Nightwolf has pretty much always been one of my favorite Mortal Kombat characters of all time simply because I really find Native American culture to be interesting and he seems to be a very wise and noble character in the roster.
I'm glad a real native played nightwolf, Lite foot came to my tribal school on the yakama reservation when I was a kid, super nice guy I never forgot that

I always thought it would have been hilarious is Nightwolf’s axe hit Liu Kang blade first and just sunk right into his skull and Nightwolf just says “Oh shit...” and just turns back into a wolf and runs off into the wilderness.

I admit, I totally enjoy MK 1995 and MK Annihilation. They can definitely be silly at times, but if you think about the video game franchise, it is also very silly at times. These 2 movies actually feel like Mortal Kombat.
Please don’t put the first MK in the same category as Annihilation. 🤣 MK 95 is nowhere near as silly as this movie. Cheeky and dated, sure, but this movie is downright horrendous lol
The first movie was not silly at all, I think it was excellent, so was the fights. Second movie was a bit cheesy and silly, but still enjoyed it with all the many characterz in that film

They should have focused more on a few core characters rather than randomly throwing characters in the end with a second or 2 of screen time. Not only is character development easier, but you can expand the universe later.
Looking back on it, the line “the tournament had rules, this time anything goes” is really funny. Neither Shang Tsung nor the emperor gave a crap about the rules and the opponents were already killing each other, so what exactly changed?🤣

That CGI from Nightwolf turning back into a human is pretty good CGI for what they had at the time. Other CGI was awful though. For example, when Sonya beat Mileena and that dragon spawned. That was really bad CGI.

They are some of the best video game film adaptations ever made.
This Nightwolf was such a smart ass and then there was Nightwolf on “Defenders Of The Realm” who was very nice and consciences.
Man, I loved this show as a kid. SubZero (Kuai Lyang), Liu Kang, Nightwolf and Kiva was my favourites!
