Jim I take my hat off cause you have brought this detailing proffession to a new different level. Congratulations on your achievements jim. It definitely served a purpose you working on weekends with your father. You have definitely understood the level of attention detailing needed to go from a wash and wax into something definitely out something needed more precision and understanding. Thanks again Jim I wish you the best. From a weekend warrior that likes to keep his car looking good.
Wow what a video!! Amazing. Mr Kellys is awesome and so is his shop. I have had some great talks with him at MTE. It was an honor and pleasure. Cheers and thank you!
What a great video Jim! I am a big fan of Lake Country and its so refreshing to see a detailing brand so passionate about the trade. Kelly is a great guy with so much knowledge!
Really enjoyed this series Jim. Its been the best from me to you series, hands down. I'd love to be trained by Kelly. There really is no substitute for experience and he has it in abundance. He's what we'd call in my environment an SME (Subject Matter Expert) based off of his body shop and detailing knowledge.
Really enjoyed that Jim , I was a spray painter , stove enameller and powder coater for 17 years and it brought back a lot of memories, watching you learn . I remember Kellys epic wet sanding threads on Detailing World over 10 years ago, before that even became a thing and now a legend in the industry, can't wait for the next episode. 👍 👍 👏 👏
I've been a painter and a detailer for over 46 years and the products have changed , so you have to keep your eye on the ball . Its nice to see you can apprieciate what we painters go through . Great vid . Perfection is mind blowing !!!!!! lol
Really enjoyed the insight from this video. Its a brilliant reminder how much great knowledge is out there in the UK industry. Your idea of a training type day sounds great as well!
This was a nice refreshing video Jim :) If you're not uploading a video anymore this year then have a wonderful Christmas and a happy new year! Looking forward to watching more videos of you in 2022
Brilliant video Jim. No matter how good a detailer someone is, there is always room for improvement which is shown in this! I’d be definitely up for a training session to keep learning 👍🏼
i would love to attend a training day at white details with you and Kelly! Bloopers where so funny, it would be great to have a few of them in your regular videos jim
Really enjoyed this Jim. I've been watching Kelly for a while now and learnt a lot from his recent series on the mullered Honda Civic.... as you say though everyday is a school day and whatever our career or our passion and pastime we can always learn. As for training.... I think that could be a splendid idea you might end up with a queue going off to Lincoln though...
Jim you already do top notch work, getting with Kelly will just add some things you might not have done before and can now implement. Like myself(Retired now) I remember when you had burnout and went to New Zealand for a break as doing high level correction work alone(Which I mostly did as had help at times through the years on occasion) is really taxing and only someone with no comprise understands that. All the best young man you are one of the best.
Jim. I think you’re going to be overwhelmed by how many of us would love to come and do a training session. If you have OCD coursing through your veins, then having people such as yourself and Kelly guiding us is pretty much nirvana!
Always remember KDS detailing from back in the day as I'm sure they were based near Lepsons (who did plenty of wheels for me back then).. Great content.
Still stand by the fact that really need to know the backdrop of how paint works to be bang on when it comes to achieving a finish. Fantastic video as per usual 👍
Great to see you having a go at paint spraying I've been painting for over thirty years,. The painting is the easy bit, the hard bit is working for body shops and the small amount of time you get to do the job right, always chasing hours. Love the channel I have learnt so mush from you thanks
similar background to Kelly. I have been painting cars for nearly 40 years, and I am still restoring classic and historic cars. I think a day with Kelly would be interesting.
That was really great Jim. Always interesting for us armchair viewers to see different setups, and how a business owner grows his business and how it changes over time. The painting process was very, very interesting. And credit to you for allowing others in the industry introduce themselves. I think your own training product would be very well supported, and would obviously give some variety to the work month and some workday interaction, which I'm sure would be welcome to a sole trader. Something tells me that upon returning back to base, you were looking at your yard and thinking "suppose I was to build out over this area ... ". I know I would have been :-) And the great thing with your business is that ICE or EV, there will always be demand for your services.
Fantastic video Jim great that you came down south I've always been interested in KDS which is just up the road from me and I mean just up the road and put a name to the face of Kelly Harris now I know with take the car too in a couple of years time as a lot of us guys that can home detail I always believe that every couple of years you should take it to a professional and pay at the money there's only so much that a home detailer can do and let Kelly and his boys work their magic once again thanks Jim wax on wax off😎
This was absolutely brilliant Jim! I am 10,000,000,000.00% interested in the trainings and a “You 2 Me” training would be absolutely ultra-mega-giga-super-duper-amazing!!! 👌🏻🤩👍🏻
Thoroughly enjoyed this Jim, thank you. Something different and a day with yourself and Kelly Harris @ WhiteDetails would be fantastic. Would it be aimed at all levels of experience?
Absolutely great video! Different but I’ve liked it a lot. I’m from Sweden, but I would love to be in a training day at your shop. Would love to know more about Kelly Harris training program for professional Detailers. Thanks for your hard work Jim! Your are the man 🙌🏻
Great video. Brilliant that you took yourself out of your comfort zone and challenged yourself. Im sure there are loads of different processes employed in detailing and your methods in precious videos and results speak for themselves. Keep up the great work and enjoy the journey. Ps I think Jim will be looking at some new camera equipment for xmas 😂😂
Awesome video and something different. Great to watch and amazing process. Was good to see you feeling exposed when learning to shoot clear, like me when I try to replicate your detailing expertise. Good content.
Hi Jim, I really enjoyed this episode. I'm an elektromechanical engineer myself (or almost still a student), detailing as a hobby, and actually thinking about starting my own detailing business one day. I'm always looking for new things to learn about detailing, and I'm struggling to find information that really goes down the rabbit hole so to speak. I would love to attend live training sessions, with you, Kelly or both! Looking forward for the next episode on that Aston Martin, as well as the episode on the cayman with that stunning purple colour! Enjoy the holidays Jim!
42 minutes went past way too quickly!! Fantastic insight into the painting process and how much it is underappreciated as a skill! Had to laugh at the blooper reel (particularly your own section at the very end), purely because of the first video I ever made - I spent 3.5 hours in the garage talking to the camera and ended up with about 25 seconds of non-babble!!! To this day, 14 months later, I still can't talk directly to the camera!! People underestimate just how hard that can be!!
Jim I’m just a weekend warrior with a passion for detail. I would love to enhance what I do with a professional. So would certainly love to be part of a training class
As a newb to all things detailing, this vlog delivered a fantastic insight. I’d be really interested in shooting over to your place in Linc’s Jim, relatively close for me being in Leicester 👍
Former employee, takes credit for work he didn’t do himself. The guy can’t even paint himself! Never has been able to as in the video Kelly saying about spraying a side of a transit or a VW transporter next video then Kelly would love to see that I have got to the point now I have to air my view as all the paintwork 7 years ago was what I painted even the enzo I done just fed up with him taking the credit for something he hasn’t done Wait for his reply people it will be like borris Johnson lies and more lies
Jim and Kelly are masters of their craft. It's an absolute pleasure watching them work. Cheers from the US.

