      Thank you for the review, you actually did a very good job. I appreciate it. I have looked at this sound bar a few times now at Costco. I wasn’t overly impressed with the sound at Costco but all I could do was hit the demo button that they had set up. It sounded pretty static key and not very clear. In your demo it sounded much better, and may be if it was hooked up to a TV during a movie it might sound better than what I experienced at Costco. For the price it would be tough to beat! I thought it did include an HDMIARC cable though correct? And optical cable

    I agree with you entirely about the dialogue mode. Also have this sound bar in my bedroom and it really does amplify the dialogue very well. I have a lot of fans on in my house because it gets really hot in the summer time and as long as I have the volume high enough I can hear it perfectly. It definitely sounds better if you use an HDMI cable and hook it up to the eARC feature. But either way you can’t go wrong

    I bought this box from Costco after using just the tv’s internal speaker for years, Once our Samsung tv speaker started to be muffled and distorted from overuse. This speaker blew my husband and i away. The dialogue is so clear now! Bass lines from TV show intros we had never noticed before sang! The speaker is really one directional as well and while the speaker can go loud it doesn’t ring throughout the house. It’s so easy to plug your Bluetooth into, I can’t believe we didn’t buy this sooner. If you’re on a budget and paying double for a full theatre situation is out of reach this thing will drastically improve your tv watching experience from just using tv speakers (even before ours broke) don’t even get me started on how great out video games sound now. It’s also easy to Bluetooth my music into for a party. While it doesn’t go through the house (like it’s so much more one directional than other speakers I own) it’s still handy. Thanks for the review! I forgot how to control the bass! Hahaha

    Great video and review! I got convinced to buy one. I have an LG OLED TV, it’s an amazing screen quality, but the sound is always a challenge. I put the volume on low, so I don’t wake up the kids, I can barely hear the dialogue. Then, all of a sudden, a loud background noise, effects or music! I tried adjusting the settings on multiple occasions, still hasn’t work for a better movie experience.
    I hope this solves it!

    I don't find myself rewinding to hear a line I missed or using closed caption as much, so that is a tremendous plus and the reason I wanted a sound bar.
    I choose this one because it's supposed to turn on automatically with the TV in the ARC3 port. It doesn't turn on probably half the time, so I have to pause the program and turn it on manually. I have to pause it because I get quite a few seconds of silence. High quality Samsung TV, about 2 years old.

    I've always loved the sound Bose speakers give and I have other Bose products, this speaker though is excellent snd now I can set the sound fully to my requirements it's even better especially with my Samsung TV, as we know the sound which comes from these TVs is absolutely awful on its own.

    Looking for a little clarity here, no pun intended.... With this sound bar does it have all the sound coming through it or does sound come through the tv speakers AND the Bose sound bar at the same time? Thanks for the help!

    • @SentinelSays
      @SentinelSays 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Depends on the TV settings. You can set them to output to either the TV speakers, soundbar or both. Quick word of warning however; some TV’s don’t adapt for latency so if you play through both at the same time, there can be a mismatch where the sound coming through one source is a few milliseconds ahead of the other. That’s entirely TV dependant and all soundbars have the same potential issue. If that happens, just set it to soundbar only.

    None other than
    “Money”, Pink Floyd.. well holy crap.. it was insane..
    Anyway I’ll finally get some Bose in my life..

    I have been deaf since a teenager and can no longer wear hearing aids..
    And I sit 2.7 mtrs away from my first ex husbands 75inch 4K Oled TV..
    So I honestly cannot wait to receive this speaker..

    The dialogue mode works perfect for my wife! The bass from this soundbar has more bass then you imagine without even a sub! It is off course not the same as a 5.1 systeem. It works perfect for your TV. With a hdim arc you can use the remote of your tv. The quality is very good of the product. It is heavy and the connections are very stable!

  • @DarrenGator

    Audio & audio devices are subjective, what works & sounds good to one may not for another. People tend to ignore the fact that audio devices like the sound bar you reviewed, should be chosen not only on audio quality but the application it will be used for. I plan on doing a video about this subject soon.

