      Don't worry about a car being slow. The EF is FUN TO DRIVE, has classic styling, and is quite reliable and easy to repair.

      90% of fairly new racers worry about power. Its a factor but not as much as you would think. If you want to go fast and drop your lap times dump most your money into suspention and brakes. I learned this when i started racing over 30 years ago. 👍

      @@jimhiscott2918 Tires make biggest initial difference but can wear out quickly, so budget wise I would agree with you because the mods should last longer so be a more worthwhile investment.

    Just picked up a 91 si from Dallas I’m actually building the motor as I watch this upload (rings and bearings and all the seals) nothing wild, watching you run around in this sedan is making me excited to get the motor back in and rip it . I’m use to b series power Ef’s but now that I’m getting older I’m wanting a nice d series with ac lol

      Depends on usage. The owner daily drives this car intermittently also. I've seen many B swapped cars that have a hard time keeping up with this thing.

      A '91 Si is plenty fun to drive, even with the stock motor. It's nice to be somewhat stock, if you want to be able to have a car repaired at any local mechanic without drawing them a picture.

    My 90 LX 5 speed is probably my all time favorite car even with the crappy cable clutch that never seemed to release at the same point. It was red with the gray interior and it took me everywhere. I put a tubular exhaust manifold on it and added a short throw shifter.

      What transmission? I had a B20 vtec and it would smoke the tires all the way to 60mph. I think it was a B16 transmission... 8,000 rpm at 60, in second gear. Mine was in a hatchback, and it was very fun to drive.

    This engine gets really good gas mileage too. I have one swapped into a '90 hatch, with a 5 speed, for just that purpose.

      Function Form Type 1's along with an ASR subframe/bar combo. Not sure if he has completed all of the suspension bushings though.

    You're bliping the throttle a little early, best way is to clutch in, neutral, blip the throttle and then downshift, one smooth action

    I have a Honda Civic LX 1991 color (black) recently replaced My battery , I started my car wrong & it stopped working so I bought a new battery thinking that was the problem I just turned 21 my dad gave me a awesome birthday gift for but I do not know how to take care of this car ! It’s difficult finding parts finding out what’s wrong with it might end up selling not to sure ! If I do I will invest into a bit of a newer year car around 2002 looking for $2,000

    I had my seatbelt do the samething years ago, turns out the unit behind the door panel that’s together with the door lock had fried itself lol I had to force the sliding buckle back into lock position lol

    Not sure if its in a video, but what connector piece is that on the intake arm from filter to throttle body? Trying to run something very similar on mine

      I think one he had custom built. You could use generic intake piping and do the same. I did that on my 91 Si with an SiR intake box.

      Martin Tire in Canutillo. Ask for the Jaime or Gustabo. If you're too low you won't be able to get onto their tire machine but they align all my cars for me. I just believe there's no warranty for a lowered car since I run negative camber. I'd suggest you make sure your suspension is set, all ball joints and bushings in great shape.

      I assume you have coilovers, strut tower bar and adjustable shocks already?

      Function Form Type 1 with ASR lower brace/bar and some sort of rear LCAs. Upgraded bushings at RTA also
