Ironic that William can remember when Jamie was a groomsman working for his grandfather, yet cannot seem to remember the close relationship he had with Jamie and how much time Jamie spent with him teaching him to ride and be a man. Maybe those memories will rekindle as he spends more time with Jamie, or maybe he suspected all along.
Or that jamie told the indians that william was his son when he had to stay away from the cabbin cause lord jhon was sick william already knows rhat jamie is his father he just doenst want to believe it 😅
He recalls the situations at Helwater, and that there was a groomsman named Mac who he spent a lot of time with, but he doesn't remember what he looked like.
& u feel like a Fraser for @ least an hour also the show makes it feel so real like they are real people married couple that are still madly in love, but yet very mad at each other like a typical married couple I would do anything for anybody even if it’s just people on Fraser‘s Ridge or lolly, Brook, or family and friends and each other and you can feel the love and hate between the characters.
Jamie gave “Willie” his rosary at Helwater. Jamie was getting ready to go back to Scotland and he wanted his son to have something to remember him. Willie wanted to be a “…papist.” I forgot the term used here. So Jamie gave him the rosary and William took it off and threw it in Jamie’s face when told that Jamie is his biological father.
The best way to understand this is read the books! They tell the story the author wants us to know! I love the show but it has to change some things to fit the medium. The book is from the soul of the author!
Ian gave William the rosary when he saved him in the swamp. When Ian left, Rachel tried to give them back to him, but asked that William keep them. Jamie gave Ian the rosary. Jamie gave William his Papist name as James before he left Helwater and the wooden snake with his name on it. And yes he does throw them @ Jamie, but that is to be seen yet if they keep close to book. They have been good about keeping parts that speak volumes in the series. But nothing compares to the books for filling in while series is on hiatus.
No it's not. The books are a convoluted mess that will only confuse people more. The author wants you to see these characters COMPLETELY DIFFERENT than they are in the show. The book characters are NOT likeable, at all. The show changed things for THE BETTER, the book is from a domineering, rape-obsessed airhead.@@deabeckwith3897
But the books and the show are completely different. If you recall, Ian gave the rosary to William when he was injured and said he got it from his uncle and it will give him strength. When William parted with Denny and and Rachel, he gave them the money but said he would keep the rosary.
@@dawnstenson4533 . Maybe Rachel Hunter comments innocently to William that his face reminds her of Jamie Fraser. She discovered before that William grows a red beard.
First, William looked NOTHING like Jamie as a child. Why they could not find a child more similar in appearance is a mystery to me. Then we now have William as an adult with BLACK hair and no resemblance whatsoever. Diana is fine with this? In reading the books, I thought William was so shockingly identical to Jamie that Jamie had to flee before everyone saw the resemblance. This made no sense in the screen version. It felt like film gaslighting. We were all supposed to believe that the child actor looked like Jamie. Ah no. And the adult William couldn't look much more different. There are many ways for a man to be handsome, but these 2 are from very different categories.
William in the books was said to have inherited his mother’s dark hair and I believe Lord John comments on the fact that it is fortunate that William doesn’t share Jamie’s red hair or the lie would have all been over when William was still a baby… he shares a resemblance in the eyes (said to be cat-like similar to Jamie’s, Brianna’s and Jenny’s blue eyes in the books)l the facial features, and ‘a certain cock to his head’ are, I believe, the words used. He doesn’t have to be Jamie’s twin for the resemblance to have been problematic especially when it is said that as he grows older it is expected for him to look more and more like Jamie himself so the casting choices for both the young William and the older William were on point for a kid that has to resemble Sam Heughan and incorporate some of Geneva’s (his mother’s) features. Th4 only casting choice in regards to William that never sat perfect with me was the preteen William but aside from that I think they did a great job.
Yes William should know just like Brianna found out that Jamie was her dad for God sake writer let them have a father son moment it's not Jamie fault what happen to his mum she was running away from that old man and she was treating him what choice he had he was truth full to her and explain what love is really is and I was proud of Jamie for that .William just have to remember the good moment as a kid he had with Jamie .
I'm hearing rumblings about a movie possibly for the "true" ending to this story, after Diana finishes book ten. I think this is a clear indication that J & C survive Season 9 of the show, giving them a "happy" ending. Once the books are finished, they can make the movie. I hope they do this, so we get Diana's ending. Game of Thrones should have done this, and it would have put pressure on GRRM to finish if he knew a movie was the only way to get a proper ending, instead of the travesty of eighth-grade book report writing that shows ended with. So glad the Outlander writers truly care about their series and Diana's legacy.

Once William finds out, if he finds out, that Jamie is his real father, then he will realize he is not the 9th Earl of Whatever. Then he has to decide if he lives that lie. William needs to be reminded that Jamie gave him life, no small deed, and that his mother asked Jamie to spend a night with her before she married the 8th Earl, a man who could have been her father. But this will definitely be an emotional moment that will overturn the foundational beliefs of his life. He's the son of a whoreson, lol.
