Sadly we won't see Legion or EDI in any further Mass Effect game (except they plot-revive them), as the most likely canon ending is the destruction of all synthetic life and AI using even fragments of Reaper programming (otherwise there would not be any Sherpard left).
Is the "destroy" ending the canon ending, really? You have the opportunity to safe an entire AI"race", your ship is an entire AI as well and developed an entire personality. Don't forget the mass effect gates which are necessary for a united galaxis, and get destroyed as well. I would asume that the syntetic ending would be the only logical ending (from a narrative perspective) Mass effect gates are not destroyed and co existence with AI and other speciese are now possible because every organic has now a part machine in it. Reapers will also never appear again because there is no "pure organic" that will evolve to big.
@@pizzamafioso9191 Synthesis disintegrates Shepard, Control turns Shepard into a Reaper or Starchild. Only destruction has the post credit scene, where you see a piece of an N7-Armor under some rubble and a sudden breath before it cuts to black.
Why are you under the assumption that that whatever ending Shep survives in is the canon one? They haven't decided, and i doubt they ever will decide, on a canon ending, but if they do i see no reason why that would be the one they'd go for.
@@Avatar2312 When you comment on someone you should not ignore 90% of the message ;) Him "breathing" in the end is not enough to make a canon ending. And besides: him surviving ANY of those 3 outcommes is BS. Up close explosion on a spacestation with no emergencie capsule is a death sentence. In the other 2 outcommes you could at least argue that his body is dead but his mind lifes on as some kind of signal. ME5 could start like this: A)Your crew was stranded on a long forgoten planet where they found stasis capsules. That way they could "sleep" till another species wakes them up. When they woke up the new cycle/aliens are so far ahead that they are able to download this "shepard signal" into a new body. Or B) The crew got hit by the explosion which resulted them landing in the Andromeda Galaxi. I never played andromeda so i don't know much about Option B.
@@pizzamafioso9191 Sorry. I overlooked the "read more" If your warscore is high and you pick the destroy ending, the gates are damaged, but can be repaired as explained in the ending (also we already got artwork of an Alliance Mass Effect gate under construction). Also the teaser for ME5 shows Liara finding fragments of Shepards body-armor (apparently the one you see at the "breathing"-scene) on an ice-planet, you see a defunct gate sourrounded by ship debries including at least one Alliance cruiser and a crashed Reaper in the background on the planet. Also none of the other endings would make sense as they are portraying a future narrated by Shepard or picturing the unification of all organic and synthetic (with visuals contradicting Liaras appearance in the teaser), while the destroy ending let Hackett do the talking. Also no matter the ending the extended cut shows the Normandy flying again if warscore was high enough.
It's so difficult for me not to take Javik everywhere I go, not only is he a pretty solid teammate, but he has some of the best commentary, it's really nice to know the little tidbits of information that you just wouldn't get otherwise. Jeff liked her before she got the body. The body just put a face and physical form to something he was already beginning to like. Are you aware that rewriting the Geth rather than destroying them in ME2 means that the Quarians will take greater losses in ME3? This causes you to gain fewer war assets even if you can still successfully make peace between the Geth and Quarians. Also it makes it harder to achieve peace in the first place. If you choose rewrite and then accidentally make even one other wrong decision you lose the ability to bring peace between them. Where as if you always choose destroy you can make other mistakes and still make peace.
You know what, nothing I did in Mass Effect 3 made any difference to anything. It didn't matter that I solved conflicts and united groups that were previously at war. None of the resources I gathered mattered either. None of it mattered at all. That was why the ending was so stupid.

