“What’s he kissing, the air?”
You’ve never seen a man admiring his car before? 😂😂😂
Clearly not
Or his reflection
He was leaning over looking at the wing mirror when he kissed he’s saying he looks good
Blade 2 is honestly one of the best comic book movies ever made. And this movie was made 20 YEARS AGO!!! Imagine what it would be like if present day Guillermo Del Toro made this movie!?!?!
Also the “reaper” breed of vampires later influenced him to make both the book series and tv show The Strain, which has some of the scariest vampires you will ever see.
I loved The Strain!
The strain was a better book than a show but it is worth a viewing.
Some fun facts
1. Snipes admitted this is his favorite Blade film
2. Ron Perlman and Luke Goss would together again in another comic book film Hellboy 2 Golden Army
3. Perlman and Curran have the honor of playing multiple comic book characters in film and shows Perlman (Blade 2 as Reinhardt, Hellboy franchise, Teen Titans as voice of Slade, and Punisher Dirty Laundary as Big Mike) and Curran (Blade 2 as Priest, Punisher tv series as Fin Cooley, Thor the Dark World as Cul Borson, League of Extraordinary Gentlemen as Invisible Man, X-Men First Class as Man In Black agent, and the Flash as Despero)
4. Norman Reedus would later be in another Marvel project years later as the voice of Punisher in Iron Man Rise of Technovore
5. Donnie Yen a martial arts star who plays a member of the Bloodpack (Snowman) was also the film's fight choreographer.
6. Scud wears a T-shirt featuring the logo of the Bureau of Paranormal Research and Defense a reference to Mike Mignola's Hellboy (2004) comic the film adaptation of which Guillermo del Toro directed and Ron Perlman starred in.
7. During the fight with Nomak in the church part of the House of Pain the stained glass window is a replica of Dr. Strange's (another Marvel character who battles the occult) medallion the Eye of Agamotto. As a fan of the character Guillermo del Toro expresses interest a few years later in developing a Dr. Strange movie with writer Neil Gaiman but the project was rejected by Marvel at the time.
8. Pop Icon Michael Jackson was originally going to have a cameo in the "House of Pain" sequence as a "Vampire Pimp" that Nyssa encounters as she searches the upstairs hall. Jackson had to drop out due to scheduling conflicts and the part was played by a Czech actor. The sequence was ultimately cut out entirely for pacing reasons.
9. The only movie in the Blade trilogy that used its original written ending. Blade (1998) and Blade: Trinity (2004) went through reshoots to improve and/or replace their respective original climaxes.
10. David S. Goyer's original idea was to use Morbius as a primary villain but Marvel decided they wanted to retain the rights to make an entirely separate franchise out of Morbius - i.e. a Morbius film so the story was changed slightly and Jared Nomak was created to be used as the primary villain instead
11. The look of Damaskinos is based off Nosferatu and the idea of his skin looking like old marble. The look for Nomak and the Reapers were based off numerous incarnations of drawings by Guillermo del Toro and concept artists but primarily based off the mutants from Beneath the Planet of the Apes (1970).
12. Although it is often thought that the Reaper vampires in this film served as the inspiration for Guillermo del Toro's vampire series The Strain (2014) it is actually the opposite that is true. Del Toro had originally conceptualized the Strigoi which are the vampire antagonists in The Strain many years prior to the creation of Blade 2. He utilized his own original concept and changed certain aspects about it for Blade 2 so that it would still stand somewhat independently of his original work.
13. The name Caliban is a reference to the monster in William Shakespeare's The Tempest and a reference to the mutant from Marvel's X-Men.
14. Tim Curry was considered for Damaskinos
15. The body armor that Whistler is seen wearing in a large amount of the film is actually Blade's body armor from the first movie. It looks too big on Whistler which gives further meaning behind a line in the first movie where Blade says a UV flashlight is "still heavy" and Whistler replies "But you're so big."
16. The phrase "a man without fear" is used in this film. This is another Marvel comic book reference to Devil's Hell Kitchen Daredevil.
17. In addition to this film Tony Curran (Priest) plays another vampire the antagonist Marcus in Underworld Evolution.
18. In the 2 years training to hunt Blade each member of the Bloodpacks role to counter against Blade is as followed Snowman is the counter against his swordplay. Light Hammer counters his strength, Verlaine maybe counters the technical side of him. Chupa counters his heavy firepower, and Reinhardt & Priest are the point men meant to counter his short-range attacks.
19. When Blade tells Whistler to keep your friends close and your enemies closer he moves to the right, as you can see Scud over his left shoulder.
20. The only film in the trilogy where Blade does not engage in a sword fight with the villain or concludes with one. He does fight Nomak twice with his Ninjato but Nomak is never armed with one.
