- Driving without a licence - that is among 36 cases of commercial vehicle drivers caught over 10 days. The Traffic Police held an operation targeting vehicles like vans and pick-up trucks, to see if drivers had the right licences. One employer of a driver who was caught says he misunderstood what class of licence was needed. Richa Mathew with more.

While many Malaysian riders doesn't have insurance and road tax riding in Singapore. TP better check all these riders, today they ride cub bike, tomorrow ride sport bike, other days borrow friends bike 😂😂

The companies that own or lease the vehicles should be charged for allowing non-licensed drivers to drive their vehicles--these companies are the real culprits. Compound their vehicles. Hit their pockets hard.

Also need to increase checks on lorries & trucks, whether their carrrying goods are properly secured. A lot of dangerous debris on the roads and expressways.

This is prove that PAP's licensing laws are too ambiguous and excessive. LTA should simplify regulations further. Less laws, not more laws, stupid.
Practical driving tests need to encompass all foreigners staying/working in SG. Especially those rich foreigners driving recklessly with luxury cars.
Now a day got so many illegal happening on the road, who is responsible?? LTA and Traffic Police Dept both sleeping partner for how many years did not rush up your enforcement action? Now who is responsible our road safety??

"We would like the remind companies and employers... action would be taken against errant employees." Employers are breaking the law, but punish the employees instead. TP OIC SOT Anthony Lim, does not know his law despite being the law enforcer. How would you expect the layman to know the laws? MOT, LTA, SPF are managed by clowns.

Lack of enforcement, that's why road users have no regard for the laws as they know the chance of getting caught is minimal. Speed and traffic cams cannot catch speedsters everywhere, illegal modifications, failure to form up, reckless and dangerous driving, road rage, the list goes on.

Traffic police should frequently check most foreign vehicle carying construction tools & materials performing illegal activities in Singapore Roads.
Singaporean welcome foreigner's drivers as our guests but do not take the visits as doing illegal businesses.
We required the support of traffic police, ica and mom to take this action urgently to make our nation strong.
Meanwhile PAB bikes still racing on public road…

For many years Traffic Police and LTA abused traffic rules where comersial vehicle can travel at lane 2 on E'way. All comersial vehicle has speed restriction either this vehicle overspeed or hogging at Lane2

Driving without a licence, without renew road tax which means no insurance letting Johore riders do food delivery and delivery services even on J plated bikes and cars, letting jiu hu kia in Starex ,Alfuck or whatever do taxi services in J plated cars, converting foreigners driving licences to QDL when they cannot even drive properly or know the traffic rules here, giving out Class 4 and even 5 driving licences to foreigners who cannot even control or drive a golf cart properly and all sorts of reckless, dangerous and red light running offences totally ignored...did i miss out on anything...kindly add.😆😆

W/o proper license, driver could involved in accidents involving cars vs vans or young/old pedestrians.
With high COE, the costs for a new bike are high, and it also drives up the cost for USED bikes and guess what? The dealerships win again.

The COE system is simply flawed. With a small amount of COEs available, motorcycle dealerships can bid up all the COEs and control the pricing. The fact that they do not need to pay the full COE amount and just a small amount for Temporary COE (tCOE) makes it really broken for years. Robin Low

A high COE benefits the dealerships as even the buyers for the smallest motorcycles need to take loans.

We need a new system going forward, and I do not believe having COE for motorcycles makes sense.

SDP would propose electric motorcycles be excluded from the COE system as they do not really contribute to traffic and if the electrical grid is using sustainable sources, it will also contribute very little overall carbon.