@@phantomwraith1984 Even as a Paragon, that is one of the few Renegade choices that I'd acceptable. Along with Kei Lang's (which I don't understand why that one is considered renegade)
I would asume that the syntetic ending would be the only logical ending (from a narrative perspective)
Mass effect gates are not destroyed and co existence with AI and other speciese are now possible because every organic has now a part machine in it.
@@Avatar2312 When you comment on someone you should not ignore 90% of the message ;)
Him "breathing" in the end is not enough to make a canon ending. And besides: him surviving ANY of those 3 outcommes is BS. Up close explosion on a spacestation with no emergencie capsule is a death sentence.
In the other 2 outcommes you could at least argue that his body is dead but his mind lifes on as some kind of signal.
ME5 could start like this:
A)Your crew was stranded on a long forgoten planet where they found stasis capsules.
I overlooked the "read more"
If your warscore is high and you pick the destroy ending, the gates are damaged, but can be repaired as explained in the ending (also we already got artwork of an Alliance Mass Effect gate under construction).
EDI being so funny and nice made it choosing destroying the reapers hard because she would go down with them
When your Ai start making better quips and jokes about one another you know you built them well. Including Legion.
Ah, Sentinel Shepard, I see you too are a man of culture.
Well, EDI has Sovering computers...
Polonium rounds are illegal against organics? Too much has changed in the two years my infiltrator femShep was dead
It's so difficult for me not to take Javik everywhere I go, not only is he a pretty solid teammate, but he has some of the best commentary, it's really nice to know the little tidbits of information that you just wouldn't get otherwise. Him being a DLC was a very good move on bioware, for the most part he really does feel like he was organically part of the game originally, unlike kasumi and Zaeed.
He does! I never used him much before, but man is Javik awesome. The more you use him, the greater he is
That's because he was originally part of the game but striped out at the last minute as day one DLC for pure greed
Is that so? I don't remember him being available day 1. Even if it is true, it's almost like they didn't have a good enough reason for you to go to Eden Prime, kind of feels like an afterthought.
@@Alulucard He was awailable with preorders. You're the first person I've seen calling this a "good move", and not greedy bullshit. Which it was.
Also, I loved Kasumi and her mission. Now that's worth of a dlc.
@@Alulucard Yeah it's true
I've tried multiple combos but when it comes to fighting Synthetics a EDI & Tali team-up the best choice.
Epidermis means skin.
Shepard: But Legion, if EDI had artificial epidermis, wouldn't it have robbed her from freedom of unique design?"
SAM vs EDI confirmed fight ? 😂😂
I don't get alot of youtubers thinking edi was a great squad mate. I always thought she was the funniest character
Who wouldn't love a top-heavy android chick?
7:31-7:59 Gonna need some Medi-Gel for that one. EDI wins!
6:57 I couldn't look at Tali witnesing her eniter race get alialated and her comiting suicide because of it but man are the Quarians complete morons. If not for Tali I would've sided with the Geth and just let them die.
When you take legion to the overlord mission dr archer gets worried.
Do you have a video that tells you the best characters to take on specific missions? Not the best squad, but from a story point of view like this one with EDI?
Nope, not yet atleast :p
edi is my favourite character in the game
5:18
"Oi gal, ye got a loicense for that robot bodee?"
In before demand for argument scene between Legion and Joker fighting over EDI.
I just did that mission with tali and kaiden.. it was kind of unexpected.. a little dialog kind of meh... should of taken edi.. oh well
idk but i always picked up EDI for this mission, it's natural, like bringh Legion to quarian Ship in ME2. Peraps this choice unlock Quarian Flottilla in Me3.
Legion is the best character in the whole series :D
1:55 if EDI were to take over the Earth I think it'd resemble how she took over the Normandy, people would barely notice when things are going well
Why the heck would the ship even have corridors when the geth can just upload themselves to the ship and fly it that way?
They still would need ways to get mobile units from one area of the ship to another. What I always took this conversation to mean is that there aren't things like bedrooms, galleys, chairs, and other creature comforts organics need.
Only broom closets
Joker: hmm no windows
Man... When writing was on point ! Good Times.
God help the poor bastard who ever kills joker... EDI would be the literal AI version of thane. Just killing whole organizations and anyone connected to jokers killer. Just like thane did for his wife. Except EDI, is smarter, and way more lethal 💀 no offense to thane. RIP buddy 😔
Hearing that Polonium tipped rounds are illegal was somewhat disconserting, up until I realized I mostly used them against thorian creepers last night, so it's kind of fine. Those things were annoying.
Remember… The Citadel DLC didn’t mention Legion *once…*
Oh but Thane gets a funeral tho…
Yup, bringing Edi along in this run
2:55 I have a simple question, did the Geth agree to the "rules" of war at any time?
Quarian.
The auto translated:
Korean
Aquarian
Me: erm... Erm... Erm... 😅🤣😅🤣
Edit:
And I'm glad that with Synthesis ending back in the old mass effect trilogy... EDI gain true function as both synthetic and organic which is now also can probably able procreate with Jeff who has been head over heel to her from when she gain the hot sexy body...
Well I think she knew what Jeff's type is since Jeff is also love to visit the extranet that sometimes got sarcastically commented by EDI... 😅🤣...
Jeff liked her before she got the body. The body just put a face and physical form to something he was already beginning to like. They fought like an old married couple before because he was upset at a program trying to tell him how to run his ship, but EDI had already recognized his usefulness and didn't treat him like a dumb organic as he might of expected from a VI/AI.
@@vixxcelacea2778 in that case this bring a whole new level of why I love synthesis ending... My man got a serious brittle bkne disease. Probably would never be able to go have funs foe the rest of his life unlike the others... Probably will never be able to find chicks. And then fall in love to an AI which making synthesis ending giving him a new chance to start over a new life with EDI, who is now considered to be a person, able to be with Jefferson.
With synthesis... It is even more possible to get the understanding with new knowledge of a newly body function that consisting both organic and synthetic...
With such knowledge probably brittle bone disease can possibly be cured too...
Well... I mean they basically can bring back the dead in ME2 which is Shepard. So how much of a trouble would be for creating reproductive system, right?
Back in the days I willingly sacrificed the Quorians. It was bitter but now, over 10 years later, I still think it was the only moral option considering the unforgiving nature of the Quorians despite them beeing the unjust ones.
I wonder what EDI say if you take her with Admiral Xen.
Good question. I should have included that xD
@@MrHulthen poke me when you will do it plz
i like the banther between liara and thali, i thought it was because she was jelly. I romanced liara in the first game, and thali in second after all but maybe it was just a happy little accident and they allways banther on this mission.
Videos like these are nice, I always take Javik because he's my favorite and I paid $13 CAD for them on consoles twice

