    2023. I still own mine. It works perfectly, great for music and clear voices. Just what I need.

    Have this for bedroom and it's more than adequate. The sound you do get is full and pretty accurate given its small size. Better than most soundbars I've heard in similar price range. I like the aesthetic for a bedroom. I got mine used at auction for $40 USD equivalent in Canada so it's beyond awesome at that price.

    10 years later $35 at goodwill with remote.
    Audiophiles can kick rocks. This thing is perfect for bedroom movie watching and white noise during sleep.

    I have this sound bar and I am very pleased with it. The sound quality is good especially with the delivery of voice quality. The bar is small and for me that just worked out fine for the size of the barracks room I have as it fills it with rich clear sound.

    I just ordered one of these. It's going in the bedroom so loudness is not a big issue. Am just looking for something to improve my Netflix watching while in bed. I will post a review on the sound quality after I've had it for a lil while.

    I had one of these and it was alright to a point, yes it was an improvement over the built in speakers on my television but it had no indication to show what was the maximum limit. Sadly after playing up my unit died recently. I have now replaced it with a Yamaha YAS109 and the difference is noticeable. I can use the app to control my unit and set it up, also it comes with Alexa built in. Sadly Bose seem unable to make stuff that’s better than average. I think slowly we are seeing Bose loose their way, I have yet to find anything from them that doesn’t have some sort of fault, the name seems to be all that matters which is a real shame. The build quality is not always great, I have a pair of noise cancellation headphones and the cups are disintegrating. My other headphones from Bose have the black coating falling off the ear cups and it almost looks like an exotic form of Eczema . My wave unit ( large one) has a headphone socket but even if you play Bose ones on it the sound is really dreadful. I think it has to be Yamaha over Bose , Yamaha are well respected all across the globe. I hope Bose find their way again, they do deserve to do well and hopefully they will discover their form again.

    I got my Bose solo this afternoon and its working out quite well. It is a little more pricey than others I've previewed but I added an additional pedestal for it to sit with my DVR on top. The only complaint I have is you cannot control it with my DVR universal remote, so I have another remote I have to keep up with during my TV viewing time. :(

    We're on our second unit, the first stopped working from remote, replaced battery, no luck! Had it replaced after taking too long at the repairers. Second one, battery again, still doesn't work. no option to switch on without remote?

    That's what the problem is with us. We care too much about design and not enough about the quality of the product. It's like going to a restaurant and ordering a $30 cheeseburger that looks quite delicious but is mediocre in its taste.

    this is rediculous... affordable? Why would i pay 400 dollars for a soundbar that has the sound of a lepai 2020a+ hooked up to a couple of nice bookshelf speakers? (so 100 bucks vs 400).

    Does it work with a Xbox One ?

    • @dpack6339
      @dpack6339 10 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      It is designed to accept the connection from your TV with all of your electronics connected to the TV. It does not pass through video to the TV so you would need to run a separate audio cable from the Xbox if you wanted to directly connect it. I have the Bose Solo with only one optical cable connected coming from the TV optical out. All my devices (cable box, Wii U, blu-ray player, original Xbox) connect directly to the TV. As I change inputs on the TV to the desired device, the TV automatically outputs the sound to the Solo.

    There are other systems out there that sound better (ZVOX, etc.), but none of the match the overall quality, reliability and customer service from Bose.
    Can't really go wrong with this system, if you understand that it is not meant to be a home theater system....Bose will gladly sell you one of their Cinemate systems for that.

    • @um02122
      @um02122 ปีที่แล้ว

      Your comment didn't age well, these are notorious for high failure rates out of warranty, problem sits with the motherboard. So, maybe delete reliability. And customer support.

    $400 for a big fat box with speakers and lack of durability to handle the weight of many 42 inch tvs...

    $400 not a good price.

    Blows big time. Stay away at all costs. Sound bars are worthless and my bose 10 is a big ugly door stop. I wouldn't give it away it's so bad. What you need for a sound system is a great pair of blue tooth speakers or wired in wall/ceiling speakers. I hate all companies, every product pretty much sucks so I listen to the TV without any additional crappy sound bar or bose solo. A frigging 70s tape recorder has better sound

    total piece of shit. the remote is ultra cheap(my broke twice after being dropped about a foot) and the system itself now only works for a few minutes and then makes a loud humming sound when it works and no sound it all when it doesn't. no reset or power buttons on there either. just about the worst 500 bucks spent ever to pay for a big name and worst of all? the "exclusive" name means about the only place to get it fixed is from bose themselves for about almost as much as you paid for it new!
