it's probably 20 Million to buy, and if you are smart enough and read enough books and do some smaller boats, learn how to fiberglass, and learn how to use 3D CAD and a CNC machine, that 20 Million USD price tag drops to around $100,000-200,000.
@@maple-leafs13 Sure buddy... That cat is 33.5 meter/110 feet(!)... It could easily carry quite the battery bank. And it absolutely has a large battery bank. And that battery bank is most likely made up of lithium batteries. The video makes it super obvious that lowest possible weight was not in the design brief for this cat.
it's about 100 feet long, so prices start at 10 Million USD before you start specing it out on the inside.... At 100 feet long and a catamaran, assuming you have the right wind conditions, 20 knots is easily possible i'm sure.
Carbon Fiber isn't really that much lighter than glass epoxy. The core material is where you get the weight reduction. So it's probably PVC Foam core with 3-4 layers of carbon fiber. Ironically, Basalt & Epoxy is much cheaper and stronger than carbon fiber.
If you get a knock down with a catamaran you are toast , so i would not like to face 65 knots storm. Admitted i never been in 65 knots storm on a catamaran. But the thought is scary. A mono hull with good ballasted keel will rice again. Other than that it is a beautiful boot.
Work the problem: - Learn how to use Solidworks - Read the book - "Elements of boat strength" - Get a $500 hobbyist grade 3 axis CNC router - Learn how to use toolpath generator software for the above CNC machine - Learn how to build a small 10 foot catamaran out of plywood and lumber - learn how to properly fiberglass & epoxy the boat hull If you obtain the above skillset, you will have 95% of all the skills required to build a catamaran of any size. Raw materials for this size of boat are not as expensive as you think....
My god 24 million dollar ?? I will buy Bering yacht 77 or 80 in 6-7 million dollar and will spend 2 million dollar on fuel and maintenance for at 10 years .
Wow. It has to be the most fabulous catamaran I’ve ever seen. Cheers to them.
The closer you get to it IRL, the more impressive it gets. I've efoiled around it in Hawaii.
Awesome, thanks for sharing! 😎🇦🇺

Esses Homens e seus catamarans maravilhosos...
Stunningly beautiful cat. Well done. One question on the vid........was that a shark scoping around by the aft ladder into the water at the 1:37 mark?
Yup
This is the most extraordinary boat that I had ever seen. What a money and endeavor well spent. 👏👏👏👏👏
Where are the solar panels?
You cannot put lithium batteries because they are heavy. Catamarans are incable of taking weights unlike monohulls.

This cat is an old design. The owners are old, and want to offload it.

Who cares about solar -looks great without ugly panels.
Great sailing vessel but no mention of specs?

In which part of the boat is the office situated ?
Tres bon!
One hell of a cat. Looks fast What is the highest speed and the cruise speed? With the new hydraulic systems can you sail alone?
Howmuch weightgain in endproduct compared to building in glass epoxy ?

I thought Vitalia at 120 ft long was the largest carbon cruising cat?
they forget things like that. They dont know how to google.
Very nice. What must it be like to be the 0.0000000000000000000000000000000001%
Long, narrow and very light.
A monster rig.
How long before she's upside down?
the longer the boat is the more stable it is.
@@daomingjin No, the longer the faster.
Multihulls need a wide beam to compensate for the lack of a keel, especially with a big rig.
nice boat. I've been on big cats but not that big.
it's only 100 feet long....
Bless u wish I could come with you
I can afford a actual mouse trap, I’ll be waiting ladies.😂
what do you mean for the name?? mouse trap ??
this boat will never sell at asking price, not even for half the asking price.
the people that have the ability to buy this boat are billionaires. The starting cost for just the empty hull alone is $10 Million minimum...

Not much actual information about the ship.
if you worked all your life and you don’t have such a yacht, it means that you just worked all your life.(((
most people spend half of their life just to earn money to pay taxes for a government that doesn't give a shit about them.

i agree. but about 10 yacht girls 18-23 showing their tits and ass - THAT certainly sells :P
