I've discovered that weapon and ammo crates for my ship are key to survival. They also let me early move more cargo.
I'll be able to run the WD 3015 engines now indefinitely using that storage system.
at this difficulty level it seems fair to get a 1 tap headshot from stealth if you've aligned all the necessary skills/buffs. remember - on any hazardous planets and moons you won't be able to sneak as easily or as slowly
The big safe in the office in the hanger on the back wall is unlocked and sometimes has a good weapon. You looked at it. You knew you were missing something in that room. That was it.
When you are in the well, jump in the waterfalls and look for the EM pulse rifle that you can sell to the trade authority woman, and it also respawns after a while.
its averaging me 10-15 minutes between raids to cure severe afflictions! I cycle through different aid options until the prognosis is excellent and then its just waiting (I think?)...giving me an excuse to improve outposts for now but I think that some points in the physical tree are warranted to raid the level 75 moons efficiently
Been playing on Extreme for both on the ground and space and biggest difference for anyone wondering is really just bullet sponginess. Magshears absolutely melt you now so be careful. For ship combat, dogfights are now prolonged which I like.
Are the enemies still spongey? I'm hoping it's removing bullet sponginess for us and the enemies.
@@CharlesVanexX Set enemy damage to extreme (they do somehing like x2 damage than normal setting) but set your damage to easy (x2 damage over normal) and set combat affliction to increased - now you melt each other with the chance of puncture wounds etc.

Definitely think I’m going to just live vicariously through you on the extreme mode. I don’t mind the new settings considering I always eat and drink and take my time to loot everything to the point where I don’t need to buy ammo or health items. In fact, I can empty most vendors’ credits just by selling ammo which would be different if ammo had weight. Since I’m on console, the update hasn’t dropped yet but I’m learning what to like and not like based on your play through.
Agreed, I like what I'm seeing so far. However, I could care less about having to eat and drink all the time. It reminds me too much of FO76 during the early days.
Interesting that sleeping resets your food and hydrated level - got to remember to sleep before eating and drinking! Curious to see if beer gives you hydrated as well as a damage buff? Btw I think your sneak damage didn't proc at first as you'd already been detected (can see red dots on your mini map) - would like to see your food+drink sneak theory tested again 🙂
I got a magstorm with extended mag and staggering. I put high velocity uranium rounds and it's stupid. I love it. 😅
I think the fact that skill-tree buffs are essentially broken and completely unpredictable are one of the bigger problems with the game. I never know if I'm going to get a fair shake because I don't know if my stats are broken or not. At least the ship shield bug is fixed but I think there are a lot more skills that have problems. Still having issues with targetlocktime changing on me, standard lock time is 3 seconds, with rank 4 Targeting should be 1.2 seconds, mine has been as high as 4.2 seconds before and no idea why it just changes.
The ship shield bug still seems broken for me. As soon as I assigned Vasco the trouble started.
@@TheHst2112 Well that sucks. I'm not on beta cause mods but I've been avoiding adding Vasco to my crew and avoiding upgrading skills in my ship. So far so good. I had to liquidate my previous ship and build a new one to undo the shield bug.
@@dkindig Same. I experimented with various ways to try and restore the shields on the Frontier but could only get it to be worse. Vasco is definitely a trigger.

as soon as you take a concelment perk the sneak attack fixes itself,,, the worst sorta game breaking thing is the enviroment damage yellow bar, when it takes up most of your health you cant get rid of it unless turn sliders back down

