Sure, nothing screams romantic more than using one of Disney's Gaston oldest trick in his playbook, coercing the woman you "love" by not giving her another choice but to marry you in exchange for your loved one's safety. Perfection at its best. XD
I think Lydia is Beetlejuice's soulmate for the afterlife I think a third film would better explain it as this film is not wrapped up by any means, Delores killed him to be with his soulmate little realising that would be his final destiny then that would a fitting end to the character if he was to marry Lydia at the end.
I just realized that Beetlejuice needs to get with the times. It's not the Dark Ages anymore. If he likes Lydia, he should just ask her out already. Not constantly ask for her hand in marriage. XD

@@TexZenMasterVillain and anti-hero are not synonymous terms. Anti-heroes are protagonists (ie heroes in the story) who aren't necessarily good people but they still end up being the protagonist for their own twisted or selfish reasons. Villains are the clearcut antagonists of the story. So Rory, Delores, and Jeremy were the actual villains in this movie. Though, Delores was actually probably more complex because in her own twisted way she was motivated by love, just like Beetlejuice. But Beetlejuice was actually a protagonist because he opposed the principle antagonists and ended up saving the day in a lot of ways. Like weren't you cheering him on when he sent Jeremy straight to hell and then outed Rory as the scumbag phony he really was? His motives weren't entirely evil either, since in his own twisted way everything he did in the movie was an expression of his love for Lydia. So, no. He wasn't a villain. That is a reductive take. If you're familiar with Tim Burton's other works, anti-heroic protagonists are a recurring theme. So this is actually very on brand for him. This isn't just coming from me though. These are actual literary terms that have different meanings.
@@UnorthodoxTantrums Anti-hero is a term flagrantly tossed around to justify villainous deeds committed by a character generally portrayed as the protagonist. This used to be a niche category where the justification is "the lesser of two evils." These days, it just serves to normalize evil deeds under the guise of perceived "heroism." Wonder woman is shown to be a cold and bloodthirsty r@pist and murderer; yet still is slapped with the "hero" label. With her, they didn't bother trying to classify her as an anti-hero; they just normalized these evil deeds as "heroic." Beetlejuice is trying to marry a woman against her will, terrorizes innocent people, condemns someone to fiery torment, and enslaves people for a short time... but we are supposed to see him as some sort of hero? No. He's just a villain. This new trend of glorifying evil deeds is part of a larger agenda, but that is a different conversation. Your comment about Tim Burton is flawed. Batman committed acts of violence to stop evil; as most heroes do. He was not an anti-hero. Edward Scissorhands had the same motivation. He only used violence to stop evil (or by accident). These are heroes; not anti-heroes.
Beetlejiuce got his fiancee a free wedding dress, a band, and cake and Lydia and her family didn't have to pay a thing. He should be husband of the year.

But I want to know who dog it was that
You know? The more I think about it, Beetlejuice is crazy powerful
My favorite part of the movie
What we literally see is Batman trying to wed Joyce Byers, with a song performed by the late Dumbledore playing in the background. Meanwhile, Wednesday Addams, Kate McAllister and The Green Goblin try to prevent this from happening.
1:14 Wedsenday Addams Mouthing Singing
If I'm being honest... Lydia should marry Beetlejuice already bro..hes so perfect.
Sure, nothing screams romantic more than using one of Disney's Gaston oldest trick in his playbook, coercing the woman you "love" by not giving her another choice but to marry you in exchange for your loved one's safety. Perfection at its best. XD
1:35 Never fails to make me laugh 😂
SAME it made me scream in the theater
lol
@@Meepisin 😂
lol Justin Theroux is the best
Loved the whole movie but this was my favorite part
Makes you want to have a slice of cake after watching this, huh?
YEP! 😊 a slice of cake with YUMMY green frosting 😂 it’s soo CUTE too that Winona kept the Lydia and BeetleJuice wedding cake topper! 🥹
I think Lydia is Beetlejuice's soulmate for the afterlife I think a third film would better explain it as this film is not wrapped up by any means, Delores killed him to be with his soulmate little realising that would be his final destiny then that would a fitting end to the character if he was to marry Lydia at the end.
3:59 Блин да чего же было мило когда он её руку поцеловал😊😊😊 ах господи
Ага
Someone is getting married just like this. I know it in my heart.
Initially I thought odd song as it's about a break up, but in some ways it works perfectly. Fantastic movie! So much fun!
Best part of the movie. Hilarious, exuberant, creepy, brilliant genius. Thank you Tim Burton for a wonderful sequel.
I just realized that Beetlejuice needs to get with the times. It's not the Dark Ages anymore. If he likes Lydia, he should just ask her out already. Not constantly ask for her hand in marriage. XD
3:01 why do I find that so cool?
It's an excellent look on Defoe, the exposed brain not withstanding. The red leather trenchcoat suits him and has an interesting cut.
because you're 12
@@KittyunderBoBo Well you’re probably 8 and, it’s my opinion. Not yours.

