tbis is no joke, this pagers and other electronic devices explode while around civilians, in grocery stores, while picking kids from school, school driving. Plus even if you are a combatant there is rules of war, clearly people in the US don’t have the knowledge including the people in leadership.

@@Evan-rm3zmyou realize Hezbollah members don't just sit around all day in their Hezbollah hideouts, right? 🙄 They drive places, sit on buses, wait in lines at the super market or bank, etc. There was a LOT of collateral damage of innocent ppl who just by chance were by the beeper owner when they went off, whether it's bc they happened to be crossing the street at the same time, or bc it killed someone in the middle of driving and that left the car to just plow into other cars and ppl.
From what I can tell, they had no way to make sure all the rigged pagers even went to Hezbollah operatives as doctors and nurses still use pagers today. It's an act of terror, and it's a war crime, period.

Dr. Parsi seems more than a little biased. For instance, he starts off talking about the percentage of projectiles/missiles fired from each side between Lebanon and Israel, without talking about who initiated the exchange. For instance, if Lebanese forces fire a missile across the border, and Israel responds by firing 4 missiles back, then Israel fired 80% of the projectiles. But does that make them guilty? No. Not if they didn't fire the first shot. There is nothing wrong with responding in force against an attacker. That's just standard warfare.
Second, he's talking about how the pager bombs would be called "terrorism" if they were directed against the US or Israel. I agree a tiny bit, because of the foreseeable likelihood of serious collateral damage, but I don't agree overall because terrorism is generally targeted at non-combatants. This attack was targeted directly at Hezbollah leaders and facilitators. Those are combatants. It was definitely clandestine, but that doesn't automatically make it terrorism. This is not so different from targeting military officers during a firefight.
Bottom line is, Israel's neighbors have been harassing and attacking them for more than 75 years, pretty much non-stop, and they have never had any qualms about targeting civilians and using the most inhumane tactics. They don't get to cry foul when Israel hits them back.

@Billy-bc8pk Look up the definition of terrorism. This isn't it. This would be terrorism if the pagers were sold to everyone indiscriminately. This specifically targeted members of Hezbollah, aka combatants. Not civilians. It would be extremely hard to qualify an attack against specifically combatants as terrorism. Clandestine? Yes.
Among Iranians Trita Parsi is hated for lobbying for Islamic Republic but unfortunately, in Western media he is considered to be an intellectual. During the uprising of Iranian people against the government he was hiding for months. Now he is resurfacing. There are many, many pictures of him rubbing shoulders with the criminals in Tehran. They drive places, take buses, wait in line to buy groceries etc. How would you feel if your wife, or dad, or kid just happened to be standing in line at the super market behind someone with one of those pagers when it exploded and had their arm torn off or worse, died? Bc THAT'S what happened all over, and that is why it's an act of terror and a war crime that Israel just committed. They knew that kind of thing would happen and they did not care.
