conditions, well done. Hi Chris, thanks for watching. As always, I really appreciate it. We stayed in a big lodge which was part of an outdoor learning activity centre. Very similar to a hostel though. Hayley cooked all our meals for us which was awesome. We did t learn any other survival skills other than building the snow shelters which we rushed to do due to the incoming bad weather. Would loved to have had time to build a proper snow hole but Hayley said to do it properly takes absolutely ages and you need more than an ice axe. Highly recommend a course like this if you haven’t already done one. It was great fun. Thanks so much for watching Chris. It’s massively appreciated.