I would argue that every female character model in the ME series is top-heavy ... *ahem*

Is EDI really 'top heavy'?
I think she's perfectly balanced in all aspects
Ashley is a little more aggressive towards tali if you romanced Ash first and Tali second
I call bullshit on the fact that Edi cannot handle as much data as the Dreadnought handles...even though Edi flooded the Cerberus servers with 7 Zettabytes of porn
Also she is literally also comprised of Reaper tech too
I bet those Geth inside are thinking 'ah those organics would NEVER try the no-windows thing again!' XD
I can’t help but be skeptical even with Larian, my trust has been betrayed for too times in this industry
I do hate how I cannot order EDI to reinstall the skin and hair her body once had.
I'm so happy this happening my first playthrew
Talia in Legion make a good team one of the best their abilities complement each other
Until my day of reckoning🤣🤣🤣🤣
Legion really said top heavy
legion is such a good boy
Could someone please explain the "top-heavy" joke to me? English is not my first language
He was talking about her two mass effect cores located on the front of her chest, which moved the center of mass from the center closer to the head.

"top heavy" is a euphemism for having large breasts

I gotta admit, I did not see KEKW coming :D.
Did you used it have another channel that did gaming videos, because your voice sounds very familiar but I can't remember the name of the channel?

You know what, nothing I did in Mass Effect 3 made any difference to anything. It didn't matter that I solved conflicts and united groups that were previously at war. None of the resources I gathered mattered either. None of it mattered at all. That was why the ending was so stupid.
Legion. *Sniff.*
Thanks.
