I wish there was an option for rods for this one. I got it for a year or so and I keep retightening the matte box screw because it wants to fall off. Apart from this, I love it. Also, I am unable to balance the tampon 35-150 with my ronin rs2 with the matte box on it. It balances with all my other lenses though.
I need help. I have a Sony A9 and a Tamron 17-28mm lens and I’ve tried multiple variable ND filters but get a lot of vignette even at the 22mm focal distance. What filter do you recommend? I’ve tried larger filters with step down rings but want a system that would work with my lens. I’m open to larger square ND filters and it doesn’t have to be variable. I’m shooting only video outdoors in mostly bright light. Thank you.
Won’t even work with the RS3 pro. Have the Nikon z 24-120 f4, everything balanced perfectly and after calibration the ronin just vibrates like crazy and I have to turn it off. Take the matte box off, balance it and it works fine. Not sure if there could be a solution to this. I’m even using the small rig one which is smaller than the nisi
Question... Is it worth shooting f4 for the OSS? or... more worth it if I shoot f2.8 or lower for better Image quality and low light performance? A7IV wedding videographer
The wider the aperture the better the low light performance especially for wedding receptions in darker environment. Also F 2.8 would create smooth bokeh for capturing those candid moments having the subjects in focus or even close ups like ring exchange etc. The F4 would be a great choice for landscape and product photography where you need more of your scene in focus. Just my two bits. Hope it helps. 😃
Wider aperture is also super helpful when shooting with Sonys S-Log and similar log profiles where you need to overexpose by about 2 stops while keeping the dual band ISO at its lowest.
How did I know #4 was "look cool?" Anyway, cool gadget. Not something for me using smartphones, but I understand the purpose of them better. They seemed to have just appeared out of nowhere and lots of people using them.

Great video. However, how do you add flags to the side of the matte box?
Stacking ND Filters… what is the point of the variable ND if you already have one on the matte box.
Sometimes lights can be so bright, you run out of stops on your ND filter. Happened to me before shooting at noon in Australia.

The filters are great. I switched all my filters over to NiSi recently.

I'm guessing this would be too heavy for the DJI RS 3 Mini while using a 24-70 or 16-35 f2.8?

Better go with RS2 or RS3 Pro because they are stronger than RS3
i can solve all of these with a variable nd, a sun shade and a uv filter

I’ve used packs from Motion VFX in the past. Otherwise I use google maps.
