I honestly believe that the reason they killed Donnie Yen's Snowman off camera is because no one would believe he could be killed by some rando reaper. Also, I don't know if anyone has mentioned it yet, but Donnie Yen was the fight choreographer for the movie.
Blade 2 was so good!! It was my favorite in the franchise. Wesley Snipes is a martial artist in real life and does his own stunts. When you said “Slash & Dash I’ll put a hole in your ass!” I was cracking up!! 😂😂😂
Prophetic is the right word. In Snipes own words from that movie..."The world has become a pussy-whipped version of itself". How true is THAT? Also I remember when Arnie ran for Governor of California, the first thing that came into my mind was the President of the United States joke from Demolition Man. I have never wished so hard for something from a movie to come true.
Damn I'm surprised no one told you that Blade will be in the MCU, played by Mahershala Ali, we're all hoping that Wesley gets a cameo. I personally want him to be Whistler but we shall see. Also Scud is played by Norman Reedus, his name in the Walking Dead is Daryl Dixon, his spinoff show had premiered too. Also check out Hellboy 1 & 2. Since u like Clay from SOA.

NUFF SAID.
CHAD, as you know him, is Ron Perlman. He is better known for playing HELLBOY, a Dark Horse Comics creation. Also was regarded as a b-list actor (though highly famous {don’t try to understand that logic} for that fact alone) along side other actors like Bruce Campbell (Evil Dead and Army of the Dead).
The reason he's classified as a b-tier actor is because a large sum of his work is in make up, or in science fiction movies. He also did a couple sci-fi channel originals back in the day.
I like the actor they chose for the new Blade they are/were working on but one of the reasons the original movies were so good was because Wesley Snipes is a legit martial artist and idk if Mahershala Ali can do all that
I'm a stage actor and recently had the privilege of working with a guy who helps train a lot of the marvel actors whose characters use blades, to learn how to fight. He is a master at the craft with 35-40 years of experience, Ali is in good hands.
I hope they do similar to Deadpool with blade where he's more of a spinoff character. Then they can make a bad ass R rated movie. Maybe a cameo here or there of some others but yea. Mcu getting too cute for blade to be involved lol. He's just too bad ass
Blade 2 is my favorite of the series!!! Ok, so watch The Boondock Saints for more Norman Reedus! Also, Donnie Yen is the kung fu master! Watch him in all of the Ip Man Movies!
Finally ..I couldn't wait. Blade is one of my favorite series. Luke Goss-Reaver and Ron Perlman-bomb device on back of head..these guys where in Hellboy together. Luke was Prince Nuada All star cast in this sequel.
Ron Perlman (Reidnhardt) is Hellboy did you know? He's also in the 4th movie of aliens with Sigourney Weaver. And Tony Curran (Priest) is in Underworld: Evolution.
Blade 2 was my favorite of the trilogy!!! Blade 1 was already dope and they just bumped it up even more in this one. The action, the premise, the villain! Blade teaming up with his most hated enemy to fight a creature more dangerous than them both? And that finale fight was epic! I liked how much Nomak actually posed a threat to Blade, and how Blade still pulled through. Amazing movie man! I have this up there with the best of them. The only nitpick you can really say about the movie is that we didn't get a better fight with Donnie Yen, but I get it (he has a bunch of movies you should check out too if you wanna step into the kung fu realm of cinema). This was probably his first mainstream American film though, so he wasn't gonna get much screen time unfortunately. I also heard he was the choreographer for the fight scenes in this movie, and if that's true, then maybe that had something to do with it. But other than that, the movie is still epic! And shoutout to Guillermo del Toro who directed this movie! He did the Hellboy movies too which is another good series you should check out. The guy from Sons of Anarchy, Ron Pearlman, plays him. The effects in this movie were great and still hold up very well. Especially the practical effects. They need to bring that back in movies.
The director, Guillermo Del Toro, notable for his unique monster design (Hellboy series, Pan's Labyrinth), also created a tv series 'The Strain' which featured a similar vampiric creatures like the Reapers 👍
