There's no shame in saying your camera just "looks better" with a matte box. That's exactly why we bought ours for both our 6K Pro's haha we've definitely run into those clients on set, where we show up with our BMPCC 6K Pro's and they go "that's it? That's the camera?" It's SO silly, that people think a big camera means quality but for only a hundred bucks, it's a price we're willing to pay haha
However having a huge mattebox on your rig in a situation where none is needed or having a crappy 10 dollar mattebox where light still can hit the lens through all the holes left open, looks even dumber because then you look like a wannabee. And if you are a real videographer with gigs on locations, then you will soon find that "less is more" and I don't care how my equipment looks. Does anyone else have trouble sliding in 4x4 filters? I seem to get a lot of resistance trying to get them in and out

Hey, what about when focusing and then the lens moves back and forward? As I´m trying to support the mattebox and not only the lens, otherwise it´ll take more time when changing lenses. What'd be the solution? Thanks!

Wish you demonstrated the rod option (why is your rod not aligned? ) , because this option allow you to change lens without detaching & re-attaching the matte box, would love to see how it works, but you skipped it : (
does the mini matte box allow you to hold multiple filters? would you recommend this lightweight or the mini? i'm shooting on a blackmagic 6k pro with built in nd. so not sure if i need multiple slots for multiple filters. thoughts?

Anyone have any solutions when using the lens rings with lenses that the front barrel moves when focusing? When everything is locked in with the Rod Support you can't focus these kinds of lenses...
Support the lens and not the matte box.
You mention that you can use 4x4 filters, How you do that?

I'm upgrading from the Tilta matte box mini but wondering if I need to go as bit as this or if the smallrig matte box mini will do the trick as the biggest filter thread I'll have for some time is 95mm...

Quick question, could you still have a filter mounted on a lens with the mattebox and ND over it?
Yep. Should work as long as it's a matching thread size with the given adapters.
@@guptageneralstores5243 How would this work with an ND Filter? I'm shooting a lot close to 4pm - Golden Light outdoors and I am really wanting to use three filters. My pro-mist filter, my variable ND filter and a circular polarizer. Just wondering how a setup like this would work. I will be using two main lenses, a sigma 18-35mm and a laowa 9mm.

I use the mini matte box and use screw in filers at the same time.
