I just started (august 28th) a job and I have a great boss. He's very kind, very caring, he's smart, he's humble, he makes a very good living, I love his personality. I like him a lot and I know he likes me too (on what level? I don't know). The problem is that I found out 1 week ago that he's in a relationship and it broke my heart. He'd never mentioned it before. I even felt like we were subtly flirting. I know my feelings for him are only going to grow and I don't know how to pretend. What's more, he's sitting next to me and we have to communicate all day long. What can I do about that situation ? (From Paris)

It was not meant to be long distance. She said she wanted a new life away from her current city, we planned to move to another city to live together. I moved first since I got the job earlier than her. 2 months later, she moved most of her stuffs over and first day here, she told me that this is not what she wants and she needs time on her own, asked me to vacate my stuffs. She went back to her old life a month later, without letting me know. And now, she's ghosting me. I am not sure here, am I being used or it's just her avoidance.

Comment on the long distance. I think you have to pay attention to all the details. The relationship I am in started as a long distance relationship and we didnt meet for 9 months but we were honest with each other and he told me within the first month that he wanted a relationship. We met on TH-cam and had a lot in common, texted and emailed every day several times a day and talked once a week. I ended up moving to his city a little over a year and early on we talked about the future and how our retirement plans would be. So I think you need to see what else is going on.

My ex, as her life was in shambles came back, egged me on at first then 6 weeks ago, told me she lost feelings. I was clear, I loved her and she is free to go. Then she came back texts me daily like nothing happened. Eventually, I felt I was an emotional crutch, provider, medical advisor, her therapist etc. In my mind trying to help her start over. So wrong. I felt so uncomfortable with it as she takes a lot and I am not getting anything in return. Until I asked her if she is dating and she said she is. I told her I am not interested to be a "friend" as that's what she is making this to be and I am out once she is interested in others. (felt I was also a placecard bec I am always there for her). I was clear in the beginning I am out once she wants friendship or she starts becoming interested in others. She never communicated this until I asked.
I just had enough. I told her I still love her but we should just leave each other be and not talk anymore. I said goodbye. Blocked her because she ALWAYS COMES BACK AND KNOW WHAT STRINGS TO PULL.
It's like a weight off my shoulders. I am free. I am healing now doing inner work.
