    Damn, this man makes a lot of sense, especially in this day and age. Despite his age, he had a lot of progressive ideas. Watching earlier footage, he spoke a lot about the future of Singapore and how it would prosper with it's economy, education, technology. He seems to concentrate on the finer details of running a tight ship. But, in a good way.
    As they say, get the little things right first, everything else will take care of itself.

      Many rich old timers were reduced in their wealth and their descendants are suffering for LKY's gain of his personal wealth! Please check it up. Simei, Yishun, Angullia Park .......
      Low Tia Kiang mentioned: "It was on the sacrifice of the people of Singapore that the modern Singapore is built on!"
      Let's not forget the goodness of the Singaporeans who sacrificed their personal wealth for the sake of the nation.

    • @jessiejames7492

      and you? if youre not singaporean you wont understand . if you are youre one of those who benefited. just look around...schools, running water, education , roads, food, children who can go to kindergarten, supermarkets with food galore and much more...clean air , good efficient transport, peace and free from the likes suffered by our neigbb ouring countries and even a job you have you need to thank the old govt for. YOu dont understand ...all those born in the 80s on wards had it easy.

    • @jeangian1781
      @jeangian1781 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      I think the numerous Singaporeans who sacrificed for the sake of the nation are the ones to be honoured, NOT LKY & KGC alone!
      GKS, TCC, LKS were the great minds behind the success of SG nation building program. One man and his wife cannot be the only credit to the achievements of SG! Mind you, LKY & KGC were lawyers who knew how to manipulate the law, not economics! They consulted economists, bankers, engineers for building the hard and organic infrastructures. Who pays for all these?
      Please do not be misled, neither mislead the younger generation of the success of SG!
      Operation Coldstore 1963, Marxism Conspiracy 1987 and the British declassified have clearly shown proofs of a demeaning and unscrupulous LKY. Why aren't you convinced?
      The victims were wrongfully detained and exiled under ISA. Lim Chin Siong, Fang Shaung Shui, Lim Hock Siew, Chia Thye Poh, Vincent Cheng, Teo Soh Lung and many others....Their innocence could never be restituted by the dictator!
      The massive development funds, lawyer fees, land acquisition costs have gone into the coffers as well as LKY's pockets.
      Do we owe him anything? His offsprings are enjoying his wealth now. So, do I have to feel indebted to LKY & KGC alone? Definitely not!

    • @jeangian1781
      @jeangian1781 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      With contribution from good and dedicated fellow Sporeans as leaders, SG can prosper to even greater heights! Why must it be PAP only?
      Opposition members also have intelligent & good people from whom the SG people can count on.

      jessie james Please wake up! Before LKY came into power, was there a population problem? Was there any difficulty in raising a family?
      The population increased due to post war conditions. British army and industries pulled out of SG due to its independence! Who to blame?
      Why aging population problem now?Not enough babies produced in the 70s & 80s to replace the post war baby boom!
      Get your facts and history right, please! Stop worshipping LKY like God! He is evil!
