I get what you're saying but still that's not the worst idea in the world. Bands like Nightwish or Wintersun, the listening experience will be greatly enhanced if you used higher quality equipment, no?

Given the personality he displayed so far, I think he would at the moment definitely enjoy the first two plus Seven Days to the Wolves from Wembley the most. (He'll also like Empty Hope, but it's more an introduction for people who like it heavy, but simple, just as GLS is a good intro for people who are a bit scared of metal. This guy likes heavy, but he also seems to appreciate complex song structure.)
Suggestion: ‘Yours is an Empty Hope’ and ‘Devil and the Deep Dark Ocean’; both are on the heavier side.

Yes definitely - and that fact that Carlos picked up on Jukka and the sound he can produce from his kit (in Ghost Love Score as well) is a credit. Its rare. Most people don't even mention the rest of the band. Jukka holds it all together with a fist. I swear, to play 14 minute songs and an entire set and not give an inch on his performance - astounding. I wish others would give Jukka the accolades her deserved. Although he's retired from the band now, I miss his definitive print on the sound.

The drums in Song if Myself are EPIC! The changes of tempo and style are SSOOOOO technically amazing.
The poet and the pendulum. I recommend to read some background story before hearing this song to feel it to the fullest ;)
I like anyone who gives Jukka as much love as any of the other band members. He puts as much passion into playing the drums as the others do into theirs. He even gives Tuomas a run for his money.

Man, I'm pretty sure "Weak Fantasy" live at Tampere will be your kind of song. It's as intense as Romanticide.
Oh man, your spiteful rant at the start (and little bit at the end) was everything. I lived for it. Part of me was sad that you didn't use the good earbuds, but a bigger part of me was so so happy you stuck with the cheaper ones out of spite. I felt that. Screw people who whine because (they assume) you're not doing everything the exact way they want you to. Props to you though for not letting it ruin the song for you. I definitely admire that.
I don't know if you'll find one you like more than Romanticide but you might find a couple others you still enjoy a lot. I would suggest Ghost River at Wacken 2013, Yours Is An Empty Hope at Wembley 2015, or Devil and the Deep Dark Ocean at Buenos Aires 2018. All are on the heavier side. The second one features more angry Floor(she even growls during the chorus), and the third one they just go full force from start to finish with the drums claiming MVP(Floor gets a bit angry here too but not to the same degree as the other one). Hopefully you'll enjoy them! Cheers!

I don't know if anyone has shared with you, yet. The drummer in this Wacken concert is named, Jukka. He was their original drummer from 1996 to 2014. Due to medical issues, he left the band, and was able to pick his replacement. He chose his childhood friend, Kai. Who has been with Nightwish since 2014. Jukka is a kick ass showmanship drummer while Kai is a kick ass technical drummer.🤘
Kai on Tribal. He had to add extra drums for it. Kai is amazing. Their new album is amazing.
@@NeeceLoneWolf I met Kai, in 2015 and again in 2018. I was fortunate enough to talk with him and get his autograph & photo. He was so cool & relaxed and gracious. I met Jukka in 2012 and blessed enough to talk with him for almost 5 minutes. He was so funny and spoke to all us fans as if we were all friends at a bar.
And don't forget Kai's former band was Wintersun Wich is a fking great band also.
Julia has not left the band, just not out front performing anymore. He went into the background and is their CEO for the business side of things now. :)

Definitely gotta check out Yours Is an Empty Hope if you want to hear Floor do actual growls. And ignore the haters, they clearly don't know what they're talking about. Just one glance at the equipment around you and anyone with tech knowledge would know you've got some killer in-ear monitors.

Jukka is such a beast. I like Kai, but I miss Jukka's energy
It's his drumming in Planet Hell that got my attention and everything else in the song made it one of my favs.

Greatest Show on Earth, Poet and the Pendulum, Seven Days to the Wolves and their newest album are musts.
Slaying the Dreamer had one of my favorite filthy guitar moments ever, I've never headbanged so hard as when I got to hear that live when they came through on the Decades tour last year, definitely recommend

Great reaction! I'd love to see you react to Weak fantasy live at Wembley. It has quite an aggressive feel, heavy drumming parts. Great mix of Floor and Marko singing, and she's also having a nice raw edge there as it's more aggressive. Very sexy!

The beasty drummer Jukka Koskinen played before in a band called "Wintersun": check them playing "Sons of Winter and Stars", a masterpiece. Floor Jansen has opera training but always sang in rock and heavy metal bands. She easily modulate her voice from operatic to pop rock to growl (fry). Floor won the show "Das Besten Zängen", sang from opera to musical, pop, Spanish song, rock, ballad. She's very versatile.

In my opinion, those songs are the heavier ones that they have with Floor. Check them ou, especially the live versions.
I love this one as an example of how Jukka (drummer) has the best legs in Finland.
Some people have nothing better to do than complain about what other people are doing. Try to ignore them...you're a professional and know sound equipment better than most. Anyways, great reaction.
