This is actually SO much better than what we have now,, the NY theme would’ve been perfect for my current interest in the city, I wish this was the land they went with😔

The Spider Man coaster looks like it would've been one of the best coasters ever made. Seriously, how did they not greenlight it??? It would've been De La Terre A La Lune 2.0! It looks absolutely beautiful with those massive buildings and it seems Spider Man and Green Goblin would've been animatronics.
Totally agree; it would’ve been awesome! I feel like most of the Spider-Man and Green Goblin appearances could’ve been done with figures as we would pass by them quite quickly. There are some that should be animatronics though, like Green Goblin on top of the bridge!
it has become clear, but curious, that Disney wishes to compete with Universal in merchandising.
It used to be the other way around, but Universal really stepped up these last years! Competition is amazing for customers
I disagree, having been on Flight Force, a coaster would be to fast and dark to actually see the story going on, it would be a disappointment.
@@TheBaldr it seems you’re saying “I saw someone else do it not nearly as well as you could so I think no one should do anything”. That seems to be what the vast majority of people on earth seem to believe about all situations in all things, and I just don’t get it.
If this concept art is successfully incorporated into Tokyo DisneySea's American Waterfront, Tokyo could become the world's premier Disney park.
Legit saw this and thought this would of been perfect at Hollywood studios at the New York stage, esp with the lil ant man play area before the retheme to Star Wars and/orrr Disney sea.
I'm not a fan of Avengers Campus at all, i'm not even fond of Marvel inside the parks but this land and especially that Spider Man coaster looked so good with the indoor buildings and bridges. This New York themed street and attractions would have been a perfect addition to the Studios. I'm sure it would have been an awesome experience but as with all projects nowadays, Disney is looking for a quick buck.. Very sad! Thanks a lot for this video!
My pleasure! You bring a very important point into the conversation. Avengers Campus is a lot more interesting for Marvel fans, whereas this land would be great for mostly everyone, being based on New York City and using very well known characters for its attractions…
Just hearing about how there could have been an amazing spider man attraction makes me sad that it did not happen.

Would love to see just one more ride. Either a doctor Strange "falling through the multiverse" type ride with trippy visuals and a doctor Strange animatronic in the pre-show. Either that or a guardians of the galaxy ride.
Oh I really like that concept of Strange falling through the multiverse! It could be amazing and explore several different planets and universes with different art styles etc. Love that!
The avengers coaster should be like that Spider-Man coaster concept.
I had no idea that this was a thing but I always thought a NY theme would have been so much better and I wanted TOT to be Stark Tower. I should have known Disney had this idea but didn’t do it because they’re cheap
They're only cheap on the really good ideas. Meanwhile, they'll practically burn entire fortunes for lousy ideas, particularly when fans openly oppose it.
It's sad to see what started off as a perfect land for Studios turn into an ok-at-best land with lacklustre rides.
When I recently visited we got into the 45-min queue for W.E.B Adventure, and we were very close to the front when it broke down. We got given fast passes and came back the next day. Literally in the same spot, and another breakdown, another fast pass. Come on Disney!
Agreed… it could’ve been such an amazing land! WEB does break down several times, happened with me as well!
When was the point, when Disney lost the magic? All the new ptojects seem to be less magical and innovative then it was 20 years ago. But why?

The problem with avengers campus is that it’s extremely small. even with the e ticket attraction coming . The land is still so small. They should redone that land Into something else and waited for the Disneyland forward project to build across the street
Supposedly it's rumored that they plan on expanding the land. Rumored to be Wakanda.
Disney needs to get rid of Hollywood Studios in DCA and expand Avengers Campus. That area of DCA is just a waste of space.
Great review! As a fan of comics I would prefer this comicbased land instead of Avengers Campus. Spidey coaster looks amazing but it was not only expensive, it didn't show the Disney/Marvel Studios version of Spider-Man so I guess that is one of the reasons Disney cancelled it, along with the cost, of course.
This is CRAZY good! Would prefer it to what we have here in DCA as well... Oh well!