21. During the Reaper autopsy Nyssa muses that they are different from vampires as vampires are from humans. This implies somewhat early on that The Reaper strain is not a natural mutation because it conveniently has so many biological defenses to things that commonly kill vampires.
22. Snipes' quoting of Sun Tzu - "Keep your friends close and your enemies closer" follows references to the works of Sun Tzu in many other Snipes movies including Passenger 57 (1992), Rising Sun (1993) and The Art of War (2000) it's become his trademark
I'll give you a thumbs up just for having the time to post all of that, lol
@@samuraiwarriorsunite thanks
I don't even know half of these facts. Thanks👍
18. Is the most intriguing
the chorography in this movie is just sooooo good, the fights are awesome.
Blade 2 is an example of the sequel being better than the first film. The final fight with Nomak was so raw.
Nomak is legit my fav Marvel supervillain.
I wouldn't necessarily say blade 2 is better then the first movie , Action wise sure , Story wise the first one is better.
@@streetfightervsxenoverse1832 I can respect that
@@streetfightervsxenoverse1832 it’s like a Terminator 1 vs 2 sort of thing
@@Kickinthescience Now that you mention it yea sort of except I personally feel T-2 judgement day is better then the first one in everyway , Action and story
A franchise you should definitely check out is Underworld with Kate Beckinsale. Sexy vampire in leather bodysuit.
I second this. She alone makes the series worth watching.
Def Underworld 1 and 2
there is a third Blade movie called "Blade Trinity" not to spoil anything but Ryan Reynolds is in it and I think this movie is what got him the role as Deadpool
Don't know if Blade film had anything to do with that... but as far as I know Ryan got interested in playing Deadpool, because in the comics Deadpool once described himself as "Ryan Reynolds crossed with a shar-pei". That line is referenced in the first Deadpool film, when he said that he looked like he got "bit by a radioactive shar-pei".
He first played Wade Wilson in X-Men Origins: Wolverine, then took part in "leaked" test footage that finally convinced the studio to make an actual Deadpool movie.
If you think about deadpool is marvel and so is blade so it was his back door into the marvel franchise I think
@@richardbrothwood5022Deadpool Wolverine film..I want to see this Blade and Hannibal cameo!. Reynolds as Deadpool staring at Reynolds as Hannibal then insulting each other would be awesome and Blade n Wolverine interacting.. would be epic cameo imo.
Dark, violent, twisted, scary. The best sequel of any Marvel movie.
If you enjoyed Wesley’s performance, you should add “Demolition Man” with Wesley and Sylvester Stallone to your list.
The Soundtrack, the Action, the Characters, just pure Comicbook kick-ass movie fun.
Never seen Norman Reedus in anything besides playing Daryl in Walking Dead you say? You gotta watch The Boondock Saints (1999)! Awesome movie. It's got Willem Dafoe in it as well
This movie is directed by Guillermo Del Toro who directed Pan’s Labyrinth, and the Hell Boy movies. You should watch the Hell Boy movies. They are both awesome.
12:52 "Can you blush?" is a racial slur
Oh I see
9:54 👀
Exactly, because some white people are SO white they've become translucent; thereby allowing for the sudden pooling of blood in the face-caused by the brains synaptic response to a very specific emotional trigger-to become visible through the epidermis ... 😚
Cause we Blacks can't show red through our skin, but that's false actually
Its a double entendre. It's because he's black and because he's half vampire. Reinhart was originally supposed to be a skinhead nazi.
This woman is just stunning. Lucky guy. She seems down to earth. Great reaction 👍
The enthusiasm you have for Blade is like for one of the homies. This is a Blade House!
First time I've heard Freddy Krueger described as the guy in the striped jumper 🙂
Blade 2 was my favorite from all of them.
Mine too
@@justinnbucano5443 you should check out the anime. It tells the whole story about blades childhood in episode 4. About what his mother did for a living and who raised him before he ended up on the streets.
Tim Clancy Splinter Cell theme song is in the movie when Blade battles Reinhart. "Name of the Game" by The Crystal Method... great fight scene music.
THAT WAS THE VERY FIRST BLADE MOVIE I'VE WATCHED AS A KID
BLADE TRINITY IS PART 3
IT HAS RYAN REYNOLDS AND JESSICA BIEL AS BLADE'S TEAM
AND DRACULA IS THE THIRD VILLAIN
My favourite film in the series; Luke Goss does an amazing job as Nomak; considering he was previously more famous for being part of 80s boy band Bros.
Fun Fact: Danny John Jules aka The Cat from sci-fi comedy Red Dwarf (which I highly recommend) played Asad in Blade 2.
the music from the club is the first thing i think of when this movie enters my mind.
