  • democracynow.org - While Iraq is marking a third day of mourning, a long-awaited British inquiry into the Iraq War has just been released. The Chilcot report is 2.6 million words long-about three times the length of the Bible. Using excerpts from private correspondence between former Prime Minister Tony Blair and U.S. President George W. Bush, the report details how Blair pushed Britain into the war despite a lack of concrete intelligence. For example, eight months before the invasion, Blair wrote to Bush: "I will be with you, whatever." Then, in June 2003, less than three months after the invasion began, Blair privately wrote to Bush that the task in Iraq is "absolutely awesome and I’m not at all sure we’re geared for it." Blair added, "And if it falls apart, everything falls apart in the region.” For more, we speak with British-Pakistani writer, commentator and author Tariq Ali.

I was in iraq before the invasion, no trouble, happy people, could have a beer outside cafe etc.. and that was during ramadan!

happy people ? rubbish - they tore down Saddam's statues and spit on them countless times. He was a butcher. Thats why the Iraqi government sentenced him to death.

So Iraq is better off now? Blair and Bush didn't invade because Saddam was a bad man.

I was looking at a small town on the internet the other day named Erbil near to where Alexander The Great fought a large battle. The town looks clean and modern with fountains and a modern clock tower, just like a modern Spanish town. These are real people living there, civilized with lives, family and loved ones. The Chilcot report was a load of old bullshit and innocents in Iraq died and lead to the birth of ISIS. What a waste and what a mess.

People tear down statues in the US.
The puppet Iraqi government that the US installed, you mean? If Saddam was a butcher, what does that make Bush and Blair?

THE REALLY SAD THING ABOUT THESE PEOPLE IS THAT THEY ARE NEVER BOUGHT TO JUSTICE AND THEY LITERALLY GET AWAY WITH MURDER, JUST LIKE IT IS HERE ACROSS THE POND! UTTERLY DEPRESSING!

Because they are politicians who are controlled by the same hidden hand. Regardless of what side of the pond they are on. Global control is their objective.

Had a 3rd World prime minister invaded and occupied another country, would he not have been dragged to Hague? Is the International Law only meant for 3rd world countries?

A credit to Mr Blair a) Tony never finished the job off in Iraq (neither did Bushbaby) but more importantly b) closer to home the introduction of the National Minimum Wage (which we call Piss Poor Money) which single-handedly aided in the destruction and break down of the family unit (try leaving home and starting your own life on £80 -£120 a week for the rest of your life! Impossible!). The breakdown of the Individual and the division of the sexes is next if not already in the process.

    Listen lovely people ,
life contains the seed of death so does the death contains the seed of life. All in all soul in all . The goal of the humans lives is realizing the soul and the Super Soul. Please do not waste your previous time.
When a mad dog had threatened the innocence, being a bravest Prime Minister , his prime duty was the safety of the people .
The sum total of all the souls is the Super Soul? God. They are the Kings in other words , they are designed to be the directors Divined directors. Why waste your time ?

I hold the view that you don't need to know you are lying in order to lie. To me the intent is irrelevant. We don't have a degree-ness in lying. When you are not telling the truth and the whole truth, you are lying. Through your incompetence, ignorance, laziness, and carelessness you could be providing untruthful information. To me, this is irresponsible and it is lying.

To say Ukip is an extreme right wing party is simply inflammatory nonsense and every opinion of this man loses credibility with such a dishonest or mistaken claim.
