I've heard this song a lot. My favorite part is in the breakdown, amidst all of the electronic music, the "bell" sound were glass bottles filled with water to change their pitch. I still look forward to hearing it every time. My favorite songs from this album are Paint a Rumor and I Could Give You A Mirror. No one else is reacting to them b/c they weren't chart toppers. Excellent music tho.

The music was provided by the premier synthesizer genius named Georgio Moroder, who preformed all of the music for Donna Summer and who is the father of Techno music

As a huge Eurythmics fan, I find Sweet Dreams to be overrated, highly commercial and repetitive. On the other hand, the second single released from that album, Love Is a Stranger, has better lyrical content and shows off Annie Lennox's vocal prowess overall. Other Eurythmics tracks worth checking out: Right By Your Side, Here Comes the Rain Again, There Must Be an Angel (Playing with My Heart), Love You Like a Ball and Chain, and Missionary Man.
I just love how so much synthpop New wave music from the 80's is so timeless! It sounds as fresh today as the day it was released!
It's a stone cold classic. So many great Eurythmics songs but their third album 'Touch' is quite extraordinary.

You're confused, that song was never number 1 in the USA. If it was in the UK, for 4 weeks. In the USA it reached the top 5, but not #1.
