Basically ALL of these modern sports bikes come severely restricted from the factory & showroom floor. Unless the previous owner(s) have had the ECU flashed, and better, dyno’d… many owners and reviewers are missing out big time. Top speed, rev, and throttle position comes completely neutered. I’d like to see a review where a bike like this is taken to a tuner that knows what he’s doing-before & after.
Yeah, understood on all points, but the aim of my comment is: these “stock” bike reviews paint a very different picture from a much needed, and properly tuned & unrestricted bike. Decaf vs caffeinated.
I prefer the simpler display. Cheaper to replace when they break. It does everything you need. We need to keep the prices down and repair costs as low as possible. Everything costs an arm and a leg these days. IMHO
As an owner, here are my reasons for loving this series of the GSXR1000. It's reasonably comfortable for the sportbike class. It won't roast your nuts on a hot day, as many do. It has stellar frontend composure that instills loads of confidence. There's plenty of well-calibrated torque/horsepower throughout the RPM range that makes throttle modulation a breeze. It's a great price for the overall performance (chassis/motor) and only a few inexpensive mods away from fixing the shortcomings. I installed a Brembo master cylinder for the front brakes, steal braided brake lines F & R, and re-flashed the ECU to purge the power restrictions in the first 3 gears. It's proven to be well-built, super reliable, easy to maintain, and she absolutely rocks in the hands of a skilled rider. I want for nothing more.
Bring a micro fiber cloth for the displays. Using your glove to clean the screen off will leave scratches just like car paint. You're dragging abrasive dust across it, and they are trying to sell it. It's small scratches, but can cause permanent damage.
Not Yoda but with the martial arts, the rock climbing and the way you handle those speeders probably a Jedi. Man these pretty bikes I think that I would probably pass out trying to make a choice.
When u doing walk round try it with 35-50mm focal range, that wide-angle camera distorts the view a lot...also, the best height of recording is about lights high.
I love my 750. Idk if ill ever upgrade to the 1000....roads can't allow to exploit whats its been built for and i surance here is 350$ a month for it....
If you like riding fast, nothing beats sport bikes in comfort and that’s why they’re dangerous. They’re definitely not produced to be a relaxed cruiser machine😎
Rode my friends 23 gixxer1k with the blue race graphics. That bike popped my liter cherry. It was like twisting the throttle for the first time. 1/8 throttle is all you need. So much fun but completely pointless for the road, and yea she’s pretty “comfy”
gixxers literally look so dated, it's like they didn't they anything from 10 years ago. Those front indicators look like they came off of a 2005 CBR 1000 or something
FYI these are all old bike reviews back by popular demand. linktr.ee/GregWidmar
Out of curiosity why were they deleted in the first place?

@@DookeyRidr a properly tuned bike with performance hardware makes all the difference in the world.

CBR600RR: Nah, you don't need it.
