Folks have no idea what kind of fun their missing out on by not carp fishing. Since I was 9 or 10yrs old and caught my first carp, I was hooked all for the fun and fight. Thank you Justin for all your high quality content you bring to us. I greatly appreciate it my self. People make you up some pack bait and give it try it's very fun. That unlike a lot of other fishing when they start getting on that bait it can last all day not a few hours and shut down for 10 or 12 hrs before they feed again or that's my usual experience I don't think I've ever went longer than a hour without getting another run.
Don't talk about it to much or everyone and their mama will be in your spot like they found it first.
It's very fun carp fishing I really enjoy it and I really enjoy watching your videos keep them coming

Me and some of my friends used Wheaties and Big Red soda
In April of 1959, I got a Zebco 33 on a Shakespeare "wonder rod", for my 10th birthday. The first week of May, I snuck out with a box of Quaker Oats and a small bottle of vanilla extract that fueled what turned into a lifeling obsession of Carp fishing which expanded in every direction as I grew. Till this day, I can't turn away from a chance to go fishing. It's always good to see I'm not the only one. Keep slingin those baits,Justin !😅

My brother and I used to make what we called dough balls, I can't remember exactly what we made them out of flour and canned corn for sure. Anyway we would fish below a dam that was on a river that ran through the town we were living at in central Wisconsin and boy oh boy we caught some huge carp. I had to have help landing a few because I was a skinny 9 year old. It was exciting that's for sure.

I share your excitement everytime I see you catch a mirror carp. Such cool patterns.
Dude, taking on that much water is scary. I had a PA14 once. Got caught in some really bad stuff in the Gulf of Mexico a few times and took on some water but never anything like that. I had to carry a handheld bilge pump just in case. They work well and are a cheap safety device. Glad it turned out ok. That could have gotten real bad man. I love Hobie. Fish a PA12 now. But you are right. They are falling behind some other manufacturers in today’s market and really need to listen to their customers and update the PA platform. Great video as always. Suggestion. I'd put some on the feeder and put it into a glass container and see how long it takes to disperse. This will give you the indication of how often to rebait. I've done this with my catfish bait I use. I need to rebait every 6 minutes unless the current of the water is moving.
Carp are a blast to catch. Females are the one that jump in order to assist with getting eggs to drop. My PB is a 22 pounder that I caught at one of our local lakes in Bakersfield. My choice of bait is Wussy's poor man bait on the carp rig set up. If you've never went after carp, you're missing out on a good fight.
Watching carp video's I've learned thats it's better to pack the hook into the bait on the coil. When it's on the ground, they pull it in and then spit it out. When it's packed in on the coil, its pulled it and hook sets better. That's just my advice. The hook set up I use is also a coil spring with 6 hooks. They are sold on Amazon. Usually two per pack for about 5 dollars or so.

Here an ideas for you that I do since the kids are all move out. Buy you a prime rib when they go on sale and get it sliced or cut it yourself. Then you got rib eye steaks for about 1/2 price . Then vacuum seal them and put them in the freezer. You will have about 8 to 10 steaks.🎉
Normaly carp are spawning on the sides of the lake, so probably the bigger ones you will catch verry close on the sides, for sure not in the middle ;... The little carps and catfish will seek for the eggs to eat them. Only a few will survive and becomme big;
These carp you are catching are big compared to what i catch, I live in Colorado and the carp we catch out here are 2 to 5 lbs and occasionally a 10 pounder, but non the less its still a blast especially on light tackle, keep the videos coming, you're doing a fantastic job.
Yes in europe we have a lot of respect for carp ! you had somme carp today who easely could reach 20 pound considered there length ! maaybe even more. They all so skinny , a big head and a small skinny boddy. Means to much foodcompetition ...

Dear Justin even in times when they not spawn carp like to hang out under trees, because lots of food in the trees falling down in the water ; So I always used 1 rod to trow close by in the side of the lake.
using something like blueberries or other juicy fruit like raspberries mix it with cornmeal and flour and smash them into a nice smelly dough ball.
I would hate to think what 5 8to10 pound carp would do to $250 plus bass rod a reels, I cringe to think what they would look like at the end of the day.
Glass a water and crystal light at all restaurant different flavors tea ,lemon tea and array of flavors and yes I know it has artificial sweetner and I don't care.
That water is so muddy from all the carp who digging in the ground for somme food. There is a lot of carp there .....

GREAT VIDEO!!! LOVE the CARP VIDEO"S!! On the Hull of your boat could'nt you use a Small pond pump to get the water out? They have the pumps that are about 2 inches square with a 3/8 hose and works off of 12 volts for around $10. I use a couple in my bait tank and they have 4 suction cups so no mounting, They work great for me.They have a positive & negitive clips you just attach to your battery when you want it on. Keep the videos coming please LOVE them all!!

Those carp in the English ponds have middle names, bank accounts and publicists. They've been caught so many times, they probably choose which side of their mouth to get hooked. Not my idea of fun fishing but who's judging.

If you spend 20 to 25 hrs a week editing videos that's hours you can't fish and we can't see you fish. You also tell us you don't always catch fish and are not going to make us sit through it. I say keep on keeping on and for the ones don't like it as Triple H would say you can "SUCK IT".

Came down and fished watts bar Wednesday-Saturday and caught 100+. We did see some spawning in a little cove on the upper end past anglers cove.

I screamed for Will to come help. He was yelling GET IT TO THE BANK! lol it was so small and I was so embarrassed. 🤦🏻♀️ it was definitely more pull than a blue gill. 😝

:) I mentioned before that my first fish was a carp. It also had only one eye. My bait was dough balls. It was just flour and water. Worked pretty well. This was probably in 1958 or 1959. I was 6 or 7. A few older boys came over to see it and one said " He caught old one eye! " I felt pretty important having caught a " famous " fish. I even had my picture taken at the newspaper building and had my photo in the next day's paper. I don't think of carp as trash fish!

Good evening, Justin. I actually use the Same bait you're using for carp. And I do it the same way, but I use whole sweet kernel corn with mine on the hook it self and I've caucht very nice carp. Great job, buddy.

The orange spring ones at Walmart have never let me down as long as the rod fits and you get it into the ground. Beyond that a forked stick ant a loosely set drag will get it done.