I would just run a Beuwolf as my only gun as its best all rounder imo, if weight is going to be an issue, just so i can scavenge as much as I can
I wholeheartedly agree. Right now I'm stuck with a Grendel, but at least 7.77 Ammo is cheap and abundant, and my Grendel is explosive lol
I do believe that the food/sneak is a Bethesda deal…it is the same way in survival mode in Skyrim. Always check the blue containers for food/drink items. Glad to hear you’re feeling better. Take care and stay safe
If you go to Vlads VIlla on Smyrna 7a you can get an advanced Kodoma at the get go. And that's usually the second or third best weapon you will find. If you SS from orbit, it might even be the 4th.
I love the kodama and did not know this. May be headed there next. I remember in 1 vid it was mentioned a soecific facility weapon rack often has good kodanas, but I can't find the vid or remember the facility...
The kodoma is in his office in the basement. You will need 1 point in security to pick the advanced lock on the office door. There is also a pistol called the Mutinear, an advanced magshot with space adept. Good for clearing ships early on. There are 2 weapon racks that can spawn crazy shit. They can also have trash. The kodoma and magshot are always there. There is also a magazine that gives a +-2% vendor perk. If you save in the orbit before you land, if you don't like the spawn guns, you can reload your save and try again. I doubt I've reloaded more than a handful of times to get a viable advanced weapons. Inflictors and starshards are common. Available right out of the box.
I've also stolen a number of Stormriders bouncing from planet to planet. It's a great system to farm early.

I think they meant to provide 35% increase in damage but coded it as 35x. Slight difference!
When you are in settings you can see what all food and drink helps. It states the bonuses and even as percentage they are crazy high like 25% damage and more O2. Being fed is almost better than taking red trench and you can be fully fed from a potato or onion. All food feeds for 30 minutes, which is dumb.
The reason you aren't doing sneak damage is you don't have a stealth bar.

if they just add something you can build with all the resources you can harvest like a star station it would make the game so much better, maybe control a solar system
I don’t know, once I turned up the Affliction settings to max, I find those physical skills suddenly become actually useful and needed. Like the environmental resistances and the conditioning, yeah I mean I get the desire to be awesome at combat but ya got to survive the environment to get to the fight. :)

Panacea is the healing item you want for afflictions, etc.
The blue coolers you keep going past usually contain food

When you were looking for food at the start of the Abadoned Hanger, you missed one container that always has food at16:45 on the floor in the corner next to the weight bench. The other was I think two UC ration packs on the shelf you got ammo off of at 17:00 Hope this information helps.
Because I am so not used to picking up food my brain completely ignores it haha

I don't no why u don't slow down just a little and pick up most of the food gear around u it would make ur play through alot more complete and I for one think ur a goat that is some penalty ur playing under plus alittle stealing just to keep u alive and fortified lol but it's certainly interesting and I love watching ur vids

Speculation based on what I have seen: The afflictions look like they need several treatments. After your first bandage was used the condition only said that it was improved and not cured. It then eventually went to a purple affliction as the initial affliction got worse.
That's the difficulty option. Items can never cure afflictions.

I mean, calling the bonus sneak damage doing exactly what it says it will do an "exploit" is a stretch imo. Could they stand to add another option for the balance? sure. But given just how horrifically bad the negatives are, as shown in that same section of your video, I'm ok with this balance.
34 times damage multiplier is wrong and it’s caused by the food buff. Even With maxed stealth you won’t hit higher than 5x multiplier

@@deanpogaming I guess you can stand real high up and let the others do most of the fighting because that mission isn't solo.
@@pdga3791 all you need is an advanced weapon with a “damage over time effect” or an advanced big bang and it’s GG. I’ve done couple of videos on how to get the best weapons from level 4, but it does suck the fun out of the game to get op so early.
@@deanpogaming seen some of them but I just take what I get. I am not going to load a saved game to get a better weapon..just started my 5th playthrough and this time I want to do it solo, which is really weird. I got a surround system and am so used to hear footsteps behind me. lol Not playing on extreme though...I think it is hard enough already.
Bro enemy damage at extreme level is almost impossible, even enemies as low as your own level.
Check out my guides =]… I was taking them out at level 6’and also have a 630k ship too. It’s doable but is it worth it, that is entirely up to you =]

@@Shoooder1 It is a companion-based buff/debuff. It DOES buff your ship weapons.

I didn't think so, but in the description it says crew. I think you can have a ship crew and get their ship buffs, you just can't take them on a hunt.....?
@@Shoooder1 Okay, I did some testing. It is completely companion-based. Having crew on your ship does not affect the perk. Only when you ask a companion along, and the perk affects both personal weapons AND ship weapons. The best strategy is to only ask a companion along when absolutely necessary and make sure you dismiss them when you get back to the ship. If you're checking the numbers yourself, weapon dmg doesn't update until you change locations (enter ship/leave ship, etc).
