I love and really appreciate your honesty about your hibernating WIPs and things you’ve chosen not to progress with. I think it can be so easy on social media to want to show everything as ‘positive’ and make sure we complete things rather than just moving on or waiting if they don’t work out. I definitely know I can feel guilty if I don’t finish things that I’ve talked about on the podcast, so I really appreciate this much more relaxed mindset - I could learn a lot from this I think! ❤
Absolutely! There's definitely added pressure when you show something on a podcast or in another video. Because planning videos are new for my channel, I wanted to make sure they were still me, and I often change my mind about projects I plan to make or ones that I've started and am not gelling with 😂 I'm so glad you enjoyed the video 😊
I love that you only make content that brings you joy because the cozy happiness comes across so beautifully and authentically in your videos 🥰🥰💞💞. You can just see it in your eyes and face which WIPs you're excited and passionate about and it gets me feeling excited for my own projects 😂😂🥰🥰. Can't wait for the new advent video and also your 2024 knitting reflections 💞💞💞💞
Yay!!!! I'm so glad you're excited about my upcoming videos 💋 I try really hard to balance content that makes me happy and content that I think will appeal to viewers, so I'm really glad to know that comes across ☺️😘
So glad you’re not doing vlogmas if you don’t love it! Life is too short to spend it doing things that bring you stress. Also I’m so excited for your advent pattern roundup and the everything you knit video ❤
Hi Whitney! Lots of lovely projects both in progress and planned for the near future❤ I watched your vlogmases the past two years and enjoyed them, but if making them didn't bring you joy you 100% made the right decision quitting vlogmas all together. I'm excited to watch the others video that will come in the next weeks and especially the "what I knit in 2024 video"🎉
Seeing all your hibernating knits and the new things you have cast on has reassured me that I've done the right thing this morning casting on something new and buying new yarn!
I can't wait for your video discussing the mental health behind knitting. As someone who relies on knitting to help with mental health I like to hear it talked about.
It definitely had an impact on my making this year so I really want to make a point of talking about it instead of going through and listing my projects made this year with no context ❤️
I don't even like concerts and I had such a good time! And one of my favourite local musicians Joel Plaskett opened for them and played my favourite song!
That cami makes me actually want to knit a cami. I've been shy about it cause I've seen so many with sketchy fit but that one looks like the fit is really great.
I'm making an easy eyelet yoke lite. It has a stockinette folded collar and once I split the sleeves and tried on the collar fit really nicely (it does have short rows in the back)
Hi Whitney! Love your videos! I was wondering if you could answer a question about your Lento sweaters… Do you knit them according to the pattern exactly? When I knit mine, I found that the Raglan increases after the German short rows on my left side didn’t lineup. Have you encountered this problem? Thanks so much!
I haven't had a problem with mine not lining up. I've had issues with the stitch counts not adding up properly, which I talked about in my podcast episode last year when I finished my purple version. With my red version I'm not doing the kfb increases, I'm doing a backwards loop cast on method instead. I also started my red version with the stockinette section on the larger needles and picked up for the folded neckband on smaller needles afterwards. Other than those small changes, I follow the pattern as written.
@ Ah, ok. My local yarn shop suggested a different increase may solve my problem, so maybe I will try that as well. Thanks so much for getting back to me.
Flying is hell for people of size, and unfortunately for the people that sit next to us and have their space encroached upon. I always feel so bad and self-conscious for that reason.
I'm lucky that my seat neighbour was my husband and he loves me. If it's not him I feel self-conscious too, but I'm done feeling bad for something that isn't my fault because it's really unfair that we get blamed for seat sizing that is FAR too small for 90% of people.

That Soufflé top is going to be a dream 😍 I’m so excited for your Everything I Knit in 2024!
Thank you so much Ali! I'm really excited to take a tour through my knits and chat about how my mental health impacted my creative process this year 😊

Yes! Cast on energy!!! Follow the joy 😄
I just wanted to say: I love that I get to spend time watching you talk about knitting :)) ❤
Awww thank you so much! 🥰
Great sweater you have on!! Good luck with your plans!! I’ll try to catch your Dec. videos but like most folks I’ll have lots to do.

Ahhh the Arkells! their concerts are so fun

I absolutely LOVE the fit of it and there are a lot of customization options to help you get the best fit possible ☺️

I think I have the whole EEY collection of patterns 😂 I'm hopeful I'll have enough yarn for the folded neckband