I totally ship Lydia and Beetlejuice. 😃
There’s a bit of an age gap
Fun fact: the singer of the original song is Richard Harris, aka Professor Dumbledore.
Peak Cinema.
It’s not a perfect film, but it’s still a good time. Especially this scene!
Anybody get the feeling that at the end of the day Lydia and Beetlejuice aren't enemies anymore? Like they have something over each other.
Definitely 💯
At The animated series are Friends and we saw what don't had in the 2 movies, Juice loves her since the first time he saw her, he looks her photo for 36 Years, they must end together.
I feel the same. She has some kind of familiarity with him, if there's ever a 3rd movie I need more scenes with Beetlejuice and Lydia!
There Frenemies
Winona Ryder said she considers them endgame.
This is my favourite scene from Beetlejuice Beetlejuice
SAME HERE!
I’ve not seen it yet but if this is the best scene I might skip it
lmao this movie is funny af give it a chance
when I saw this the day it was out, I was on the edge of my seat for this moment
Even after 36 years, Winona Ryder still looks really good in that red wedding dress.
0:58 oh noooooo🗣️🗣️🗣️🔥🔥
What if the lipsyncing was disoriented, they (except Beetlejuice) tríed say what they’re trying to say but the lyrics come out, no matter how mismatched lipsyincing is
2:30 This part is so freaky.
I know it looks so creepy
Looks more funny than creepy
It is
best part of the movie!
masterpiece!
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR POSTING THIS SCRNE I’ve BEEN LOOKING FOR IT 24-7 ONE OF THE REASONS BECAUSE OF WILLIAM DAFOE
As diabolical as he is, I feel like Beetlejuice became more of an anti-hero than a villain by the end of this movie.
An anti-hero is a villain.
Antithesis (to the) hero
@@TexZenMaster No, the definition of an antihero is a main character who lacks traditional "heroic qualities" (in other words, a flawed hero).
@@totorokochan A character who lacks heroic qualities and performs evil deeds.. If only there were a name for that.
Oh yeah: Villain.
This used to be a niche category where the justification is "the lesser of two evils." These days, it just serves to normalize evil deeds under the guise of perceived "heroism."
Wonder woman is shown to be a cold and bloodthirsty r@pist and murderer; yet still is slapped with the "hero" label.
Great "Banana boat" successor. I don't know why but it just fits!
También está la de tragedy
Beetlejuice is actually a pretty romantic dude.
Beetlejiuce got his fiancee a free wedding dress, a band, and cake and Lydia and her family didn't have to pay a thing. He should be husband of the year.
I was laughing so hard at this scene
fr 😂😂😂
This is definitely the most iconic scene of the movie. it’s really impressive.
Bro twerking in the right 1:58

Never noticed lool that's funny
Yeah That's Truth😂
Im ngl i sat in the theatre with my mouth open wide during this scene. As soon as i came home i had to find this scene but it wasnt available for streaming yet so i had to wait. Thanks for posting this
Bro I think i overhyped it this isn't as good as I remember
So in love with Jenna... Damn it...
What a wonderful scene which ends in a bitter way if only lydia smile during the scene it could be more beautiful 🥰😍
I was silently SQUEALING during this part 😂 and on the verge of SWOONING BeetleJuice is soo CHARISMATIC and ROMANTIC when he WANTS to be I think ESPECIALLY since he’s in luv with Lydia 😳 I was KINDA hoping BeetleJuice would grab Lydia and kiss her lol I THINK he kissed her hand tho and held unto her waist as he floated in the air with her 😍 it was soo BEAUTIFUL and I was EXPECTING Lydia to smile too lol I think she was just in shock 😱 I think it’s safe to say that she KNOWS now just how MUCH he loves her 😌
Well she's being married off to her adolescent nightmare, her stepmother and daughter are being turned into mind-controlled dancers, and said adolescent nightmare has turned into a musical theater director.
I'd expected her to be horrified or mentally checked out ("I'm not here this isn't happening"), but she seems to be in shock the whole time.
