My skin is such that I need to moisturize it twice daily. I like using riceberry moisturizer by litllexttra. The feel of this face cream is perfect, not overly creamy but also not too liquidy. The hydration is excellent, with no discomfort or burning sensation, even on exfoliation days. A fantastic and affordable alternative to cerrave, with a real boost for the skin barrier for those incorporating retinoids. I apply it between layers of my riceberry sunscreen and face serum, and there’s absolutely no dryness. Oh, and it has no scent. Definitely 5 stars.

Dearest Cecil. Thank you so much for this amazing recipe. I have made it several times already and gave some for friends to try and now can't keep up. Everyone just loves it.
I couldn't get Cranberry oil and replaced it with Rosehip oil and also replaced the Boabab oil with Maracuja oil and it's an absolute winner.

Hello Ms Esther, how are you doing? Why did you suggest not using the homemade cucumber juice Ma’am if one is going to sell it? For myself and products, I’ve never switched out any of my natural ingredients because I’m selling it. As long as I use my food grade preservative I’ve not yet had any problems or complaints. People love that natural fresh ingredients were used.
I thank you for enlightening TH-cam even more with your DIY recipes. Take care 🌹🙏🏽🥰
If you haven’t done so yet, have you thought of doing a Patreon channel? This is my first time on in several weeks and I looked for you first🥰

Oh dear thank you so much for watching the video and for asking about me. I am well. I hope you are well too. Thank you for the continued support to the channel.
I do actually have a Patreon site but I have not uploaded any video on it. I will upload the first video this week, though I do not have any Patreons as yet.
Concerning the cream, I have been using this cream with fresh cucumber juice for quite some time and have never had any problems. I have also been able to store it for up to a year without any problems (I am not sure if the quality is different if it is stored for more than a year).
I just said that to be on the safe side, in case anyone wants to sell it and keep it for longer than a year.
When friends of mine order the cream, they actually prefer the recipe shown in the video with fresh cucumber juice.
      Sending you Love and Blessings❤️🙏🏾

    • @cecilvig
      @cecilvig  ปีที่แล้ว +1

Dear a pH of around 4.75 to 5.5 is the perfect pH for face and body creams and lotions.
If you wish to raise it to 5.5 (which in my opinion is not necessary) then add 0.04 g of citric acid to a 100 % formula mix well and test the pH value agin. Please do not add more than 0.04 g, else you may raise it higher than required, and may be forced to lower again.

When choosing an emulsifier for your formulation, bear in mind that each emulsifier has a best working (and stability) pH range. Deviation from that pH causes instability, changes in viscosity, texture or appearance. You need to particularly think about your product's pH as you plan for your emulsifier, preservative and active ingredients.

Wow, welcome to the formulating universe😊how exciting🤗. I promise you, once you start, you cannot stop. It is very addictive.
Dear, what is the name of your emulsifying wax? There are hundreds of emulsifying waxes out there. Some are good for creams, some for lotions, some for gels and the list goes on.
Some look like corn flakes in form, others like beeswax, some are watery and some come in powdered form.

You lower it with citric acid. Add just a pinch of the citric acid, mix, then test the pH again to see if you have reached the desired pH. If not, continue like this till you get the required pH value

A good replacement for Baobab Oil is Safflower Oil, it is quick to absorb and is non-comedogenic.
It also helps repair the skin’s barrier to protect it from environmental damage.
