Hi, thanks for the video. what is the product from the natural wood floor company please?I've managed to identify the others but I just can't tell what that is. I can't even find it on their website . thank you
@@Ermes12FloorSander Ohh thank you, i have an old floor and a subfloor that is made of planks and it squeaks. Will nailing the floor through the subfloor and to the joists stop the squeak, then punch them in as you are saying. and refinish the floor will I see anything? in yours do you see anything after you punch them and fill it? or you see it only if you pay attention? do you have a close up.
@@Ermes12FloorSander do you sand with same grit as before? (I.e 24 grit up to 120) or do you only require a higher grit for 1 pass (I.e 1 pass with 120 grit). Cheers
I have a floor from 60's much worse than these. Some spaces bigger than 5mm. Would you recommend to inject something to this bigger gaps or just pray that it will not crack or fall inside? Maybe it would be a good idea to move some of the boards, but I'm a bit afraid to look there..
Hi ,thank you for the coment . For biger gaps you can use wood strips to fill the big gaps and filler for the smaller ones .it would be an extra expense but cheaper then moving all the boards .
Yes, for reasons the wider spaces will fall. because pine wood changes shape over time. and filler doesn't stay long depends on how we treat our floor. example if by chance we often use water 💧. The floor will change shape more often. and the filler will fall off. I always explain to clients that the filler is not very long-lasting over time. before we proceed 😊
You may benifit from more ventilation .that way you don't get so stoned .maybe then you won't be so speedy.but the floor did look good. Somepeople sand accross the grain but your way seemed to work well .
The floor itself is an old pine floor that has matured but even so the filler itself its not strong enough to withstand the force of the wood thus if that happens the filler will either fall down or pop up ,so in the long run the filler will eventually fall .That's why we recommend best not to fill but some costumers want it even with the short life expectancy of 6 months to a year .
@@Ermes12FloorSander Thanks for following up. Makes a lot of sense. So you’d recommend just living with the gaps, or, as I’ve seen done elsewhere where the gaps are particularly large, pull them up, re-space them closer together and fill in the end with a reclaimed plank?
these procedures were used in this project is. first procedure to do is to punch the nails. and first procedure mashin hummel disc 24. then proceed with number 50. and finally use the disc 100. then also with the corners sand with Edger disc 24 then 50 and at the end use the Festool disc 80 for the corners. and the last procedure uses hand sand with paper -120 or paper -150. and the product to fill the gaps on the wooden floor is jenkins joint filler

@iancunicolae2626
If you punch and fill them you wont see the nails but you will see that is filled as it will look slightly a different colour .
No sanding after the filler???
yes you need to sand after
after applying the filter it is necessary to sand the floor
but the best thing is that it is better to leave the filler for 30 minutes to dry well, then after that I sand the floor again
Great video
Thanks
Thx! Greetings from Belgium

Did you do this upstairs as well where the floor had floor boards pulled out and white paint stains?

@Joe-Skier yes there is ,its called gap master and you apply it after the finish and wipe of exes with wet colth .

had a seizure from the rapid video.....
That looks like a pine floor not hardwood. Use pine slivers and clean out the gaps between the boards. Use loads of glue.
Thanks for the tip 👍👷♂️

the product name is jenkins joint filler
