Air ambulance tips back and officer sinks into mud during emergency in Oosterwolde

Oosterwolde (Netherlands) - One person was seriously injured in an incident at a primary school on Wednesday morning.
Police, ambulance and air ambulance were called to an incident at a primary school on Buttingasingel around half past twelve. A child is believed to have been seriously injured during the incident at the school. The mobile medical team arrived on site by helicopter to provide assistance. This landed on a footpath on 13 aprilstraat. The ambulance rushed to the trauma helicopter with the patient and the police. The swampy grass caused the helicopter to tilt backwards while the personnel were disembarking. When boarding, the helicopter straightened up again. An officer also became knee-deep in mud.
The patient was urgently transferred to hospital. The trauma helicopter continued for a report in Schoonloo.
