Already knew of earthblade and shadow labyrinth, both of which look incredibly promising but also found a few new ones to wishlist, those being: stomp and the sword of miracles, fall of gorithia nym's fate and shattered soul. Thanks again seeker
@@soulsborneseeker Btw i got this weekend free which isn't always a given with how my work days go (sometimes have to work weeks on end) so i'm taking this opportunity to play spirit of the samurai! It's gotten a patch already and compared to the demo i played i can notice the increase in pickup speed already. I'm working my way through the village but it's still quite difficult haha 😅Sometimes i die within seconds before i realize. Still though the ambience is incredible and i love the voice acting, sound effects and music. It's very immersive despite the linearity and difficulty. If i beat this my backlog is literally only 5 games anymore before blade chimera comes out lol
@@d00mnoodle24 It's a short game, so I think you'll definitely make it! I agree, the game's presentation is phenomenal! Let me know how you find the bosses, I've heard they did some work on those as well.
@@soulsborneseeker it seems i've hit a difficulty wall on the battlefield in the forest level, it's a long slew of enemies including flying demons that just obliterate me. I'm contemplating if this game is just too hard for me as i'm nearing the end of the refund window. Previous enemies were fine but these demons feel kind of on the unfair side of things :s Edit: i went ahead and refunded it, unfortunate but the game is too hard for me, as it punishes mistakes perhaps a bit too much :s
a decent amount of these seem good such as earthblade, fall of gorinthia, and shadow labryinth. also not sure if its a metroidvania but looking forward to beyond the ice palace 2
Over the Horizon reminded me of Ultra Age for some reason. Completely different game type and not pixel-art, but the vibe is similar. I didn't think much of the Pac-Man game at TGAs, but your description intrigues me. Wishlisting, along with a few others off this list.
I just had a quick look at Ultra Age, and I'll admit it gives a similar vibe to Over the Horizon with its sci-fi aesthetic and hectic combat! Glad you found a few games to wishlist!
Over the Horizon looks cool but also a bit too busy for its own good. Sometimes there is so much on screen that it becomes overwhelming. Earthblade is pretty much guaranteed to be great, and I'm hoping Shadow Labyrinth lives up to the hype.

Over the horizon - Why are they trying to make games like this lately, mixing 3D environments with pixel art characters? Most often it looks incompatible, o Characters stand out with their design, while the environment stands out with its not very high-quality 3D and design. It's not bad, but it usually doesn't look very good. It's worth adding problematic lighting. Strange design of locations, environment from the era of cheap 3D. But most of all I don't understand this kind of gameplay, like Sonic, when you just run through a level at speed, no gameplay, no mechanics, just quickly "fly through" the level at speed. I don't understand what's going on here interest.
I did find the trailer quite engaging, though I'm also a bit on the fence about the whole speed aspect. I'll wait until I get my hands on it to make a more informed deliberation, but I'll admit that what I've seen so far intrigues me!
@soulsborneseeker I'm also interested in what will come out of this. But I consider the above to be disadvantages. It would also be worth adding an oversaturation of effects and special effects.