      A little late to the party… but recently had to replace my 2017 50” LG 4K TV and I won a free Vizio V-Series 50” 4K TV from work… Yay right?! Never needed a soundbar with my LG… the Vizio is worse (picture, colors, upscale, sound etc) in every way possible. *However, the sound quality really makes this TV almost unwatchable?!* It sounds like two tin cans no exaggeration. Also, there is no bass at all and you can’t hear the dialogue even at higher volumes because the speakers almost sound like they’re vibrating. Worst part though, is the *volume levels are so unbalanced (even with level settings ON/OFF)* that it goes from normal to blasting loud volume just because I changed what I was watching on Netflix? Sorry for the rant… I know it’s unrelated, but I’m getting the Bose TV speaker for around $100 on eBay (says it’s new in box) and being my first soundbar ever, I hope this remedies the sound issue until I can upgrade the TV? I’m not an audiophile, just want clear balanced sound. My TV does have something called eARC whatever that is… my question is should I use the included optical cable or buy an HDMI cable? Thank you in advance for any response

      @@billdepalma161 Hi, can you tell which sounds better for a TV - Bose TV Speaker, or Flex? I know how Flex sounds connected to TV (or other sources), but I don't know how Bose TV Speaker sounds compared to Flex? Can you explain, since you seem to have both? Is the bass of Bose TV Speaker comparable to the bass of Flex? or less ? or more? I'm mostly interested in the use case of TV, not much of other sources. Also, does Bose TV Speaker sound different when connected via wire to the TV and when connected via Bluetooth to the TV (assuming the latter is also possible)?

      That’s similar to the problem I’m having with my new bedroom Vizio V-Series (V505) 4K TV. The sound levels jump when I change movies on Netflix sometimes? I know it’s a $300 TV but it replaced a 2017 LG 4K TV which was also the bottom tier Walmart/Target special but the LG had AMAZING sound quality for a cheap TV. Vizio has literally NO BASS and it sounds like two tin cans vibrating. Apparently, this is normal for Vizio V-series… so I’m buying this Bose TV speaker for $100 on eBay (says brand new) and I’m not sure what to use to hook it up? Now my TV has something called eARC (not sure what it is) should I use the included optical or just an HDMI cable to hook it up? Also, can I use a regular HDMI or is it a special audio HDMI cable?

    Some people in comments said, "Bueno!" Can I get more input from Mr. Boomer, or anyone else? Does it stay on, all the time? Are there ways to enhance it? Are there any downsides? Is there better 'Dialogue' technology with other brands?
    This one is paid for, but if it doesn't perform can still replace it. Never heard of the 'Dialogue' feature before. Sounds like witchcraft. And of course, in a few years, I will need this feature, too!!! British features are becoming problematic :-(

    I bought a Bose SLIII bluetooth speaker about 10 years ago (maybe more). I use it to boost my phone music when I travel. Still awesome sound, battery seems to still be good. I would buy another replacement but they no longer support sales. Model looks like a large brick.

    Thanks for the review. I’m looking between the Roku Streambar and this Bose. The Roku is supposed to be great for dialog too. We already have the stream stick plus so dialog reviews is what I was mostly looking at. We are over 60 and have a miserable time with voices. Have you listened to the Roku streambar. What’s your best advise. Thanks so much.

    I'm looking at sound bars for my mother, she has an older (non smart I think) 55 inch LG TV. I believe it's the older 1080 p version but it still has a great picture. I don't believe her TV has the HDMI arc connection ( I need to look at it to be sure) but I do think it has the optical port. I'm wondering if I can still hook the sound bar up via an HDMI cord even though I don't think the TV has arc and if there would be any benefit to it over hooking it up via an optical cord?

    • @TheBoomerConsumer
      @TheBoomerConsumer  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The short answer is no real benefit as this would not support CEC to control the volume.

      Whisper sweet nothings to it while gently caressing it's case. That is an almost guaranteed way to turn it on (depending on your technique).

    *I hope someone reads this… I need help!* Recently had to replace my 2017 50” LG 4K TV and I won a free Vizio V-Series 50” 4K TV from work… Yay right?! Never needed a soundbar with my LG… the Vizio is worse (picture, colors, upscale, sound etc) in every way possible. *However, the sound quality really makes this TV almost unwatchable?!* It sounds like people screaming at me through two tin cans no exaggeration. Sorry for the rant… I know it’s unrelated, but I’m getting the Bose TV speaker for around $100 on eBay (says it’s new in box) and being my first soundbar ever, I hope this remedies the sound issue until I can upgrade the TV. I’m not an audiophile, just want clear balanced sound. My TV does have something called eARC whatever that is… my question is should I use the included optical cable that Bose gives you or buy an HDMI cable? Can I use any HDMI cable I have or is it an audio HDMI? Thank you in advance for any response