The practical effects are so good still for how old this film is and love Ron Pearlman and Daryl in this ! The fights and story are amazing
6:23 we heard the shot, but didn't see the actual scene
You should definitely check out the underworld films about vampires and werewolves! Great action packed series
The best line in the movie and this video is "it looks like he was dipped in a candle multiple times" lol, man that was good
"It's Daryll!"
No, Ma'am. That's Murphy McManus.
Snowman(Donnie Yen) was my favorite character. It's clear his skill with the sword is better than Snipes'. Maybe that's why he was taken out. You don't want to out shine the main character.
25:21 This entire creature looks insanely real, cgi or not I really can't tell coz it all looks completely practical, if it really is all practical then that's bonkers if not,it still looks insanely good and I still think it holds up really quite well 👏
I forgot about the Kat from Red Dwarf was in this (UK). That freak out when Lomak attacks at the beginning 😅😂. Great reaction as always 👍
13:03
"Can you blush?" Is a racist question. Since Blade is african american, the idea is that he can't because he's black...
I love seeing their reactions of seeing how the reaper mouth opens
Great reaction, love this one.
There’s definitely a Blade 3 and it’s worth watching, I hope you finish the trilogy
Here is a list u must watch:
Cast Away
Bruce Almighty
Click
Dumb and Dumber
Ace Aventura 😂😂
The DISRESPECT to Donnie Yen being offered so early in the movie...
It took 22 years for folks to see how bad ass Donnie is in John Wick 4
I got kicked out of the movie theater because I yelled in disbelief of how he went out 😅
He had bad luck in his early American flicks. This movie and Highlander Endgame he was taken out early.
Probably my favorite of the trilogy. Loved seeing Donnie Yen in this one!
yay I was waiting for this reaction. Thank you Alyce 🙏🥰
It's cool that you're enjoying the Blade movies. I think that this sequel adds more to the vampire lore and story in the Blade universe with the addition of the gruesome and bloodthirsty reapers. This movie is gorier and more action pack. As for the "Can you blush line?" line that was told on Blade by Reinhardt here's an interesting movie trivia. In the Blade 2 commentary they actually mention why the line was implemented. Apparently Wesley Snipes who plays Blade was telling the director a story about how some Austrian asked Snipes that very same question "Can you blush?", they didn't go into whether or not the Austrian was being racist, but Snipes said he "got a very good tongue lashing". When the director heard him tell the story, he wanted to implement it into the movie. It has something to do with Blade being black and because of that he was asked if he can blush. It might also be because Blade is part human and part vampire. It might because he is only half vampire and blood does run through him, and you need to have blood in you to blush. Maybe they were insulting him because he wasn't a full vampire...?
I would love to see a reaction to Blade Runner and then Blade Runner 2049, so you have my vote!
An awesome Wesley Snipes movie.🇬🇧📺📺🇬🇧
Most people didn't enjoy the 3rd movie. I wouldn't be surprised if you didn't do a reaction to it. The highlight is you get Ryan Reynolds doing a sort of Deadpool lite version of his best role. So there's that to look forward to.
Tbf I think it’s not as bad as some people say, it’s still very watchable, it’s just not as good as the first 2. It’s not like it’s Morbius 😂
I never got the hate tbh, but I’m also not someone who follows plot I’m just there for the ride. The third one was a lot of fun, ryan had pretty much only been in romcoms and seeing jessica biel do some action was fun as,
plot is just a framework, the excuse used to see characters do badass shit and say badass shit and be cool and quippy, it’s not really that important
People shouldn't listen to other people and make their own opinions.. don't tell people to skip a movie just cause some morons say it's not good
@@DGA_Kenyoni agree with you and madcap there but even though it’s not as good as the first 2 i enjoyed it a lot and Ryan was definitely very entertaining, very hilarious 🤣
Blade Trinity is still a good movie, just don't compare it to the other 2 and let it stand alone
14:45 Those were razor blades they were putting in their mouths.
Alyska you're videos are so awesome keep up the great work 👍 and hope you have a blessed and Happy Monday ☺️🙏
This film is such a fun time! Thanks for the upload!
This is my favorite blade movie love the video Alyska stay motivated Dream big 1 mill on the way
Cool concept for vampires
Actually The Final Blade Film Is Called Blade Trinity
People hate on the 3rd one, but it's just good cheezy fun. Plus it has Ryan Reynolds in his 3rd Marvel Role.
If you want to catch Norman Reedus while still a young guy in a couple of very cool films check out Boondock Saints.
There is a 3rd Blade movie and it is a fun watch if you liked the first 2. Those reaper mouth vfx still looked good and still are nasty.