Del torro had a awesome horror book series called the strain and wanted to make it into a live action series but was shut down by studios so when he made blade 2 he used some of the strain ideas in it and actually after got a green light for the strain tv series to be made ,it's awesome check it out when you have time
Men appreciate these films the most. We need more films like this. These films are meant for male leads. 9.5 and 10 out 10 for the second one. The best Marvel movies.
Wesley said he hadn't heard frm Marvel whn Mahershala got casted😢 The aint sht bc they could've done a father son or secret twin bro. Honor HipHop50 if u haven't seen Krush Groove and Beat Street
Funny part the guy who killed glenn is Negan.. my favorite character.. and he among daryl and a few others was the reason i watched Walking Dead till the end
The actor from The Walking Dead is Norman Reedus. His name is Daryl Dixon on The Walking Dead. I stopped watching after Glenn died as well. Winslor isn't affected by light because Blade healed him with the serum he injects himself with. This movie scared the sh*t out of me when I saw it in the theater.
I think blade and Deadpool would be a good matchup. Also the one guy is Ron Pearland. He is the voice on fallout about how war never changes. He also played hellboy. Another movie that u should see if u havnt. the original not the remake
I also stopped watching TWD when Glenn died. Shit broke my heart. But when i found out it was ending, i unfortunately re-watched that episode. But fortunately kept watching. Honestly after season 7 isn't that bad. I felt they dragged somethings out but it's worth it imo. Especially with few of the spinoffs we get from it
Hey bro i seen u were asking what should u watch next as far as a series i would recommend " winning time" the series talking about magic and larry bird and magic career with the lakers if you're a hoops fan
They did not utilize Donny Yen to his full potential in this film, which is a shame. Donny Yen SHOULD HAVE accompanied the girl Nissa, instead of the black guy Asad when they first approached Blade with the truce. That would have been an EPIC fight!
Not a lot of people remember this (or watched it), but there was a Blade tv series for one season. It starred Sticky Fingaz as Blade, and I remember thinking it was decent at the time. For Donnie Yen, at the time, he wasn't a recognizable star in the US, so when he was killed off early, nobody thought twice except for those of us who knew how Official Donnie Yen was.
To me that show started out very slow. I wasn't a fan. But by the end of the season I started to really enjoy it. It found itself midway or so. At least that what I remember thinking about the show.
I remember. It was on TV for a while. It came some years after the first movie. I watched bits and pieces of the series but never in full episodes. Can't remember what the plot was 😂
@@nitrokid yeah I don't remember any of the plot either. I just remember by the end of the first season being on board and looking forward to another season before it got cancelled.
Even less people remember the Anime. It was actually an ok show, a lot closer to the Marvel comics version of Blade. It also featured an episode with my main man Wolverine.
4:33 there was a blade video game on ps1 but it probably didn't age well 15:54 Donnie yen !! You should watch ip man series! 18:29 Blade could go against Morbius in the mcu

I honestly believe that the reason they killed Donnie Yen's Snowman off camera is because no one would believe he could be killed by some rando reaper.
Also, I don't know if anyone has mentioned it yet, but Donnie Yen was the fight choreographer for the movie.
(Which is the real reason they killed him. He had a lot to do.)
Blade also cured Whistler which is why the lights didn't affect him. That's why Blade said the shades are opening regardless if he's cured or not.
The new blade for the MCU is already in production. Is coming out next year and will tie in with the MCU
Blade 2 was so good!! It was my favorite in the franchise. Wesley Snipes is a martial artist in real life and does his own stunts. When you said “Slash & Dash I’ll put a hole in your ass!” I was cracking up!! 😂😂😂
In the comics Blade is part of the Midnight suns with Moonknight, Ghostrider and Wong among others
You will also like Wesley Snipes and Sylvester Stallone in Demolition Man. It's a very prophetic movie.

It would be great to see Snipes as Jamal Afari, Blades mentor in the comic
Dude, the idea of a new guy playing Blade, hard to imagine.
Well, they already had another actor play Blade, in the TV series. And that guy SUCKED.
Donnie Yen shouldn’t be known from John Wick.. He’s s legend of Hong Kong cinema.
