- I made a glittery twist front dress to wear to Glam Glow's #glittermask party! This dress is perfect for the holidays and very simple to assemble. The hardest part was figuring out how the heck to make my own pattern xD
TIME: 2 Days to draft and sew
DIFFICULTY: EASY sewing but CHALLENGING to figure out the pattern!
WHAT I WORE UNDERNEATH:

-Sparkly fabric from Joann (I got 4 yards, amount depends on your size)
-Ballpoint needle (Sew with stretch stitch setting on your machine)

She has already been there and won,from what I remember in one off her previous videos in which she explained on how she eventually ended up making youtube videos. Idk which one was it but it is in there.
I follow Project Runway US and know that she didn't won in any season, maybe some other Project Runway😀

Thank you! Tacking it down worked out in the end so it wasn't a disaster haha. I think even if it was more overlapped, you would have to tack it down somewhere so the skirt doesnt accidently flip over :)

coolirpa ughhhh sequins are really hard to sew. I broke a few needles on my last sequin dress.😵😭
surprisingly it wasn't the sequin, but the tinsel-ly fabric lol! lots of snagging happen! But i know what you mean about the sequin..my prom dress..I mustve broken 5 needles!
coolirpa I hear it helps to have a specific hammer made for sequins or fabric the needs to be flattened
This fabric set you up for success! You could have made it into a sack and I’d still say “yes girl!!!” Lol it’s beyond fabulous

I go to the thrift store a lot not only for clothes to transform, but als just for fabric as my thrift store has that a lot... and you started me doing so! Thank you very much 😄

When draping something like this you should have the selvage at an angle. This prevents the fabric from stretching out.
Even though it sparkly it’s still so sophisticated because of the cut! Another hit! Slayyyy😍
I don’t like the mathematics of making patterns and i know that people learn them through experience later. That’s why i loved what you did. Good job!

gorgeous dress! I may try making it myself, though I don't have a dress form so will have to buy a pattern. I would though highly recommend ligning it though. that fabric is delicate and the hem on the raw edges really stands out. Just food for thought :) love it overall!