That was NOT a Krispy Kream Doughnut
You must watch Boondock Saints!!! Norman Reedus is crazy in that one. There’s also a sequel
*scratches chin and whispers*
"Can you blush?!"
Luke Goss (Nomak) was part of a pop duo known as "Bros" with his brother back in the early 90s.
Donnie Yen was sadly underused in front of the camera.
Need Blade in the MCU.😊
And Howard The Duck in a more prominent roll😁
Blade loved Nissa ❤️ 😢 i was sad she died but she would of held Blade back
Since we've seen Ron Perlman and Luke Goss, and directed by Guillermo del Toro, I'm thinking the Hellboy movies next?
This sequel definitely raises the stakes! Pun intended.
Yes 🙌! Great choice! Great sequel!
Awesome reaction of my favorite Marvel movie!!!!!!!!!😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊
Blade 1 and 2 are must watch iconic, so your good there! However, Blade Trinity is still cool albeit campier; with some surprisingly good performances from the likes of Ryan Reynolds, Parker Poser and of course, Triple H!! 😅👊🏻
I love u calling the uno reverse card on the dud detonator but it was a bomb 😂
Hi Alyska hope you are having an great and awesome day ❤
No those Reaper mouths were CGI. Pretty damn good CGI for a lower budget movie from 22 years ago. That's how you can tell it was REALLY good. When it actually fools your eyeballs into thinking it was a physical effect. The first two Blade movies are so good..
Blade 3 is worth reacting to - every film has its own charm.
3:37 he was kissing his Car.
There is a 3rd blade movie called blade trinity
I've been looking forward to this reaction! 🙏🏽💪
Next reaction, blade 3,(Blade trinity)👍😍😍
I would highly recommend reacting to the original 10 Star Trek movies.
There is a Blade 3 its called Blade Trinity
There is a third Blade movie with Ryan Reynolds. I don't remember if it was as good as the first two though
Theres one more blade movie to go which is blade trinity and its so funny with ryan reynolds
Hey Alyska you think you can try to play Far Cry 3 it’s one of my all time favorite games ever in fact if you have a ps5 or ps4 well you can actually buy the Far cry 3 Classic edition (remastered) you can do anything in the game but I ain’t telling you what your doing in the game cause I don’t wanna spoil anything
P.S. big fan yours Gavin G-man Franklin
Alyska has a PC with an rtx 4090 ( I've heard good things about Far Cry 3, but Alyska usually plays the newest games: She's sponsor)
I am writing this to help out Alyce and this video, and this channel with the algorithm🥰
Amazing Alyska ❤
15:32 My man Blade! 🙏🏽💪
Still a better love story than Twilight.
So if you missed it in the last movie, they fed on whistler.
Blade 2 is awesome. Fun little movie.
i have been waiting on this, so excited. it's such a funny movie and just good action
Back when comic film's were cheese,
On the best burger ever....
Blade 3, next
I'm not 100% certain but the guy playing Chupa ( has nothing but hate for Whistler) was also in the first Blade movie as Crease the vamp who says he has Blade's pig sticker just before he gets his hand demolished by Blade's sword. Matt Schulze is the actor's name.
This is correct, same actor.
my fav one , hellboy great too , same director
Obvi any good person would say stop here but damn am i curious about her reaction to the one that shall not be named : P
Hi Alyska 😍 such a beautiful reactor
Are you going to cover Kingdom of The Crystal Skull and Dial of Destiny?
Seems you didn’t quite get the really sad meaning of Nyssa’s dearh. Blade fell in love with her, he had a hope of having someone else in his life. With her death Blade realized his fate is to be alone 💔
Don’t listen the the haters. Blade 3 is good.
Been waiting on this reaction
If you are looking for Norman Rheedus pre-walking dead then you need to watch the boondock saints. Kinda launched him into the limelight in the US.
Alyce your commentary is funny 🤣😂
There is a third Blade movie, Blade Trinity...
Been a long time since I've seen one of the Goss bros.
Great reaction video 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾☺️
14:47 they were kissing with a sharp blade in their mouths so the blood gave it an extra flavour :p
25:39 I think he said "I love it when you talk dirty"
I’ve got a few things to mention. 1. When blade kisses the air after he drifts the bike he is actually looking at the wing mirror when he kisses so he’s saying he looks good. 2. They put razor blades in their mouth in that club so they taste each others blood in the club scene. 3. And most importantly HOW DARE THEY OFFSCREEN DONNIE YEN ESPECIALLY WHEN ITS INSINUATING HE LOST A MELEE FIGHT TO THAT RUSSIAN.
Somehow I doubt that Reapers are worried about germs.
There are three Blade movies. The third one is Blade Trinity. I enjoyed this reaction and would like to see you react to the third Blade movie. I am looking forward to seeing what you react to next.
