Thx for yet another great video. I occasionally repair mowers for friends and neighbours and overfilling oil on a B&S motor is common. One thing I notice too often though is that the dipstick is hard to read. It is made of cheap plastic and it is not always obvious from the dipstick where exactly the oil level is. Very annoying.
I hear ya. Sometimes it takes a few tries to make sure you have an accurate reading. Thanks for watching and taking the time to leave a comment. Cheers
I don't have a video on how to clean the mower. I just use soapy water to clean and ATF to shine them up. As for adjusting the oil, here is a video on how to change the oil. Cheers th-cam.com/video/aA0PHz74ps0/w-d-xo.html
I just got a free lawnmower with same problem and there was a quart of oil in it . there was oil coming out of the exhaust ,the air cleaner and it was hydro locked and all it needed was a new air filter and the spark plug cleaned .
I see this many times per year and it's completely preventable. Crazy what I see people throw stuff out for. Good for me though. Thanks for watching and taking the time to leave a comment. Cheers
Bryant oil gushes out of the black tube going into carborator no oil coming from anywhere else. And dies and no oil on dipstick after putting in oil . What could it be? Also blows out muffler
Have you tipped over your mower recently? This might cause it. Also, check out this video. It might help. Cheers th-cam.com/video/WnkVnRL9a9I/w-d-xo.html
@@JoeKubena if you tip it the wrong way, it could cause your problem. If this is it, just make sure oil is at proper level, run it with the air filter off in a clean space until oil burns off the muffler and stops coming out of the breather tube. It won't hurt it. Then replace the air filter if necessary. Hope this helps. Cheers
I disagree. I'd take a 15-20 year old Craftsman that has been taken care of over the junk they produce nowadays. But everything was just made better then. Thanks for watching. Cheers
Amazing how little people educate themselves on a simple routine maintainence item, thanks for posting and showing what else causes leaks
My pleasure. Thanks for watching and taking the time to leave a comment. Cheers

Hi Gerry , I just subscribed to your channel and i live in USA in Massachusetts .. I took up repairing lawn mowers as a hobby too... Nice videos !!!
Thanks. Hopefully you find some good tips. Cheers
Great video and explanation!
Glad you enjoyed it. Thanks for watching and taking the time to leave a comment. Cheers
That was probably a sit behind the desk office worker type person's lawn mower of course not mechanically inclined. LOL! LOL! LOL!
No doubt. Thanks for watching and taking the time to leave a comment. Cheers
This mower was a “gimme “. Shame on the throwaway society. I haven’t paid for my last 6 mowers. Sold 3, kept 3.
I sell between 30 and 60 used mowers per year that I get for free or very cheap like the one in this video. It's amazing what people will throw away
Do you have a video on how to clean up the lawnmower? and how to drain when over filled?

Do you have any videos regarding 49" kawasaki motor leeks oil😅
Sorry, no I don't. I have one on a Briggs from a John Deere tractor. It gives ideas on what it could be.

Can’t beat the older b/s engine
Definitely my favourite of all time. Very reliable and easy to work on. Thanks for taking the time to leave a comment. Cheers

I've got another one in my garage in the cue. Only difference is the oil on the deck is 2-stroke oil 🙄🙄
Please show how you changed the oil.

Great video. But all craftsman mowers are like a wet turd. They stink. The worst of mowers. But thanks for your knowledge.👍

@@brantsmallenginerepairs Yes, 20+ year old ones are great. Bought mine in 1994. Just perform regular maintenance each mowing season!