I hold out hope the stunt cars theatre will eventually be removed and replaced with the King Thanos E-Ticket going to California Adventure.
That would be the best case scenario! I wouldn’t mind a Wakanda area or mini-land which could then be connected to the (rumoured) Lion King land!
@@themainstreetnews That’s a good idea, too. But, my view of the lake is that it should have three Princess fairytale areas: Arendelle, perhaps Beauty and the Beast, and one other. Probably not Tangled as there is already the flat ride coming. Maybe a Snow White area with the 7 Dwarfs Nine Train or even Cinderella (after all, it’s France there has never been a Cinderella dark ride). I’m say this because the Art Nouveau style of the new lake area lends itself so well to fairytales. I would add the Lion King area where Car’s Road Trip is today. Separate. But, this is just me Blue Sky dreaming.
I really like that, but feel like that whole expansion would become a Fantasyland on steroids haha. The mix of themes may become a little too random though...

A new york city theme is so obvious and would have been a great fit for Paris/Hong Kong. I suppose it'd be tough to justify an NYC land in California Adventure, but that park already abandoned most of it's Californian identity. While I still think something like Wakanda would have been the perfect land, NYC would be so much better than the military industrial complexes we got with avengers campus

Never been to wdsp but its kinda sad to know only 1 rock n roller coaster still exists. As a kid I find it interesting to see different versions on TH-cam.
At its core, Flight Force still is Rock N’ Roller coaster, just without the rock part 😉

Correcta me fi I’m wrong, but this could still be done in a future expansion. I mean the Ironman rollercoaster is a really great adoration in terms of theme and modern land. But the spiderman ride could be constructed in the future as a new roller coaster which I think the resort needs kind of urgently. All the rides that we have are kind of old and the teen or most adventure visitor needs more offer, let’s see if they consider the new York style in the future, fingers crossed
While that could happen, it's extremely unlikely. Not only was the Spider-Man coaster a re-theme to the Rock N Roller Coaster, which is now Avengers Flight Force, but the land is built. While they could build a new roller coaster, it doesn't make sense to do so when other ride systems would be welcomed there. This about Paris, when talking about California, it could happen (them building a new coaster) but Disney has announced a new attraction, not a coaster.

Maybe once they work something out with Universal or if they give up Marvel to build I don’t know illumination land or if they ever buy Warner Bros, then they will revisit these plans for Disney world, it’s going to happen sooner or later. Universal already gave up Marvel in Japan
Not a fan of IP centric lands but I would be more receptive and accepting to this than what we got.
This land would have two main themes, New York and Marvel, while AC is only Marvel. This is a problem…

Budgets, I would assume. The costs were reduced by sharing them with Disneyland Resort and also, this was around the same time as Ratatouille, so it's possible that that won over this...

modern disney thinks that installing d-tier attractions and then spending the bulk of the budget on theming it well enough is a smart financial move and it might be if they weren't hemorrhaging those "savings" on dumb shit. giant screens everywhere don't make me want to stand in line for your gussied up county fair tier mid ride

Avenger campus is pretty well done and was pleased when visited. It just needs 1 e ticket attraction where the arena is. Would like to see a trackless darkride themed to the avengers, or Captain America similar to Spiderman at the Island of Adventure

Flight Force is the E-Ticket of the land, but rarely exceeds 20min of wait time lately. There's not a lot of interest because there's not a lot to look at...
You fundemnerally misunderstand what these plans are and what rhe bluesky imagineering phase is. Not everything they come up with is realistically feasible. Its like you forget disney isnt ACTUALLY magic and still needs to abide by the laws of logic 🤦

Ah, I’m talking about the version in Disneyland Paris, not the one from DCA. This project was done by DLP, for DLP, which later became Avengers Campus

@themainstreetnews have you found any news about the original plans for the one at dca? Because on disbaords there was leaked info that showed the avengers campus was originally going to use the Hollywood Backlot area instead of a bugs land. Also the e ticket quinjet ride was amazing before it was canceled for the cheaper multiverse ride.
I did not research for DCA, but will do so! Could find something interesting 😉
