THANK YOU!! A great video showing the main features (no opening of every little hatch and cupboard...thank you) and allowing the audience to make up their own minds. Well done. I've subscribed.
THANK YOU ! FINALLY SOME ONE WHO IS NOT YELLING IN THE VIDEO THE WHOLE TIME! JUST SHOWING THIER FACE THE WHOLE VIDEO!! SO SICK OF ME ! ME ! VIDEOS! THANKS
This will be a fast cat, but it definitely isn't the fastest unless comparing strictly against other fly bridge cats (in which case the HH88 will likely still beat it). The flybridge adds a lot of weight and has forced the sail area higher up in the ship. This means the centre of effort of the sails is higher and therefore the cat is less stable, that means it has to reef sooner and is therefore slower. In the same size range the Chris White A72 and A70 will definitely be faster and I'd be willing to bet that the ORC 57 and perhaps even some of the bigger Loopings will be faster.
Well said. I will also miss the center cockpit. This feels like a Caribbean cat that will motor from beach to beach, more than crossing the Atlantic regularly just for fun. (Not that it's not able to though.)
The HH8801 is an enclosed fly bridge as well. I watched the sea trials and the builder says 21 maybe 22 knots in 30 knots true. Gunboat always point up wind better due to their dagger boards. HH uses a hydraulic folding centerboard I believe. I've seen the GP68 do 28 knots in 34 true, and we were holding her back the entire time. Neither Hudson, or McConaghy can say that. Can't wait to hear the first time the new GP80 tops 30 knots surfing a swell.
Hello. There is a red kill switch there inside helm station writes "sails dump". What is that for? Release Halyard or sheet or what? Serious question. Thanks
Beautiful finishes and furniture. Some design elements are great, but this has be my least favourite gunboat. The fly bridge is a miss, as are the cabin and salon layouts. Gunboat 66 and 68 are better designs in my humble opinion.
You can't compare the 2, they both have their own fan base. I would say Cat, more space, more stable, more safe, more speed, holds more value, but lets not forget you pay more for it. So its not for everyone.
Shame. To throw all that heritage and philosophy out the window for some wealthy individual who should have bought a Lagoon or Sunreef. It's for the people who want a SUV-Coupe-Cabriloet with 700 hp and think it will be a sportscar
People used to day the same thing about the Porsche Cayenne. it not only allowed Porsche to keep selling 911s but actually for the brand to stay in business. Ayatollahs will always complain about anything that isn't "extreme enough" or "not pure enough", we all know where that kind of thinking leads....
Aside from the swim platform, the flybridge, and the entire boat forward of the mast, there's not a single place where one could lie in the sun, how ridiculous.
This is BS. There is not a faster cat than a Spronk. Been there done that. If you like a floating condo this is for you....if you are a true sailor there is only one choice, Spronk.

Finally, a Gunboat I could live with.
But can you afford it?

Moving the forward window pilons into a curve with glass is inspired. Such a cool ship
A thing of beauty
Only the French would ruin a Gunboat by putting a flybridge on it
Steps up to it are the same as the lagoons, I’ve made a handrail for one that I copied of a lagoon to stop the important people falling of
Would love to see it under sail.....😊
@4:57 Sails dump seems to be the most genius idea ever. Any way to automate that if the boat lists more than 40 degrees?
Perfect
Agree 100%

_Allegra_ could give it a run for the money - not sure about _Sunshine._

A72 for me.

I’ll take it 😂❤
Putting a flybridge on a Gunboat is like permanently attaching a travel trailer to a Ferrari.
No! Its more like a Ferrari SUV!
wow
Has anyone shot a video of this boat "putting the peddle down" yet?

Do you know what a walk-through without any comment is worth or interesting to watch? No comment...
Depending on the wind.
So 2.4 million would make my life mean a considerate more
I have no friends left to show it to they all went home
Flybridge made it perfect.
A masterpiece thanks for showing us around it, shame about the sound.
How fast is it because the Cats in the Americas cup went around 50 knots or so.
ORC 57 has entered the chat.
Flybridge on a Gunboat, about as much use as tits on a bulldog, ashtray on a motorbike or a chocolate fireguard.
@@bertmacdonald337 I'm sure they'll build you one without the flybridge, me too, for that matter.
can it go north atlantic ?
no
I would Love to win the lottery
Boy, it sure loses a lot of it's luxury once you look at the bedrooms!
😭😢 I Want it..
How much are we up to $10M? $15M?
Think the catalogue said something about 9-10M€ with equipped
It has no GUN on it, come on man!
How much is this Cat? 5 million?
why are there so many bathrooms
@2:30 Now the boat must be run from there. I don't like it. Not one bit actually. Defeats the entire purpose of the original design.
Eh eh the frogs went lagoon on a gunboat, no thanks
Cool, but not the fastest Cat in the world.
Mono or Cat? That is the question.

@@CatamaranChannel The impossible question.
if you worked all your life and you don’t have such a yacht, it means that you just worked all your life.(((

That’s one heavy baby cats are extremely sensitive to every kilo luxurious it is fast it is not.
can someone translate this to English.
@@vorjay no.
@@fantabuloussnuffaluffagus it was sarcasm anyway.
I call such interiors "quick assembly". Dangers at every step
100%
Totally exposed helm! Not good!!!
Fastest sailing catamaran, not catamaran.
well, duhhh

Ultimate _Marina queen_ - one of the landmark gin palaces in Monaco harbor during the Grand Prix no doubt.

Never driven RS6 or E63 wagon it would appear.
Ferrari Purosangue anyone?
Few milion EUR and there is not even a single place to lie down and sunbathe
Aside from the swim platform, the flybridge, and the entire boat forward of the mast, there's not a single place where one could lie in the sun, how ridiculous.
Imo a gunboat catamaran with a flybridge isn’t a nice catamaran, it’s just a big whale.
100%
This boat is like someone with a 45' motor home saying they're going camping. It's a rich person toy, will hardly ever sail. What a waste.
🤮