What a great video Jim! I am a big fan of Lake Country and its so refreshing to see a detailing brand so passionate about the trade. Kelly is a great guy with so much knowledge!
Great Video Jim - it was a fun couple of days!
Wow what a great video!
Fantastic to see the enthusiasm and energy of two consummate professionals. Top top content Jim👍
Great to see you on the day Jim! Great video as always! See you in 2022
A training day/meet with yourself and kelly would be awesome👌🏻
Brilliant - nice change of scenery.. who better to learn from, Kelly is a master of his craft.
Sanding panels after painting was and is normal it’s called flat and polishing wet sanding it’s just a pimped up name for detailers 🙄
I really enjoyed watching this video. Thank you,
Fantastic video Jim. Loved watching that. Looked like an amazing experience. Thanks. Michael
I've been a painter and a detailer for over 46 years and the products have changed , so you have to keep your eye on the ball . Its nice to see you can apprieciate what we painters go through . Great vid . Perfection is mind blowing !!!!!! lol
Many people wont know because hes not as much in the lime light but I would regards Kelly as one of if not the best detailer in the world.
Hola ! Muy buenos videos . Saludos uruguay
Such a cool episode, always good to understand other people's challenges....
Two detailing legends ❤️
This was wonderful. I used to endlessly scroll through Kelly's Detailingworld threads when I got my first car.
Really enjoyed the insight from this video. Its a brilliant reminder how much great knowledge is out there in the UK industry. Your idea of a training type day sounds great as well!
This looks like a lot of fun to go thru, actually....great job, Jim! Thanks for showing this to us!
great video!
That was very interesting and as always a great presentation a day like this would be priceless .Have a great Christmas.

That shop is incredible! I think it would be worth it to fly 1000's of miles to train with Kelly.
Brilliant video Jim.
No matter how good a detailer someone is, there is always room for improvement which is shown in this!
I’d be definitely up for a training session to keep learning 👍🏼

Brilliant brilliant episode Jim !!! can't wait for episode 2 !!!
Really enjoyed this Jim.

Nice to see you out of the den for once 😉. Great episode.

Jim. I think you’re going to be overwhelmed by how many of us would love to come and do a training session.

Appreciate this video you're the best detailer on TH-cam keep it up
Always remember KDS detailing from back in the day as I'm sure they were based near Lepsons (who did plenty of wheels for me back then).. Great content.
Still stand by the fact that really need to know the backdrop of how paint works to be bang on when it comes to achieving a finish. Fantastic video as per usual 👍
Achieving a finish is down to to the painter putting the paint on not the paint
@@paulmissons9988 absolutely. Different pressure, nozzles and application is obviously going to determine the finish
I think a day with Kelly would be interesting.
look forward to a training day at your location
Training day would be an awesome day I’d would most definitely be interested in this
fascinating. Would love to have a go at the painting.

This was a great watch. Great to see Kelly from KDS and all the work he does.
Would definitely be interested! Always willing to learn the white way
Great content as always. I've had the pleasure of meeting Kelly and having KDS detail one of my cars.
This was absolutely brilliant Jim! I am 10,000,000,000.00% interested in the trainings and a “You 2 Me” training would be absolutely ultra-mega-giga-super-duper-amazing!!! 👌🏻🤩👍🏻
Very informative in all things paint wise etc. Though no matter how good the painter or finish "white details" always takes it to the next level!!
Epic Jim, great to see something truely exceptional behind the science so to speak. Looking forward to part 2. Cheers Jim great stuff mate 👍
I'm sure he came in to do a speech / presentation when i was at college doing my paint course like 10 years ago! 😄

Hi James I wood love to come to training day. But I have CANCER I don't work but love car cleaning and all things to do with it.at your centre.
And with you only being an hour up the road it would be perfect to have somewhere to train that’s local.
I would like to go on training here. How does it work, who do I contact?
Does he not paint cars as a separate side to the business ? His website make no mention of it.
I was the spray painter there I done all of the the cars posted
So no he doesn’t paint cars as he can’t
Trailing leads?
Former employee, takes credit for work he didn’t do himself. The guy can’t even paint himself! Never has been able to as in the video Kelly saying about spraying a side of a transit or a VW transporter next video then Kelly would love to see that

That was an awesome episode #1 !! Waiting 🕰 for #2
