I never ever used those stoppers. The place I used to skate in had a little ramp that gone down towards the seats, so I would naturally, accelerate. I just figured out the exact distance I should be from the benches to be able to stop automatically or by holding/ high-fiving my parents
I always thought those brakes were a joke, I thought I was doing it wrong by finding other ways to stop! Nice to know I can take the annoying thing off.
heel brakes are nice to have for extreme downhills and also it makes for a good support when putting on and taking off skates but I haven't used heel breaks in forever. I have no need for them and they just add unnecessary weight on one skate.
I can stop without the brake but I'm considering putting one back on and learning to use it. My city is very hilly and Im sick of wearing out my wheels. Also sometimes I'm on thin paths that dont allow me to do regular stops and a heel brake would be useful.
Hi today I hit the fence that was going downhill. The descent was very narrow and I had no way to stop. Do you have any tips on how to get out of the situation?
I never actually use my brake, can stop using t, stepping plough and lunge stop but the reason I keep it on is because I live in a mega flat area and I have zero experience with downhills. Kind of getting to the point where I need to take it off for certain drills I want to practice though. I think I'm just gonna take it off when I do a wheel change and worry about it later
Hi I need help roller blading basically I went to rainbow skateland and I was struggling to skate I couldn’t skate because it was my first time and I was walking like you would normally walk in shoes I need some tips what’s the easiest way to learn how to rollerblade can you please make a video about it?❤ (I also didn’t know how to pick not even one foot up please help me I want to know how to rollerblade ❤❤❤❤
I'm really struggling with this right now, I dont know what im looking for to be able to find the shorter replacement one? What are they even called and how do you know what size to get?! 😩 Ive heard them referred to as bolts, screws etc i dont know what they actually are to even be able to look for and find one Im in the uk so cant get shoptask to help. Its the rollerblade zetroblade i just purchased for my partner im clueless when it comes to inlines and their adjustments/ maintenance! Do you have any idea whether the shorter bolt/screw thing comes with the zetroblade for people who who remove their brakes?
It’s just a wheel axle! Did you contact Rollerblade? Contacting the manufacturer can be helpful! I just went to their website actually and you can click spare parts, and you’ll see a pack of spare wheel axles labeled “zetra” those look right to me. Maybe contact them just to confirm before you buy. Hope this helps!!
@@PollySkates hi Polly thanks for your reply, I did just that and contacted zetroblade and they informed me that it comes with the extra bolt needed, thank goodness because I was so confused!
i’ve never used those breaks. i just felt like it was too much work to use them, i taught myself how to roller blade in less than a day. i’m that whole day i learned how to stop and go over those bumpy things in the concrete, and jump. i was super fast too. let’s just say i was a talented 8 year old 😻
1st comment always should get pinned and I’m first
Tyyyy
beggar 😐
Do you ever get a little scared that you might not master a trick and might fall or do you feel completely fine knowing that your not gonna fall?
Depends what I’m doing :) I’m prepared to fall when I’m trying something new or difficult
Finally a real roller blade teacher and not a teacher who teaches with those 4 wheel roller blades fr

I CAN'T UNSCREW THE GOSH DANG SCREW TO TAKE THE BRAKE OFF
Oh my gosh. What skates? Is your bolt stripped by chance 😬

@@PollySkates can u pls give a tutorial? Cus whenever I try doing it, I just stop and lose balance 😭
I got frustrated in almost tripping when i did my waltz jumps that I ordered new screws for the back to remove it
Oooh I need to try a walz jump
If you dont have a shrot axel you can use a small bolt and nut
Good to know! 🙏🤗
How fast can you go
Mine is sadly attached to the skate and it’s not removable 💔
The way she stairs into your sole while doing it 💀

I cannot close it but how do I close it
There is no need to buy a short axel I just used some cardboard to make it small 😂
😂😂 I guess if it works! I haven’t heard this before. Good job! My brain isn’t that handy
Hey so I’m getting online skate and I’m terrible at using them can you teach me
Yes!!! Checkout my channel! I have tons of beginner tutorials 🫶🤙
Skate brand and model name please 😢
Rollerblade maxxum :)
@@PollySkates Thank You dear ❤️
what if your skate has that abs break thing how do you get that one off?
Hi, what about impala skate
They are cheap and cute! Not high performance or super practical if your really serious about rollerblading
If I’m just going to be skating straight (and I can r stop comfortably) is it still beneficial to take it off?
What’s the point of removing it? I see everyone doing it and I’m not sure why

Is there any way to get a shorter axel online?
If you don’t see it on the website email/or call shop task skateshop!! I’m sure they can help you!!! Lol you can tell them I sent you for it 😅
@@PollySkates hahah thank you
Bro- i usually skate soooo damn fast im fay faster then the cars here and my skate break……yea…its pretty much useless now bc i use it so much..
Do you think that this is Safe for us to use I think you need to consult the safety of the manufacturer before you tell this matter
They are manufactured to be removable. Most of the time you have to purchase separately or they come disassembled in the box
beautiful where are you from
Seattle :)
I don’t use the break on my on my roller blades
Same 🤭
I glide to stop
Im not removing it
Good choice 😁
