The stories about the making of this movie are very entertaining. Like they had to CGI Blade's eyeballs in one scene because Wesley Snipes wouldn't open his eyes.
Reportedly Snipes also resented having both Jessica Biel and Ryan Reynolds characters taking away some of the focus from Blade during the movie. All in all, this was one movie that Snipes did not want to film as it was also reported that the studio owed Snipes some unpaid money for his role in the movie that they either didn't pay or shorted him. Did you know there is an anime version of Blade? The anime version uses 3 deadly sword techniques for killing vampires. Its a movie about a superhero vampire fighting bloodthirsty vampires, you cant make this stuff for teenagers. Its the same mistake the Terminator franchise did, making it PG15, means less violence, less action, less gore, less swearing, less adult themes and it gets replaced with comedy and teen audiences, its not what Blade is about.

Wesley Snipes would spend most of his time in his trailer and a bunch of the scenes had to be shot from certain angles cause they had to use his stunt double to film a lot of the movie. That's why this movie looks off.

Yeah this one was definitely my least favorite of the trilogy by a mile. Its not the worst thing I've ever seen from Marvel, and it has a couple cool moments here and there, but overall this one was just not all that good. The action is worse, the Directing is worse, the story was worse, and I didn't particularly care for Dracula all that much. The addition of Jessica Biel and Ryan Reynolds wasn't good either. Especially Reynolds. I like him as Deadpool and all, but I don't think his type of humor worked well for Blade. There was a couple moments that were funny, but there were many moments I found cringy and not funny. Jessica Biel wasn't bad, but I didn't particularly care that much for her either. I also heard this was the Director's first film too, and I can definitely see it. It caused quite the drama behind the scenes.
I was so disappointed with this movie the first time I saw it.. I mean, as a stand alone movie it might be good, but as a Blade movie it just sucks! And I love both Ryan Reynolds and Jessica Biel, but they are just wrong for a Blade movie 😞
