Where did you source the downward spraying irrigation fittings? Btw the thing that makes threads is called a tap. The die is the other part you can repair/cut threads on a bolt with.
Great video. Where do you buy your sprinkler heads? And what size(s) are they to fit the measurements of the hole you're drilling? And can you tell us more about how to choose the sprinkler heads please - like where to find info about the choices of directions they'll spray.
Okay. I should have explained them in more detail. Another video perhaps! I purchase them at either Home depot or Amazon or commercial irrigation store. I will elaborate in a video
It doesn't matter..the only thing i look out for is if the sprinkler is dripping into the crown of the plant after water is off. Other than that, everything is watered as if it was raining on them.
Mainly Vandas Thanks for the reply! I am new to Vandas. I have 4 plants. Any advice or info is GREATLY appreciated!! Your collection is AMAZING! What is the best thing to do to deal with spots on leaves?
Thanks for the videos! Couple of questions -- are you using regular tap water as opposed to going through an RO or other purification system? Second -- regarding the placement of the piping, my understanding is that it is not ideal to place the heads directly over the vandas due to water collecting in the crown. Seems you're not at all worried about that, so I was just wondering if you treated the water somehow to account for that or if the climate simply evaporates the water in the crown quick enough. Great content, really helpful!
I spray regularly with fungicides so Crown rot rarely happens. I use just plain tap water. I guess where I live the water is good quality. Because some of my friends who live in different parts of the state have to use filters
Please upload more videos I really find them really informative.😀
thanks! :)
very interesting, that sure would cut down on my work load! excellent video
Thanks to sharing with us ,I love your channel, sincerely appreciate your help.

Stewart, where ya been! Miss your videos!
Hope life is good and you’re just enjoying life!
Hope to see you soon!
Thanks! :) I will post something soon!
I must say, that qualifies as cheap and easy. 😀
You have quite a collection how many vandas do you have
Oh lost count a while back lol
i heard your not supposed to get the orchid flowers wet. is that true?
Is it just preference for you to use PVC instead of black polypipe which is much easier to punch holes and manipulate ? (Hendrika)
I double up the PVC as a place to hang my plants, so the poly pipe wont hold
Do you strategically place the Vandas so the flowers don’t get wet? Or does it matter?

What level of shade cloth do you find your orchids do well with 70%, 60% ?
