A model this size is absolutely a candidate for priming with a rattle can, regardless of how much you love your airbrush. Can't deny the results though, amazing work!
Was about to suggest this. Models of this size usually demand rattle cans and washes. Then you can spend more time doing the detail work. Otherwise, it's like trying to paint a land raider with a 20/0 line brush lol 😄

I love the orange eyes, and the details in them (would that be called specular highlights?). Amazing over all, but that was the one detail that really grabbed me.

Besides, as I’m sure you’re aware at some point you look at your pledge, and just have to say, “Stop, you need to buy food this month too!” Love that I got to see what a true artist was able to do with it, bravo!
to get the giant of a kit built in that time ,people might say easy but for some only if all your paints are all planned out and you know what paint and technique your going to use maybe but great work and sharing all your great work with us all keep it up .
Extremely impressive and great to see you working on a larger scale. I predominantly work 1/6 up to 1/1 but I find that so much of what you teach me in mini scale is transferable to my preferred scale. This upload was the best of both worlds. Thank you so much

i really appreciate the time you put in to this but i feel like you did the texture of the sculpt a disservice, maybe you could have done more dry brushing instead of doing glazing and airbrushing at the end. it might just be how it looks on camera :s Keep up the good work. also the water looks really good!

It's a massive project for 24 hours, I'm planning about two weeks. Nice idea with the LEDs in the carvings too. I'm planning on painting the sea behind him with reds and deep resin to make a sea of blood... maybe have him holding an old sailboat or something too. High varnish on the legs and tentacles to create a wet look. Anyway, Impressive work, thank you!

"Viridius, Great Dragon" by Reaper, as a Blue dragon. Complete with a "mad cow" like dragon disease with green resin oozing out of eyes, nose, and mouth.
I've painted a few 1/4-scale figures, so around 18" - I also have a 3ft long 3D printed starship model, with fully detailed interior that has been sat assembled and primed for almost a year now; I'm just procrastinating starting painting it as I can't settle on a colour scheme and I know it's going to take weeks!

Achaha :D The struggle of big minis :D I have a side hustle where I make display minis for people. Like. Big ones :D I mean 30-40cm high minis :D I have recently painted Malenia. It took me 47 hours :D This mini is ginormous. Och gosh I wish I'd never have to go this big. My mini size is also fairly big and takes FOREVER :D
The Game Steward would provide folks a way to access the 2nd version of this mini a a pre-order for less than they cost on the market now but you have to wait for it.

Homemade, kit-bashed Squiggoths! Used some toy dinosaur kits I found. Each one is about 10" long from head to tail.
