I love all of the divers (in gear) who instantly speed towards the contestants, as they are so professional and good at recognising when someone has had a bad landing.
It is because that river Neretva is freezing cold even in summer, so divers might get shocked or something after he get in the water that fast. It has happened before.
I only dive off 10m and once I failed to get both arms in and I Popper a vein or something because you could see blood underneath, I’m not talking blue or black I’m talking reddish pink. Couldn’t imagine what would happen from 20m
0:43 - I knew this man personally. Artem Silchenko. He told many horror stories about the failed landing. Even if you deviate only a few degrees from the vertical axis when entering the water, this is enough to injure your neck or spine. But in this video splashdowns are scarier.
Anna Gross i am a cliffdiver and yes it may hurt but if you know how and what you do for flip or dive just never get on the place of youre back or stomach thats the places where it hurts the most just try to dive from 3m and than go 4m and higher try it out
These guys are badssses. I'm crying off a diving board when I slap my back, leg etc. I was nervous at 40 ft. These guys are jumping 100 ft at 70mph? Miss the redbull stop in Boston. Such a random place to stop, but was there for 2 yrs they came. Amazing.
I have always been very interested in this issue of bad falls in the water, since I jumped 32 meters and I made 2 herniated discs, and I fell "well" and straight .. Greetings from Spain, I hope there is a second part of this! I love how you also compiled the moments later to see if they came out well from the water
at those heights its better to be throwing flips off, you don't accelerate as much though you are close to the same speed. either way 32 meters is a massive jump
Ouch! At the speed they smash into the water, I can't imagine it feels a whole lot softer than a parking lot! I wonder if some of those guys broke bones...
I dived from 1/5 of what these guys jump from and tore a shoulder rotator cuff. Can’t imagine what damage had been done, and pain these guys are going through
Iv never jumped off of a cliff but hats off to the people who do. That's a ballsy sport and that video looked like a bunch of brave bad asses excepting their painful mistakes. Glad no athletes where seriously injured. Once again hats off to extreme sport athletes like cliff divers.
Nah, I think he meant to open up there but realized he was a bit short and tried to make up for it with an extra backflip to not land head first. You can see him untuck and then quickly snap back into it but it was too late already.
Been there done that in 1986 Gainesville Florida at old limestone quarries with 75 to 80 foot walls at the age 15 and walked off every "oops" after a few minutes. Mostly hurt bottom of feet or few bruised ribs from bad landings. Sadly a neighborhood has been built next to them with constant security. The Quarries in Gainesville, Florida. Look it up they were fun and I would jump them again today at 51 years old. The rush of the fall will never fade.
They hit the water at about 30 m/s (3 second drop to contract with water) The guys that dont get it right probably broke, fractured or ruptured some things as they have what is equivalent to a car crash at 100 km/h or about 70mph with an airbag..

Some of these guys didn't seem to have a lot of experience with diving from that height! Move the platform 10 or 15 meters higher!

its protocol even if the dive looks perfect they still have to check
They know it was a bad from the start and start swiming over❤
How do you know they use steroids?
It is because that river Neretva is freezing cold even in summer, so divers might get shocked or something after he get in the water that fast. It has happened before.
Они всегда начинают погружаться на всякий случай. Даже если прыжок выполнен нормально
You can literally break bones/have internal bleeding from these heights if you land wrong. Much respect!

I stood on a piece of Lego once in bare feet so I know how much pain these guys have gone thru.
I know it’s a joke but these people almost died
A lego hurts so much worse then what they did

Anyone know what type of injuries can happen, like is it possible to break a bone?
You can be die, break abone, or bleeding
Severe brain damage. Split intestine/stomach, spinal injuries, etc.
You could do a hell of a lot more than just break a bone at those heights!!
Basically all the same things that happen when you get hit by a bus, with the addition of drowning.
So possible!
The dangers of trying this alone or not enough people is that some of them would’ve died by drowning unconsciously if there wasn’t help
This is FAR more entertaining than the successful dives
1:57 holy sheit
Any hight more than 10m is dangerous.

you can make any height dangerous if u try hard enough lol
